Lillianna and the Sand (1)

16: Lillianna

      I watched Jake in horror. Was this what I looked like? No, I probably looked worse. He had a red aura around him. He was in a frenzy. He slowed down making the monsters suffer and then speeding up going crazy. He was like a war machine killing everything in his path. Suddenly he threw his spear right next to me. "Watch it!" He yelled. He went back into his frenzy except this time he was killing monsters with his bare hands. He didn't even turn into an animal. He didn't need to.
     I feel horrible. He doesn't even like me. He said it aloud and with that thought I joined in. Jake looked confused but went back to his frenzy. At first I took out Riptide to get into it but I stopped using it once I got into a frenzy of my own. "AHH!" I bellowed snapping the neck of a monster. The waves had begun crashing and the wind was intense. I had an aura of darkness around me. Soon enough the army of monsters was dead.
      I was still in my frenzy grabbing Riptide I wasn't thinking straight. There was darkness pouring off me at this point. I snuck up behind the only living thing left and grabbed it from behind putting my sword against its throat.
     "Lily?" It asked and turned around I changed positions so that the point of my sword was against its throat. "How do you know my name?" I yelled. "What are you talking about it's Jake!" It yelled. At the word Jake I collapsed and cried.
                                          Jake    
     I had just finished cooling off from my frenzy when someone grabbed me and put a sword against my throat. It was Riptide? "Lily?" I asked and turned around. I was horrified. Her face was murderous and her eyes were completely crazy. Darkness was pouring from her. She looked almost evil. No, she definitely looked evil. "How do you know my name?" She yelled. Does she not know who I am? "What are you talking about it's Jake!" I yelled. At that word she collapsed and Riptide made a clang. The darkness began to disappear and she started to cry.
      I dropped to the floor and hugged her while she cried into my shoulder. "I almost killed you!" She yelled between sobs. "I'm crazy! I could've killed you!" She yelled again. I kept shushing her and rocking us gently. "If I was still in my frenzy, I would've done that too." I admitted. Her shaking lessened but she kept crying. "Hey, it's ok Ocean Girl." I soothed.
      Eventually she stopped crying. Her head was still on my shoulders. I hugged her tighter and she snuggled into my shoulder. She fell asleep from exhaustion and I was going to move but I fell asleep next to her. A few minutes later I woke up.
     "What the Hades!" Someone yelled and I woke up I realized I was cuddling Lily. I immediately shot up and so did Lillianna. I was blushing and so was Lily. "What happened?" Zizi asked. "It's a long story." I replied. "Short version I was crying and Jake was comforting me and we fell asleep." She answered for me. Zizi raised her eyebrows and I could tell she was trying not to snicker.
      Lily looked like she remembered something and turned to look at the sand and sighed. Immediately the boat went back on course. "You're lucky I woke up or who knows what would've happened." Zizi said. "Yeah, thanks!" I mumbled still blushing. Zizi went up to Lily and whispered something in her ear and she nodded blushing really hard.
       "How long till we get there?" Zizi asked. "A few more hours. Enough for a nap if anyone is tired." Lillianna replied. "You should sleep Ocean Girl you were exhausted when you fell asleep." I added and Lily was about to argue but I glared and gave her a pleading look. "FINE, Blood Boy!" She yelled and left to sleep.

      When all this is over I'm going to leave camp and go stay with my dad or Hades. I'm way to dangerous. I almost killed Jake! I WOULD'VE KILLED HIM! Maybe I can ask Hades. I kept thinking about this until I fell asleep.
      In my dream I was in Eslyium talking to a demigod. I left and was walking back to my uncle's palace. I then heard screaming except this was different from the ones from the fields of punishment. I ran towards the noise and Persephone was screaming at dozens of monsters emerging from Tartarus. Persephone looked at me and nodded. I was immediately shaking my head but she glared at me.
        "Not again!" I muttered and darkness started to increase around me. I uncapped Riptide and charged. A few minutes later I was in a frenzy. All the monsters were dead and clouds of darkness were raining with slain monster blood.
        I turned around my hands ready to snap a neck but a hand held mine. "Jake!" It said and I collapsed. I looked up and saw Persephone looking at me worried. "I'm sorry." She apologized. I nodded and she tried to smile but I could tell she was still worried. "Is this a dream?" I asked. "Kind of. You're sleeping but you're here and this was an actual problem. Hades was going to deal with it but I wanted to try something." Persephone replied.
       "It seems that being so powerful and being a descendant of Hades is a very easy combination to turn you evil. If it wasn't for Jake you would stay in your frenzy." Persephone explained. "I'm pretty sure the name of any loved one will break it." She continued. "I don't love Jake." I interrupted. "Well this test says otherwise." Persephone replied. "You sound like Aphrodite." I responded and she looked offended. "Huh, I guess I do sorry and sorry for the test." She said. "It's fine and don't be sorry for the test at least I know what's going on." I replied and she nodded.
       I woke up and saw Jake sleeping and Zizi exhausted. "Monster attack?" I asked and she didn't even turn around and nodded. "Go to sleep." I suggested and she nodded immediately falling asleep. I really need to talk to someone. I tried to Iris message my friends but the connection wouldn't establish. In one final attempt I called my dad not sure what I would say. I was really nervous because demigods don't normally talk to their parents.
       I was surprised when my dad answered. "Are you ok?" He said before I could say anything. "I don't know." I replied and he looked confused and worried. I told him about the frenzy with Jake. I also told him about my dream and what Persephone said. The whole time he was looking at me worried. "I'm sorry dad, you probably have so many things to do." I finished.
      "No don't be none of my work is as important as this except maybe for stopping the raging storm Zeus brewed up by the ocean in Washington." He replied and my eyes widened. "Why did you let me talk to you! You should probably go fix that!" I replied and he laughed. "I'm sure it's fine Artemis is probably working on it." He said still laughing at me.
      "Dad! People could die!" I responded getting worried. "No I'm sure it's fine by now. Here let me turn on Hephaestus TV." He said while flicking his hand. The TV turned on and of course my dad was right and the storm had stopped but it was still cloudy no sign of the sun. "Guess Zeus is still mad." I said smiling and Poseidon nodded.
      "After this I'm probably going to live with you or Hades. I'm too dangerous and unpredictable to be around other people." I said after a few seconds of silence. "No! You're not staying with Hades." He said. "Why?" I asked. "Being around darkness will probably make it worse." He replied and I nodded because that was a good point. "Yeah but what if the opposite is true." I said and he nodded because I also brought up a good point.
      After a while I decided on what to do. "I'll just ask Hades." I said and my dad smiled. "I can't wait till you see more of Atlantis. It would be so fun having you around here." My dad beamed and I softly blushed. Suddenly my dads face changed to sympathy I think and he said bye so I did the same confused until I turned around.
      Jake was staring at me with his mouth open and his eyes watering. "Jake I-" i started to say but was cut off by Jake. "Why? I thought you liked the Camps! And your friends! And me!" He yelled on the verge of tears but before I could say anything he turned into a falcon and flied ahead. I woke up Zizi so she could steer while I chased after Jake.
      "Jake! Wait, please!" I kept yelling but I was tired of flying so much. I eventually sank lower and lower not going forward just hovering. Eventually I touched the water and I kept sinking. I didn't even try to go back to boat. I felt better here but I still had darkness around me. Eventually the sadness subsided and anger was increasing. The water seemed to shake, darkness was all around me, and the water was below freezing but boiling at the same time.
      My hands snapped up ready to kill. There was nothing in sight so my hands started twitching and then my eyes. Slowly my whole body was twitching and the water and darkness mixed to make something truly terrifying. My own monsters to kill.
      I started my frenzy getting crazier and crazier until I thought was KILL, SUFFER, TORTURE, AND TERROR. At this point I was only using my fingers. Of course the monsters were endless because I was creating them. I kept going for who knows how long. Now I was like an animal using only my nails and teeth.
      I turned around to kill but the monster wouldn't die with a few scratches. "Lily!" It yelled. "Shut up! My monsters don't talk!" I bellowed and then cackled. "LILY! STOP PLEASE!" It yelled and I laughed. "Ocean Girl, it's me Jake!" It whispered and I stopped having a debate with myself. Monster my craziness yelled. Jake I yelled. "It's me Jake I'm not a monster!" It said and I won and collapsed.
      I looked up and saw a shark. "You're not Jake!" I growled and started getting mad again. The shark turned into Jake and immediately he started drowning. "JAKE!" I yelled as I made an air bubble. He coughed up water while we were heading to the surface.
       I was holding back tears because I didn't want Jake to comfort me I should comfort him. "I- I'm s- so sor-ry!" I stuttered while hugging him tight and willing all the water out of him. "It's ok!" He replied but he was shaking. We both hugged each other tightly. "I thought I lost you to the craziness." He mumbled shaking still. "I almost killed you again!" I replied and tears fell down my face into Jake's collar bone and healed his cut instantly.
      "What the Hades?" I said and unwrapped myself from Jake inspecting where has cut from me used to be. I looked up and saw Jake smiling at me. "See you're not evil if you were you wouldn't have healing powers." Jake said. I just cried more while Jake whipped my tears. He was completely healed by the time I stopped crying. "Jake now you understand why I can't stay at the camps they'll be in danger from ME!" I whispered because if I spoke louder I would start crying again. His face was crushed instantly but he didn't run away this time.
      "I'll make sure that doesn't happen." He replied. "Please stay." He pleaded. He looked broken and at that I started crying again while nodding. He partly smiled but kept soothing me until rocks were hitting my head. I looked up and realized the boat was above us and Zizi was dropping rocks. I immediately brought the air bubble up.
      "What were you doing down there?" She asked. I started to say something but couldn't, "I-" I was going to cry again. I turned towards Jake's chest and cried into him. I looked up and saw Jake glaring and Zizi seemingly having a conversation with his eyes. Jake was brushing his hands on my upper back and shushing me. "Shh, it's okay! I'll make sure it doesn't happen." He said in a soft voice.
       Jake let go of me for a second to fix my hair and his but I collapsed. "Lily!" He screamed. I couldn't say anything I just started shaking and Jake laid down next to me pulling himself closer. As I fell asleep I felt a blanket thrown on me and Jake.
