Lillianna and the Sand (1)

12: Jake

       We walked over to the training arena and the campers were already there. First we did a demonstration. We kept going at it until one of the campers yelled ok we get it.
We realized we had been going on it for a while so we stopped. Half the campers went with me and the others with Lily. Most of them got the hang of it but a few still needed help for both of us. I looked over and saw a bunch of boys flirting with Lily and she didn't even notice. I was getting really mad but my students still needed help.
       After a while two girls were left and I realized they were flirting with me so I told them I was done for the day. I looked over and saw the same boys still with her. I got and idea. "Hey Ocean Girl I'm done!" I said and gave her a long kiss. I think she understood my message. "Want to go to the beach?" I asked. "She's still training us." One of the boys said and smirked. "Alright then I'll just cut in then." I said and grinned. They all looked mad.
       They weren't even bad they just pretended so they could spend more time with Lily. "Alright you guys you're done for the day. Dismissed!" I said and the boys left. "Thanks for the save I didn't even notice." She said. "You're welcome! what are boyfriends for?" I replied and smirked while she blushed. "Are we going to the beach or not?" She asked. "Oh we're not actually going to the beach. I thought we could go back to your cabin." I responded and winked. "Oh no we're not. You said beach so that's where we are going." She replied. "It was worth a try." I added and laced my hand with hers.
        We got down to the beach and she pushed me into the water. "Hey!" I yelled. "Oh come on Blood Boy just follow me." She said and swam underwater. I kept following her until I couldn't hold my breath any longer and thought I was going to drown but then I inhaled and it was air. I realized I was in an air bubble. "You really thought I would let you drown Blood Boy?" She asked and I yelped. "Gods Ocean Girl you scared me." I replied. I was about to say something but then she pulled me into kiss. When we finally broke apart for air I smirked. "This is even better than your cabin." I exclaimed. "I thought so. Don't ever doubt me again." She replied. Instead of saying something I kissed her again.
        "WAKE UP WE'RE BEING ATTACKED!" I heard someone yell. I realized it was Zizi. I immediately woke up grabbing my spear. I looked around and we were on land and Lily wasn't here. "What's going on?" I asked. "I'll explain later just kill them!" She yelled back. I stabbed with my spear. I guess I just liked this weapon better. We defeated the monsters pretty fast.
        "Ok so what's going on?" I asked again. "We came on Florida an hour ago. Lily went to get food and after she comes back we're going back on the water. We would be there in a few hours according to Lily." Zizi replied. "Cool." I said and as I was about to say something else Lily arrived. "Hey you're awake." Lily said. "Yeah I kind of had to wake up, monster attack." I replied. "Oh my gods are you guys ok?" She asked while dropping the food. "Yeah we're fine." Zizi answered while Lily picked up the food and ran over to me.
        "Oh by the way what day is it?" Lily asked and drank some water. "December 17 I think." I replied and she spit out the water. "WHAT!" She yelled. "What's wrong that's plenty of time to get to Poseidon's castle?" I asked. "YEAH BUT THERE IS A SECOND PART TO THE QUEST!" She yelled back. "Oh shoot." I replied. "Come on no time to waste we can eat on the boat." Zizi added. We ran to the boat and set off.
          We were moving faster than usual. "Lily calm down you're going to break the boat!" I said. "The boat won't break we need to get there now!" She replied. It was sunset when we got there. "Ok everyone dive!" She commanded as she dived. So I listened as soon as I touched the water there was an air bubble around me.

          I'm so nervous about meeting my father. What should I call him? Your majesty, Lord Poseidon, Poseidon, father, dad? I think either Poseidon or father. I missed him for all of my life and now I finally get to meet him. "Lily you're shaking are you ok?" I heard Jake. I realized I had slowed and merged into Jake's bubble. "Yeah just my dad." I replied. "Should I call him Poseidon or father?" I added. "Dad probably." He answered. "That's wasn't one of my options." I replied. "Ok fine father then." He answered. "Thank you!" I responded.
         We finally got to the gates. Couldn't people just swim over? I touched above the gate and I couldn't get through. I guess not. "Who are you?" A guard asked. "Lily." I replied. "Never heard of you please leave." He responded. "How about Lillianna Ace daughter of Poseidon and descendant of Zeus, Hades, and Athena?" I asked a with a little bit of anger. The guard gulped and opened the gates. "Good to know the castle is protected so well your dad should probably get some new guards." Jake said. "Yeah I'll tell him." I replied.
         I saw a few more guards but I had put up some mini water tornadoes around me so they wouldn't question anything. I think I looked angry because everyone was really scared. "Um Lily you're emitting shadows." Zizi said. "Oops sorry." I replied but I let the shadows stay because they helped. Zizi and Jake looked confused so I eyed the guards and they understood.
        When we finally entered the throne room I let the shadows disappear. I saw my dad talking to a guard with an angry expression. "Just do your job!" He yelled. Maybe I shouldn't mention getting new guards. "Father?" I interrupted. He immediately turned around and his expression softened. Does that mean he's happy to see me? He turned back to the guard whispered something and then smiled at me. "Lily!" He exclaimed and walked over to me shrinking with every step so that when he finally reached me he was only a few inches taller than me.
         He hugged me. Wait gods don't normally hug their children. I hugged back smiling I think my tornadoes disappeared. "Lily I'm so sorry!" He apologized. "What for?" I asked. "For leaving you." He answered. "Why would you be sorry? I understand gods can't stay with their demigod children." I replied. "You're not mad at me?" He asked confused. "No. I missed you!" I responded and hugged him again. He beamed.
        "I asked your mother if you guys wanted to stay with me and she said no." Poseidon interrupted. "She never told me that!" I replied calmly getting mad and I think shadows started to emit from me again. "Lily it's not your mother's fault she wanted you to have a normal childhood." Poseidon responded. "Better than a bad childhood." I muttered. "What?" He asked.
         "I would've wanted to stay." I replied. He just smiled and then looked like he had an idea. "You still can!" He finally said. I brightened the shadows disappearing again. "Really?" I asked knowing gods don't do this. "Yeah." He replied. I heard a caugh and realized it was Zizi. I had totally forgotten about my friends. "Oh yeah. Dad?" I asked. "Yes." He responded. "I came to ask you about the traitor from the Great Prophecy." I replied. "Oh yes I forgot that's why you came. You may want to sit down and Jake you should come closer as well." He said. "The traitor is the person you saw in the vision talking to Nyx." He said. "Me?" I asked. "No not you." He replied. I heard Jake sigh in relief.
        "When you were born you had a twin sister. She was stolen by one of Night's minions I came in to fight them but they had already gotten her. But they couldn't get you since I arrived." He continued. WHAT? "That's why I stayed a month after you were born to make sure you didn't get stolen and why your mom asked for a barrier." He added. "I had a twin sister?" I asked. "Yes but don't hesitate to kill her. She is completely evil. She's directly working with Nyx." He finished. "I have to kill Madison?" I asked. "Yes but that time won't come for a few years they need time to prepare if you delay there plans." He said. I looked over at Zizi and saw she had already pieced the puzzle. "How do we delay their plans?" I asked. "You have to follow sands to a land on a different plane and destroy an ancient weapon. No one knows what it is but we know how to destroy it." He answered. "A demigod descendant or child of Hades has to use the sands and kill an innocent soul with the weapon to destroy it." He finished.
        "So Lily has to kill me with the weapon." She stated interrupting the silence. "Yes." He replied looking broken. I decided Zizi was okay but even if she wasn't Jake went over to talk to her. "Dad are you ok?" I asked. "The gods have never asked a demigod to kill another that was an innocent friend. To have it be my own daughter killing her friend." He replied. "Dad I'm fine. I already knew she was going to die. Sure it makes me sick to find out I have to kill her but we've both already accepted she has to die." I replied. "You knew she was going to die?" He asked. "Yeah She has the smell of death." I replied. "Right I keep forgetting you're a descendant of my brother." He responded.
         "Yeah I even saw him when I died." I stated. "YOU DIED?" He asked. "Well not really I mean my heart and breathing stopped but that was just because my soul went to the Underworld." I replied my dad getting worried. "I would've died if I wasn't a descendant of Hades. Anyways so he told me I had to pass a trials of tests and whatnot." I continued and my dad looked really bad now. "Yeah so I passed thanks to Jake pouring water on me when I was in a coma. Thanks for being my dad by the way." I said and he lightened up a bit. "Well glad I was of help." He joked. 
         "So when I was down there Hades said I could visit anytime." I finished. "No fair! He never invites me down there." He whined. "I try to have a good relationship with him but I guess he thinks it's unfair I got a better place to rule than him." He added. "I try to invite him here but Zeus always gets mad. I mean it's my place I should be able to invite him here." He finished. "Maybe you should tell him that." I advised. "You know that's a good idea." He said. "You know if the gods ever give me a wish I'll wish that for you." I whispered in his ear in case Zeus was listening. His face brightened.
         "You would really do that? I mean none of my children have ever done that." He said. "Yeah I would." I promised. "Thank you!" He replied and hugged me. He'll probably end up squealing after I leave. I almost laughed at the thought.
         "Nice to see you've already mastered most of your powers." He said changing the subject. "Most?" I asked. "You haven't actually used your shadow powers in real life." He said and winked. "Wait you know what happened in my coma?" I asked. "Yeah and I approve." He answered and I blushed. "Don't worry I won't tell him." He added and I blushed more. "Bye dad!" I finally managed to say. "Bye!" He replied and winked again. I blushed more and left with the sand in a jar.
