Lillianna and the Sand (1)

18: Lillianna

"We'll be there in a few minutes maybe." I pointed out. "Gods Zizi, I just realized how you must feel. You're so close to death." Jake said but Zizi didn't look dazed. "Yeah the feeling of death is getting stronger." I added. "Zizi, are you ok?" Jake asked. "Yeah just wondering which one of my options will happen." She replied. "Probably the one with the stars it seems the most likely." Jake responded. "Yeah." I agreed and Zizi nodded.
"Let's hope I don't have to use my thing again." I said after a while, a bit panicked. "I'll make sure nothing happens." Jake added and gave me a quick hug. "Hey what did Hades say anyway?" Zizi interrupted and my face turned paler. "He said it seems the more I use it the worse it becomes." I whisper and they both looked worried. I manage a fake smile and neither of them or convinced.
I kept thinking about killing Zizi. How could I kill my friend? I at that I suddenly started crying. Jake and Zizi were talking but Jake yelled, "Lily!" and ran over with Zizi right behind him. "I won't kill you, I can't Zizi!" I said as I stopped crying. "Lily you have to." Jake said. "Can't Fiona do it?" I asked getting the idea. "She's not here." Zizi replied. "She can shadow travel." I responded. "Well she can't because we can't reach her Iris messages to our friends won't establish." Jake pointed out. "Oh yeah." I said glumly and went to sulk in the water.
"Where are you going?" Jake asked. "To think." I replied and jumped off before anyone could say anything. I started towards the bottom but I heard someone "Stop." It said in my head and I turned around to see a shark circling me. "Jake leave me alone." I replied. "No! Remember what happened last time you were down here." He replied. "I'm not coming back up!" I screamed. "Then I'm staying down here." He stated and gestured for me to make an air bubble with his fins. Instead of pushing him back up I listened.
I sat as far away from him as possible but he came closer. "You know if you keep coming closer I can just leave you in here." I said. "Why are mad at me?" He asked with a hurt expression. "I'm not mad at you." I answered. "Then stop pushing me away." He retorted and I scowled at him. "Please Ocean Girl!" He pleaded. I don't know why but I let him come towards me. He pulled me into an embrace and I let him.
He stopped and said, "That wasn't so hard now was it." and I smiled.
After a while I sensed we had arrived. "We're here." I said as I willed the water to bring us up. "Are you ok?" Jake asked. "To be honest no but I have to deal with it." I replied and he nodded. We reached the top see that Zizi was already on the island and had her bow out and aimed. I looked over and saw an army of monsters.
"No! Why did there have to be an army!" I screamed and Zizi looked over at me but turned back to army. "I'll make sure nothing happens." Jake whispered in my ear and set off while I let darkness pour around me. It only took a second this time because the whole island radiates darkness. "DIE ALL OF YOU!" I yelled immediately not even starting with Riptide this time.
I snapped necks, kicked hearts, scratched heads, bit off limbs, and punched everything else. "ANYONE ELSE WANT TO TRY!" I bellowed at the remaining monsters which were different from normal monsters. They hesitated but remembered their job. Ten attacked at the same time but I used the wind to snap all their necks. I laughed as I I killed them. Soon there was two figures across from me. "Go on then try to kill me!" I said while I laughed.
"It's Jake!" It said and lunged at me. I tried to snap its neck but the other figure held my hands. The figure that lunged at me gave me a hug and I hesitated. It saw that the hug didn't do whatever he wanted it to do then kissed my cheek. I immediately collapsed and the darkness lessened. "It was worse this time!" I yelled. "It's just the island." Jake replied while hugging me and I nodded.
"Guys we came here to destroy the weapon, come on." Zizi interrupted. I looked around for the weapon then I saw it. It was a doubled headed axe with a spear point at the top and the shaft was made out of shadows. Now I understand why I have to use it. Jake was holding the sands as we walked over.
Immediately I knew how to use the sands. "Give it to me." I said gesturing towards the sands. I sprinkled some of the sands on the rocks that were holding the weapon. Immediately the rocks disappeared leaving the weapon floating. I poured half of the remaining sands on the shaft so I could hold it without the shadows killing me. I saved the rest to pour half on Zizi and half on the weapon.
"I'm ready." Zizi said. "I'm so sorry." I replied and threw the sands on her and the weapon. I jabbed the spear point at her heart and she started to collapse but before she could I swung the axe part at her neck. Her body fell with her neck right next to her and the weapon burst darkness knocking Jake unconscious. I didn't even have time to mourn Zizi. "Jake!" I yelled and caught him before he fell. His life was fading fast.
I tried to shadow travel but the island wouldn't let me. The island started to fall apart as I ran to the boat with Jake in my arms. I didn't know how I was lifting him though.
As soon as I got into the boat I shadow traveled to Camp Halfblood. "Help he's dying." I yelled at some Apollo campers. I saw Skylar amongst them. Why didn't she go back to Camp Jupiter? The Apollo campers were staring at me. "Help!" I yelled again and that jarred then into action. I then realized why they were staring I had shadows coming off me. With that thought everything became black and I collapsed.
