14: Lillianna

           I can't believe I kissed Jake what was I thinking? He was definitely blushing. I'm just glad I was surrounded by shadows so he couldn't see me blushing. I've never done this before. What if something happens to me? Before I could worry anymore I arrived in the Underworld.
           None of the guards asked questions. They probably would've if they didn't see me shadow travel. They must think I'm a child of Hades. When I got inside though it was a different story.
          "Who are you?" a guard asked. "I'm Lillianna Ace descendant of Hades of course. Why else would I be here?" I replied. "Likely story." The guard responded. "Oh yeah if I wasn't a descendant of Hades could I do this?" I asked them shadow traveled directly behind him. I felt his heart spike. "You know if you're a guard you shouldn't get scared so easily." I hissed and walked away. Woah, were did that come from? I'm not that mean.
          As I walked in I was impressed. This place is amazing for underground. "Uncle?" I questioned as I walked inside the throne room. "Lily?" He asked and I could tell he was confused. "What are you doing here?" He asked actually surprised. "I came to visit and ask a question." I said. "Oh I didn't actually think you would come back. No one really does." He replied. "Well they should." I responded and smiled. "How long are you staying for?" He asked. "Two days." I replied.
         He seemed to emit less darkness. "Great! Your room is second door down the hall on the left." He said. Guess I made him happy. "Hey can I play with Cerberus tomorrow?" I asked before I left. His face was shocked. "Are you sure you're ok?" He asked. "Yeah why?" I responded. "Well first of all no one asks to play with Cerberus and second Cerberus is really dangerous. You could get hurt." He replied. "It's fine! So can I?" I asked again. "Sure but be careful." He replied as I walked away. "Thanks Uncle!" I added and disappeared down the hall.
        Ok not going to lie but the room is better than I thought but the bed is super uncomfortable. Tomorrow is December 18 which would mean 3 more days till the winter solstice. It took me forever to fall asleep but I finally did.
        I was dreaming about some ice cream when the scene shifted. "Having fun in the Underworld?" I heard a voice say. I realized it was my dad. "Dad?" I questioned. "Yeah. So having fun in the Underworld?" He asked again. "I just got here so I don't know. Oh but tomorrow Hades is letting me play with Cerberus." I answered. "Wait what!" He yelled. "Dad relax. I've heard Cerberus is a real softie." I replied. "Right totally. Ok but if you die I'm starting a war." He responded. "First of all I won't die and second of all DAD!" I replied. "Just kidding. Maybe." He said and muttered the last part.
        "I wish I could come." He said. "Dad be patient. You've lived for like forever a little longer won't do anything." I replied. "Have my friends called for help yet?" I asked. "No but you should see this." He responded trying not to laugh. The scene changed and there was a sea lion dragging a boat. Oh my gods please don't tell me that's our boat and Jake dragging it as a sea lion. I then saw the sand and no Jake on the boat. Of course that's what's happening. I bet he is so proud of himself.
         The scene changed back to my dad except he was laughing. "Please tell Jake to get some sleep it's like past midnight." I said. "Ok but that is an awesome idea." Re replied. "Eh I don't know." I responded. "Have you seen Persephone yet?" He asked. "No, she was probably sleeping when I arrived." I replied. "Don't you think that's why Hades is in a good mood?" He asked. "Probably." I replied. I heard some yelling from the scene. "What's going on?" I asked. "Boring work! I got to go!" He said. "Bye dad!" I yelled before the scene changed back to ice cream.
         I finally woke up from a stupid cat chasing dog dream. I got ready and left my room. I was about to head outside then I remembered I should probably bring toys or something. Red rubber ball, two squeaky bones, and some treats. I started to head back outside but was stopped by a beautiful woman. "Aren't you going to eat breakfast dear?" She asked. I'm guessing it was Persephone. "I forgot about it. Guess I'm excited to see Cerberus. I don't know why though he's probably going to kill me." I replied. "Let me tell you secret. Cerberus loves red rubber balls and I see you have one so you're all good." She whispered and I smiled.
          Persephone lead me to a breakfast room. All there was were some ambrosia and nectar. "I know you can't eat this except for emergencies or a lot of it but at least eat a bit." I heard Hades say. "Ok. Thanks Uncle." I replied and he just softened. I don't think anyone has seen him smile and that's sad. You know what I'll make it my mission to get him to smile.
          I ate a bit and excused myself from the table. I still needed a guard to guard the spirits so I decided on a handful of skeletons. I whistled to get Cerberus' attention. He just growled at me but I held up the red rubber ball. He immediately had all six eyes in it. But he pawed the ground to show he had to stay. I used the ball to point to the skeletons. He was confused at first but understood. I threw the ball behind me and let Cerberus get it.
          The left head got a hold of it so the other two started biting at it. I whistled again and threw them the bones. They still looked a bit mad but they calmed down. I made gesture to give the stuff back and they reluctantly released them. I threw them treats and they immediately cheered up. I left a trail of treats so Cerberus would follow me. We walked for a while but they started to get bored.
          I threw the ball and this time the right head got it and before they could bit a threw the bones. They played like this for a while before they switched so that the middle head got the ball. After a while of switching Cerberus was bored again.
          I decided to play tag. "Tag you're it!" I yelled and ran away. Cerberus looked confused, "Chase me!" I yelled and Cerberus started to run after me. I kept shadow traveling but eventually I let Cerberus tackle me. All three heads started licking me but their left paw was crushing me. "Off Cerberus, off boys!" I wheezed. The realized we were stilling playing and ran away.
          I was chasing Cerberus for a while before I decided to tag them. "Tag!" I screamed and ran away. We stayed like that for a while before Cerberus tackled me again. "Off Cerberus!" I said. I stood up and pet Cerberus' legs. "Good boys Cerberus!" I cooed while petting.
         "Alright time to get back. Come on Cerberus!" I said and walked off. It took a few minutes to reach the castle (I already dropped off Cerberus). When I walked in Hades seemed relieved. "See I told you she would be fine!" Persephone said. "Ok! Ok!" Hades replied. "Cerberus is such a good boy! They're adorable!" I interrupted. Hades just looked surprised while Persephone smiled.
         When they were silent I continued. "Ok so we were playing tag and I was chasing Cerberus and they tripped over a big rock and rolled on the ground before leaping up and running. I mean it was adorable they didn't want to be caught." I said smiling. "Wow!" Was all Hades managed. "So did you play fetch?" Persephone asked. "Yeah the other two heads would bit so I threw them bones." I answered. "Good idea." Persephone replied. I had pretty much spent the whole day playing with Cerberus.
         "Hey Uncle you should let Cerberus have fun more often." I said. "Well I can't I'm much too busy and no one wants to go near Cerberus much less play with him. You can when you visit though." He replied. "Ok and can I ask you my question?" I asked. "Sure." He replied. "When Zizi dies will she be sent down to Eslyium? Or will her soul disappear?" I asked worried. "Honestly I'm not sure nothing like this has happened before. If she doesn't come down here that doesn't necessarily mean she's vanished. Her soul could be kept in a vast area of some kind." Hades replied.  "Oh ok, thanks for telling me the truth Uncle. I'll go to bed now." I replied.
         This time as soon as I closed my eyes I drifted off to sleep. I was stalking Emma and Max with Skyler. "How long till they get together do you think?" Skylar asked. "How about now." I replied and used a gust of wind to push Emma's lips onto Max's. I saw Max kiss back before they pulled apart and blushed. They were taking but I couldn't hear.
          They held hands and kissed again. "Oh yeah mission accomplished!" I heard Skylar whisper. "Who's the best matchmaker? Oh yeah I am. Well actually Nadia but never mind." I whisper yelled. "Come on let's give them some privacy." Skylar said and I nodded.
          I started walking towards the Ares cabin. When I arrived I saw Jake sitting outside sharpening his spear. "Jake! Guess what?" I squealed. "What?" He asked. "Mission Dekole accomplished." I replied. "Dekole?" He questioned. "You know Max and Emma's ship name." I answered. "Oh ok." He replied and started sharpening his spear. I started to walk away but turned around. "Hey want to go spar?" I asked and he looked up. "Yeah sure I was done with this anyway." He responded and got up.
         I woke up to an alarm. I looked over and it was 1:00. Great I missed breakfast. At least there was lunch. I changed and walked to the throne room. I saw Hades yelling and darkness rolling off him rapidly. "WHAT DO YOU MEAN THE ENTRANCE TO TARTARUS COLLAPSED!" He yellled. I didn't want to interrupt but Persephone came out of nowhere and stopped me. "Please you have to calm him down!" She pleaded. "Me but you're the one who always calms him down." I replied. "I tried already he wouldn't listen. Please!" She pleaded. "Ok." I replied and turned around.
         Hades was fuming darkness waiting for an answer. "WELL!" He yelled. "Uncle?" I questioned. He turned around still angry but calmer. "Are you ok?" I asked. He looked surprised and then the darkness started to lessen. "I'm fine." He replied. "Uncle don't lie you were fuming darkness." I responded. "Ok fine I'm not but I have a reason." He replied. "I know I heard but don't you think it has to do with the fact Nyx is down there." I responded. He smiled. Wait he smiled? YES I DID IT! "Of course how could I be so stupid. You are dismissed." He said. The scout was surprised Hades was smiling but left.
         "Wow I don't think I've seen him smile for a long time. Good job!" Persephone whispered in my ear. I smiled at her. "Isn't it time for lunch?" I asked. "Oh yes I forgot." He replied. I finished but I waited for Hades and Persephone. I think Hades noticed because he looked confused. "Why are you still here?" He asked trying not to sound rude but for some reason that question always sounds rude. "I have nothing to do." I replied. "Well you could hang out with Persephone since I'm busy." He responded and Persephone and I nodded as he excused himself.
        "Do you want to help me in my garden?" Persephone asked. "Yeah sounds fun!" I replied and we walked over to her garden. "So anyone you like?" She asked while we changing the pattern of the plants. I just blushed and nodded. "It's ok you don't have to tell me." She added and I nodded.
         We were gardening for the whole day. "I think it's sunset." A voice interrupted called Hades interrupted. "Oh no! That means I have to go." I said. Hades frowned and Persephone gave me a hug. "Bye!" I yelled as I disappeared into the shadows.
