"Addy...are you there?"

I opened my eyes. My body had scars all over it and I couldn't move. "I'm here," I croaked as I heard the door open.

"Oh dear. You're all scratched up." Lisey said. She...er he came in front of me. I was so wrong about his gender. He put his hand in my cheek and smiled at me. I suddenly felt a pain in my lower stomach. I looked down to see a sword. Going through me. Lisey smile suddenly turned into a sinister grin. His eyes weren't soft anymore. "You really thought we were friends." He got close to me....he pulled back and walked out when something came and tackled him. It tore him limb from limb as I watched. I silently cried as the thing looked at me and smirked evilly. "Sssshhh" it's long bony hand closed the door as I looked at Lindsey one more time. I weakly grabbed the note Lindsey put behind my ear. The sword turned into a small crystal necklace. I weakly picked the crystal and put it close to my heart as I read what the note said.

"Dearest Addy,

I am sorry for doing this to you but I must. They know that I found out about you. They told me if I attacked you I would die. I wanted to die. I couldn't live like a robot anymore. You asked me my Insanity name. It's the Angel. The small crystal I gave you. It's a weapon. Addy they are going to break you. They are going to hurt you. Please, any chance you get. Get out of there. Love~"

"Lisey...." I said with tears flowing on of my eyes.

I clutched the note in my hands as I got up and fought the pain I was in. I weakly grabbed the bunny pencil pouch and stuffed the note in there. I attempted to heal my body but all it did was make it worse.

Kayden put her eyebrow up as I squeaked. "Tell me ooooor...I'LL TOUCH YOUR WING AGAIN!" I shudder at the thought of her rubbing my wings. "Okay okay. But go get Alex first. I think you both deserve to know." She lets me go and scampers off to find Alex. well, more like prances off because every step has a slight jump like a small fawn.

I took this time to try and change my clothes. I took my shirt off and looked down at the scars on my arms and back. I traced the marks on my neck. It was a big cut from my neck to my chest. It was my suicide attempt. I sighed as I put on another shirt. I looked in the mirror and saw how long my hair grew out. I sighed as I grabbed my mini scissors.

Memories flash through my mind as I cut my hair. I put the scissors down and looked in the mirror. My eyes dilated as I looked at myself. I hated how I look. I walked out to see Alex and Kayden glaring at me. "Explain" I sighed as I started. "I'm not actually a demon. I'm a Mortvita." They looked at me confused as I chuckled dryly. A tear ran down my cheek as I looked away. "I'm like a goddess but worse. I'm a demoness. My mother fell in love with my father who was a Vermana. My demoness side wasn't supposed to show. That was unless I was injected with witch blood. Witch blood breaks the seal that was embedded in me. And when my friend died they forced me to eat him." I shudder at the memory as tears rolled down my face "That's why I have these" I said gesturing to my back. "I will slowly get new stuff but the life and death thing....I can die as many times as I want but I will never truly die. It's a curse. I can't see my family or Lindsey" I said accidentally saying his name. I didn't know this at the time but Kayden was leaning against Alex's shoulder, getting dizzy.

But as I said, I didn't notice. I did notice that her voice sounded hoarse. "Well, that doesn't change anything for me. But can we please get out of here? It's getting stuffy.." I heard her footsteps echo as she walked over to a blank wall. I turned as she opened a doorway outside. I could feel a cool breeze and a field was beyond Kayden. She jerked her chin toward the doorway. Her face was pale. "Come on. The illusion won't last long." She walked through, physically showing the release of tension. Alex and I followed Kayden, the doorway shimmering back into a wall. She was laying in the middle of the field. "I'm sorry... I haven't felt well lately and standing in there didn't make it any better." She closed her eyes. "To be honest, I couldn't care less about what you are. You're still family." Spikes poked out from her arm that was facing me. "Family issues are so complicated. Doesn't it get frustrating?" She opens her eyes again and turns her head to look at me. I chuckled dryly once more as I let my wings spread out. Kayden's eyes widen in amazement. It's surprising how easily she gets intrigued by everything. I smiled slightly as I moved my wings around a bit. She narrows her eyes in concentration and weight appears on my head. Kayden smiles and looks up again, closing her eyes. I take the thing off my head and it's a flower crown. It looks identical to Kayden's but it's red. I put it back on and my slight smile grows. Silence grows around us, until a growl ripples through the air.
