After breakfast me and Vanessa went out for some shopping which she did and some brunch. She talked about something called HUSHERA it was part of Seth's culture. It was a guide on making sure the woman you fall in love with is really there for you. Vanessa says she had to go through it too. I thought it was weird!
" HUSHERA is a book that from traditions of his culture it's been passed on from generations to other generations and now Seth. Its a guideline to know if a girl will be loyal to you. It works like this the real version is locked up somewhere but I know it" She says and takes her phone out.
" He whom has found thou love shall sacrifice in the name of loyalty. Whom shall break the beauties hearts in the name of love. Shall she come thou change mind she shall be hailed as a keeper. You and your thou beloved shall be HUSHERA with the blessing of thee fallen generation forever" She says and look up at me from her phone. She must have written it down.
"I have no idea what you just said, was that English?" I say. She starts to laugh and looks at me again.
"You have no idea how complicated the real one is to read. If I had known this I would have never done the things I did to to husband. Its a stupid rule but all everyone in the family has followed it and his mother corrupts everything. No one is suppose to know about this it's suppose to be faith." She says and holds my hand.
"Wow this is crazy" I say sipping my coffee. A dumb book they had to follow it's insane.
"I actually went to a fortune teller when I was dating my now husband. And he told me that my husband would cheat on me and it would be fake but look real. It did but I knew this was that dumb rule they had to follow because one of the maids told me" She says and I'm just blown away.
"This sounds so fake" I say
"I know I thought the maid was playing with me also but it was all true. I confronted him and told him that all of this was fake he was impressed and now we have been married." She says
"My fortune teller told me that if he cheats again it's going to be real but that's like everyone in the world. Once a cheater always a cheater and because of his mother I don't even think he would think about cheating. It broke him and his family" Vanessa says, I just nod.
"This family is weird" I say and she shakes her head yes.
"Why don't I see your husband in the mansion" I say
"He's always on trips because Seth has sent him to make deals. He's in Africa and Brazil every week it's different. We talk on the phone but he's just super busy" Vanessa says typing something on her phone.
"Do you miss him?" I say.
"Of course" She says. True love was weird, I never real experienced it but it sure had torn families and just people apart. It's a crazy drug you can't get enough of.
"So Seth been talking to this girl Irene. I told him it's a catfish" Vanessa says and shows me a picture of this blonde model.
"She's from south Africa studying here" Vanessa says
"Cool" I say this is awkward.
"He asked me if I liked her and you know what I said" Vanessa says
"What? That she's plastic" I say and Vanessa laughs
"No, I told him your so much better. Your gorgeous and you work with him common interests!" Vanessa says
"You didn't you told him that we should date!" I say surprised.
"Yeah" Vanessa says with a smug.
"Your gross! He's my boss Vanessa lets keep it professional. There's nothing more to it you and Ana watch too many romantic movies. I'm serious he is good looking but I'm just not into him. I don't want to get fired I want to live" I say and she laughs.
"He said, your pretty but like you said you both work together. You guys think so alike it's meant to be" Vanessa says laughing.
"No! I'm good, stop being matchmaker especially with my boss. It's so gross" I say making a throw up face. We left and went home to the mansion it was just in time for dinner.
Seth had made it home too and was talking about work while we all ate dinner. I had grown to appreciate this house and love it. These people were slowly starting to become family the love and appreciation in the air was so positive. I loved this energy.
