If He Only Remembered

Chapter 22

"Natalie you should come inside, it would validate what the doctors are saying" Taylor says and I sigh. I wipe my tears away and manage to fake smile and we walk in the room.

"No I'm fine, no more tests or anything" I hear Seth's voice its raspy and confused. 

"Taylor!" Seth says and his eyes light up the nurses begin to move the chair up.

"So what the hell happen?" Seth says and looks at me and Taylor and I sit on the chair. He definitely does not remember anything that happened or even me. 

"Uh, yeah I don't think we should be talking about this right now, you need to recover." Taylor says.

"No, we should" Seth says sipping his tea.

"Who is she?" Seth says pointing at me.

"Uh, she's the person who saved your life." Taylor says and Seth starts to laugh

"Nice try, I have guards to do that" Seth says still laughing,

"Yeah they killed most of them, hence how they got to you" Taylor says and Seth stops laughing and the room goes dead silent. Seth just stares at me as if he's mad at something or someone.

"Okay, how much do you want?" Seth says looking at me.

"What" I say

"Money, How much do you want? I know all you girls want money and cash it's what makes life exciting. Taylor will write you a check" Seth says pointing at Taylor.

"I don't want anything. I didn't save your life for money it was something much more meaningful and deeper that that. Any amount of Money wouldn't be enough" I say shaking my head in disbelief.

"Lady you make no sense, I have no idea who you are or what you did. I asked Taylor to be present with me, I did ask for your presence. So there's the door" Seth says in a menacing tone. I was taken back, I think Taylor was too. Seth proceeds to point at the exit of the room.

"You don't remember her?" Taylor says looking at me then Seth.

"No, why would I? Listen it was probably we met at a bar I took you home. Listen I do not commit to anyone. Your clearly mistaken for being here I thanked you for saving my life you may leave now. If you want money we can handle it" Seth says putting his head back on the pillow and looking at the ceiling.

"Taylor why are you so surprised I don't know who this chick is? What is she my girlfriend? You know I don't do those things. Let it go! You may go miss, I don't want to see you. " Seth says 

"Seth she lives with us, you... just forget it now is not the time. She's best friends with Vanessa and good friends with me she lives with us she pays rent." Taylor says confused

"Listen Taylor I don't remember myself giving this girl permission to stay in my house. Hell I don't know who she is! I don't care if she pays rent or who's she's friends with I'm not letting a stranger in my house" Seth says

"Seth the problem is you don't remember your short term memory you met her in this past year and because of the trauma that happened you lost your memory." Taylor says trying to explain himself

"I SAID LEAVE YOU STUPID GIRL!" Seth yells and I Jump. I quickly get up and run towards the exit this is so humiliating. 

"SETH! what is wrong with you. You can't just yell at people like that. Only if you knew who she was"  That was the last thing I heard as I left the room. 

As I leave I see Vanessa talking to James. 

"Its obvious, I'm done and you clearly moved on; we need a divorce" Vanessa says tapping her foot.
