If He Only Remembered

Chapter 31

After the cleaning up in the bathroom I walk inside the room and heard the doctor talking. 

"So, I truly think it was a miracle of prayers, it's like nothing ever happened to Seth's brain. Physically yes his body is weak and it will be a slow recovery but the thankful part is all his major vital organs are in great shape." The doctor says and you could hear a sigh of relief in the room.

"Seth if you listen to me Ms. Natalie Claire here is a keeper kid." The doctor says and Seth smiles.

"I don't plan on letting her ago anytime soon" Seth says eating a cough drop.

"So when can he be discharged" Vanessa says

"In three days or a week depends" Doctor says and nods leaving us with our thoughts. We all talk about random things and just express how thankful we are that Seth is back and alive. 

The whole night I stayed with Seth and we just stared in each others eyes smiling and talking about the things Seth remembers now. He remembered everything, when we met and how we met it was heart-warming. 

The rest of the people had reserved a motel close by, we would switch places in the morning so I can get some sleep. But to me sleep is just an excuse not to be near Seth, not to see his smile or his beautiful green eyes.

It had been three days and Seth was slowly making progress, at night I would take the shifts and accompany him while in the morning Vanessa or Taylor would come and chat. I would take a break and eat in the motel room. 

"Well.... I am so happy that Seth is back in shape. I know the timing isn't right but I just want to tell you that I am embarrassed at what I said when he lost his memory. You two are meant to be together and I do not want to come in between that. I also don't want this to be awkward or the guy that liked you situation." Luca says eating McDonald's fries while I eat the chicken nuggets. 

"Luca your a great guy I had feelings for you but they were nothing more than a friendship. I promise you when you find the one it will feel so right on both sides. You were brave and honest when you told me, always stay true to that Luca. Your an amazing man and anyone would be lucky to have you." I say wiping my hands on the napkin and walk sitting besides him.

"I know it was just friendship and I think I just wanted to explore new relationships. I'm glad we settled this it was lingering in the back of my mind for a while" Luca says and holds my hand. It was the friendly type like thank you for understanding.

"You know there is Vanessa you can possibly date or look into? Oh and how about Seth's ex-girlfriend that South African model" I say and we both laugh

"Vanessa is better with Taylor.  When they look at each other it's like love but they heal each other because of the heartbreak they both went through I'm telling you they like each other. But come on obviously they wouldn't date or advance towards that because they came out of brutal long-term relationships and because Seth is recovering" Luca says 

"Your joking they don't like each other, there just friends" I say and shake my head.

"Make your move Luca before Taylor does" I say laughing.

"Haha, I am not the type stealing someone's girl" Luca says and I just laugh.

"I have to ask her about Taylor then. Vanessa would have told me if it was like that" I say shaking my head.

"You should I am going head out to the hospital and get some food" Luca says and I nod smiling. I leave after a couple minutes also and go to the flower shop. I buy get well soon balloons and a teddy bear.
