If He Only Remembered

Chapter 24

I had no idea what was going to happen to me, they had tied me up and I was being taken to the nearest police station and I was having an anxiety attack. The last time I was at the police station was with Seth and I knew he would take care of everything. The police officer kept looking back at me and it was making me go even crazier like I had done something so bad.

"You're in big trouble Ms. Claire," The officer says and I'm literally going to throw up the tension in the air was so much I could hardly breathe. 

"What do you mean, I promise I didn't do anything wrong," I say 

"Detective Sean is our best newly hired detective, he has some questions he wants to ask you," The officer says and the rest of the ride is silent. 

It wasn't long when we arrived at the police station. It was the same as I had last been here and the detective Sean greeted us at the door.

"I'll take it from here, thank you, officer Steven," Sean says and we go into a different interrogation room and he unlocks my chains on my arm and places it on the desk. There are different files on his desk with my name on them. 

"How are you Ms. Claire, may I call you Natalie," Sean says 

"Yeah," I say in a hoarse voice. 

"Good, my name is detective Sean you may call me Sean. I was assigned to your case any questions" He says and I shake my head no.

"You see I need verbal answers your being recorded, so was that a yes or no," Sean says

"It was a No," I say 

"Good, I have been reading your file and you were here a while back correct?" Sean says

"Correct," I say 

"I'm sorry where are my manners, your voice is hoarse would like some water," Sean says 

"No, I'm fine," I say

"We are just going to verify some identity," Sean says and hand me a piece of paper and a pen I fill it out. It's just a paper asking about my birthday, age and just background in general when I'm done I handed it to him. He looks over it with his file and shakes his head in approval.

"Very good, everything matches just about right, do you have your ID on you," Sean says

"No" I reply

"Of course you don't the officers just raided the party you were at," Sean says and laughs. I feel really uneasy, I start to sense this isn't about me fighting that girl its something more.

"Okay, so I'll get to the point, your parents are in prison no surprise there right," Sean says 

"Wait for what," I say 

"That's the reaction I needed, they were doing business illegally but you already know that," Sean says

"No, I didn't," I say

"CUT THE ACT NATALIE," Sean says and slams the file on the desk

"Your parents said you were involved, they even said you attempted to kill your own sister and tried to attack Seth Rutherford and oh there's more, you attempted to kill Taylor our officer. So come clean or be behind bars for the rest of your life" Sean says and I'm in shock. But then it clicks.

"I didn't do any of those, my parents are twisted they got caught for there business and they wanted to bring me down and just used everything that went wrong in my life against me," I say 

"Wow, what a show Natalie, I would say I feel bad for you but we actually have witnesses. Let's see Farina, Lilly, Ana your own sister, Scarlett, your parents, and we just got Seth's interrogation and he said he has no memory so his testimony goes out the door." Sean says
