Eleanor didn't go downstairs to eat her breakfeast before getting ready like she usually does. She wasn't even considering eating anything, she was still feeling sick from last night. She was getting out of her second shower – after last night's – when her phone started ringing.

It was Jughead. And Ellie figured that if she didn't answer it, he would never stop.

"Hey."

"Hey. Thank god, you didn't answer my calls or texts last night."

"It sucks, doesn't it?" She was bitter than usually, and it surprised him. "Now you know how it felt like when you did it to me the other night. Look, I can't talk right –."

"Wait, I'm sorry, Ellie." Jughead really was. "You were right, I was being a coward. We should talk about everything. Get it off our chests."

"I did, last night." Eleanor told him. "I said everything I wanted to, right before you slept with Betty, remember? So I think we're fine."

"Why are you sounding so jealous?" He got tired of hearing her talking like that.

"I'm not." She swallowed. "I'm just tired, I have to go."

Ellie didn't wait for him to say anything and ended the call, slamming her phone against her desk after. She could feel her blood boiling, she wasn't mad at Jughead or at least she didn't want to be. But everything was too much, and he was right there for her to unleash her anger. Ellie knew it wasn't fair, but she couldn't help it.

Eleanor took a deep breath before getting dressed, and just then did she go downstairs. As she was about to turn the corner to the kitchen, someone knocked on the door. She watched as her sister dropped her cereal bowl on the floor, and suddenly Ellie knew she wasn't the only one who was on edge, Betty was too.

"I'll go." Eleanor warned.

She walked up to the door, slowly. She knew everyone was watching her carefully, they were all afraid it was the police. And she was too. Eleanor grabbed the door's handle for a whole second before gathering the courage to turn it and open the front door.

Ellie, unlike everyone else inside the house, didn't sigh in relief. "Jughead."

"Hey." He awkwardly greeted her. "I didn't like how we left it at the phone."

"Betty." Eleanor called her sister. "Jug wants to walk you to school."

"Ellie." Jughead tried. "Don't do that."

"Hey." Betty approached them with a small smile. "Sure. I just have to get dressed."

Ellie closed the door, when Jughead got in as Betty walked back upstairs to get ready.

"Do you want to eat something?" Alice asked, nicely.

"No, thanks, Mrs. Cooper."

Eleanor reached for her bag still where she left it, next to the front door, and grabbed it.

"Where are you going?" Her Mom called out for her. "You didn't eat anything, Eleanor."

"I'm not really hungry." She told her. "I'm gonna go to school."

"Ellie." Jughead approached her, which allowed them some privacy. "I hate being like this with you, ok? You and I figure things out together, right?"

"Do we?"

"You said it yourself last night, you didn't want to lose me." He stepped closer. "Come on, it was like five years ago. We moved past it, we both did."
