Claire's POV
Careful, it laughed in my head, as the wooden stick hit my back after I fell on the floor. Again.
Up with you, demanded the voice in my head.
I was so exhausted from the hours of training.
Up with you, it said again.
"I want a break" I coughed.
I know, Rel's voice chuckled in my head. But your not ready yet. Look what we've done today.
So what we did was
One: letting me run around the whole temple complex ten times
Two: train my muscles for what felt like an eternity
Three: letting me run again.Fine, enough for first. But you go meditating now. Understand?, he said in my head.
Damn, and I thought Rel was weak. His slaps with the stick hurt on my back as I came up to my feet.
The happenings of the last night were still in my bones but I distracted myself pretty well so far. At least in my opinion.
Rel couldn't speak or hear. Pretty bad, if you ask me. But he can do something so stunning that the ability of speaking was so unimportant like a falling leaf.
Through endless days in deep trance and prayer to their god he learned to let his voice appear in others heads.
It scared the shit out of me the first time.
I have hid my face in my hands and cried. It has remembered me at them, when they had invaded in my head.
But I was fine now. I cried so much in the last time... Too much actually.
'The angle' was a kind of church, praying to a god of innocence and purity. The trees with the white and pink blossoms were their symbol.
I bowed my head slightly in front of Rel and made my way over to the great hall, where the council has taken place.
The pillows weren't there anymore. They were replaced by even thicker carpets.
I took off my shoes and sat down in the middle of the hall. After a few more breaths I closed my eyes and started to try to think of nothing.
I started to concentrate on my breath... Like always when I didn't know what to do.
Some more minutes went by as I started freezing and the thoughts I tried to avoid at all came back.
It doesn't work.
Very funny, it answered.
Just shut up, I m trying to concentrate, I hissed.
You know, you can't anyways, it chuckled.
Annoyed I opened my eyes again. There's no sense in this. The sun is setting anyways.
Tired as hell I walked over to my room and fell asleep as my back hit the bed.
*****
"Claire? Oh my god your back. Come here, love" Ana shouted.I looked around and saw her. She was dressed in white nearly transparent satin. Hell... Nobody was here, so why not?
I went over to her and stop an arm length away from her. Suddenly I felt very hot. The temperature increased dramatically. I started breathing heavier.
Ana made the few last steps over to me. She was now so near that her breath floated over my skin.
Mint and sugar, my brain told me.
