Claire's POV
In the beginning there was nothing. The sound of nothing was deafening.
I was lying on the ground. I tried to analyse more but without real success. No real points which could give me any information.
Some moments longer I thought. Just some more seconds.
One.
Two.
Three.
Four.
... Sixty.
Sixty one."Hello?" Soft and careful, the voice reached my ear. I looked around. Darkness, as far as I could look.
"Is there anybody? Please..." A little bit of fear got into the sound.
"Yes, over here." My throat was sore and my voice raspy.
Silence and again nothing.
For awhile I existed in darkness without hearing or seeing anything."Who are you?"
Silence.
"I don't really know, you?"
"I am Ana. But before I got here they told me I'm Love. Don't even know what this is. They also said this universe would need me and that I'd meet creatures like me. And -", Short break, "I'm talking too much, aren't I?" Now it she shut up.Interesting. Love. What's that?
"Ana?" I asked.
"Yes?"
"Who are 'they'?"
"It's actually pretty funny. I don't know either." She laughed. Clear and full of life and light. I could have never imagined something like that.
She went on: "They just told me what I explained to you and then they were gone.""Oh" was everything I could say. This was interesting. New thoughts flashed through my brain, causing lightning and thunders.
What if we weren't alone?
What if there were other creatures in here?
What if they are listening and what if they are watching us?
What if they know what's going on?My breath quickened. I knew I had to calm down. If they wanted to harm us they would have done that already.
I already thought of us."Are you okay?" I heard Ana asking. She seemed worried.
"Yea, of course." My voice breaking. I knew she notice."I don't know what to do.." she cried helpless.
Me neither, I thought but didn't say it. Because of my intuition I tried something new: "Ana? Can we try something? Maybe it helps."
There was a "mhm" but nothing more.
"Okay. We tried to reach each other. I don't really know where you are but maybe it will work.""Yea"
I moved forward. More or less and suddenly I felt something touching my fingertips.
"Ana?"
"Yea, it's me."
Her grip went firmer. Little sparks flew off from our hands and lightened Ana's face.
Her brown long curls fell down to her thighs. Blue-green eyes looked up at me, building a contrast to her warm bronze skin and warm lips formed a smile.
She was beautiful. Everyone who saw her would say the same.I noticed I stared at her and quickly started scanning my surrounding.
The sparks didn't spend much light but I saw stone under us. And a few centimeters away also life. A tiny white flower was blooming. I smiled."Claire."
"What? What did you just say?" I looked at her. Puzzled.
"Since you need a name I can give you one till you decide for one yourself." She looked at me and smiled back.
I noticed that our hands were still intertwined, so I pulled back carefully. But she held on.
"Thank you, Ana."
Her smiled went brighter and also the sparks turned into a fire, burning around our hands without hurting us.
She started to climb back onto her feet, pulling me with her."Let's look around."
Holding hands we went a few steps. I saw trees and a few flowers.
"Claire?"
"Yes?"
"I wanna try something too. May I?" She asked shyly.
"Of course. As long as you won't hurt me."
"I'd never." And I believed her.
