day 1-continued
it was an entire wall that was covered in pictures of previously graduated classes. ryan and i looked at the most recent one, it saying, "ttd graduating class 156: 9/11-10/11/2018."
"a week ago was the last graduation? wow."
"let's look for jack," i added, ryan agreeing as we scanned the pictures for his picture.
"found him!" ryan announced loudly as he beckoned me to come to him. i was about four picture frames over, looking at classes from late 2015.
"ttd graduating class 139: 2/04-3/04/2015," i read aloud. "ew."
jack looked mainly the same, except that he had a dark emo haircut then and has it brushed up and platinum blonde now.
"wait—is that who i think it is?" ryan said with a hint of disgust in his voice from the obviously overwhelming surprise.
he pointed at an extremely familiar face and i gasped quietly as i read the name.
alexander travis.
"dude, why am i not even that shocked," i whispered, first making sure jack and/or alex weren't secretly watching and shooting us dirty looks from afar.
"my gaydar went off on him the moment i walked in. jack, too."
"well, let's get going before we get in some mega trouble. if any of the staff finds us in here, we'll probably be dead."
"good idea, bren."
we shut the lights off, walked out of the room, and shut the door quickly. i was not risking getting in any trouble; it uses too much energy to fight my way out of it.
luckily, there were no staff members around. we walked out of the building and outside, where we saw sarah and meagan sitting on a tree stump and talking.
"i don't know, i just think she's going to break up with me because of this stupid camp. i even told her i'll still be me when i come back in four weeks, but she won't listen!" ryan and i overheard sarah say worryingly.
"don't worry, girl, it'll be okay," meagan said before wrapping her arms around sarah.
"hey, is everything alright?" ryan asked, walking over to the two girls. i slowly followed behind him to see if they wanted to be bothered or not.
"i don't even know anymore. i think linda wants to break up with me because of this FUCKING CAMP!"
"shh, sar, you don't want marilee, alex or jack to hear you."
"oh yeah, thanks meg, sorry. anyways, she keeps leaving me on read when i text her and is being really distant. what should i do?"
" i think you should just let her be for a bit and see what she does. if she doesn't think you're going to be you when you get back, it's her loss."
"thanks, ryan. i appreciate it a lot," said sarah, her then sighing in a tone of relief.
"no problem. wanna go into the dining hall for dinner? the staff will be calling for the rest of the class any second," i suggested.
"yeah, sure. let's go," meagan replied, the four of us then walking into the main hall and into the dining area.
