Chapter 44: Drunk

Chapter 44: Drunk
 
The rebellions attacked one of the nursery schools in Laeves kingdom where the children have a healing ability. They are now getting desperate and it was becoming bad kaya naman mas lalong humigpit ang seguridad ng bawat palasyo, kahit na ang akademya. We learned that the rebellions purposely kidnapped one of the princesses of Laeves kingdom because they thought that she can resurrect a dead person but in fact, her healing ability was only unlimited.
 
But then, I suddenly remembered Arang. I actually called Zephyr but he was the one who appeared and he told me that I needed him more than Zephyr, especially, when the princes are poisoned. It became one of the rebellions’ inventions and Arang told me that it was dangerous.
 
We have to look for an antidote for that poison immediately that’s why I have to talk to Mimi as soon as possible. Though we went to her office for us to report our mission and we’re with the king and queen of the Laeves kingdom.
 
I was actually nervous because the princes just saw Arang and I know that they are now having speculations and I owe Aiden that one dahil nagawa niyang ilihis ang usapan kanina—when one of the princes almost said that they saw Arang.
 
Hindi ko nga alam kung bakit hindi ko pa masabi-sabing ako ang summoner ng lahat ng hinihintay nilang guardians—I am being hesitant and there is something that stopping me from telling them about it. But I guess, Aiden can feel my hesitation that’s why he saved me earlier.
 
But I am still determined to avoid him…
 
Kagigising ko lang dahil bigla akong nauhaw. Nang tignan ko ang oras ay nakita kong 2 AM pa lang ng madaling-araw. Napahinga ako ng malalim bago umalis sa higaan ko at tinignan sa crib si Caelum na mahimbing na natutulog kaya napangiti naman ako.
 
Hinalikan ko siya sa kaniyang nuo bago lumabas at pumunta sa kusina. Nagdire-diretso lang ako habang papungas-pungas pa ng mata. The light was only dim and the dorm was too quiet. Nang makarating ako sa kusina ay kumuha ako ng tubig na malamig at uminom.
 
Ngunit maya-maya pa ay nakarinig naman ako ng kidlat kaya dali-dali akong pumunta sa veranda pero napatigil ako ng makita ang isang imortal na nakatalikod sa akin habang ang kamay niya ay nakahawak sa railings at pinagmamasdan ang kidlat sa labas.

“Did I wake you up…?” He suddenly asked dahilan ng magulat ako. Hindi na nakapagtataka kung maramdaman niya ang presensya ko.
 
As long as I wanted to go back to my room, I just can’t move my feet. Tila natulos ako sa kinatatayuan at nagtatalo ang aking loob. Half of me wants to leave the veranda but half of me doesn’t. I’m mess. Lumingon siya sa akin dahilan ng pagkabilis ng tibok puso ko.
 
Nasisinagan ang mukha niya ng liwanag ng buwan kaya kitang-kita ko kung gaano kagulo ang buhok niya—ay hindi, lagi namang ganiyan ang buhok niya, eh. Nag-iwas ako ng tingin dahil parang nahi-hipnotismo ako sa klase ng titig niya.
 
“I’m… I’m going…” mahina kong wika at mabilis na tumalikod sa kaniya ngunit bago pa ako makahakbang ay naramdaman ko na lamang ang pagsandal niya sa akin sa pader. We’re still on the veranda and I can now feel the cold breeze.
 
“You’re not going anywhere anymore…” his voice was hoarse and I can even smell liquor from his breath and when I look into his eyes, nakumpirama kong lasing siya.
 
Ang mapupungay niyang mga mata na nakatingin sa akin and there’s something in their depths which sent my system into turmoil. He then gently caress my cheek before he rests his forehead against mine and I just can’t help closing my eyes upon feeling his warmth again.
 
I miss this…
 
His one hand was still gently caressing my left cheek while the other one sneaked on my waist. I have to leave now. Baka maging marupok na naman ako kaya naman umangat ang mga kamay ko at tinulak siya palayo sa akin ngunit hindi siya nagpatinag. Instead, he hug me tightly before he buried his face on the hallow of my neck that’s why I sucked my breathe.
 
“Aiden…”
 
“Don’t… just please…” his voice was begging and my chest just tightened. He pushed me closer to his body and I just gave up.
 
I badly wanted to avoid him but I guess, hindi ko kaya kahit na ano pang gawin ko. My body was aching for him… I wanted to feel his warm again and now I can feel his warmth, I just felt better again. Ngayon ay nakumpirma ko na nga ang isang bagay at kahit anong gawin ko ay hinding-hindi ko na ‘yon matatakasan, even him… we stayed like that and I am stopping myself from hugging him back. My mind is in turmoil and I came up with the decision of avoiding him but I will never able to runaway from him…
 
Naramdaman kong malalong humigpit ang kaniyang yakap sa akin na tila ayaw niya akong mawala hanggang sa maramdaman kong tila basa na ang aking balikat kaya napakurap-kurap ako. “Aiden…” I called him because he’s crying for deities’ sake!
 
Mas lalo pa niyang inilapit ang kaniyang katawan sa akin until I heard his voice. “I’m scared…” his voice was low but it was trembling. I sensed fear from him and I think, I already know why.
 
Kung kanina ay pinipigilan ko ang sarili kong yakapin siya, ngayon naman ay mahigpit na ang yakap ko sa kaniya. I gently caressed his back before kissing his neck. “I’m here… I won’t go anywhere,” I was trying to make him stop from crying and I just felt him moved and face me.
 
Nakita ko naman ang kaniyang mukhang punong-puno ng emosyon ngunit nangibabaw ang takot sa kaniya. “Don’t leave me, baby… I’m sorry… I’m sorry…” he rest his forehead against mine again while he’s still crying. Hindi ko naman kayang nakikita siyang ganito and I know that even he was drunk, alam niya pa rin ang kaniyang ginagawa.
 
“Prince of fire…”
 
“I’m sorry for hurting you… that lady is just nothing, baby… I didn’t m-mean to kiss h-her… it was h-her who initiated the k-kiss but I s-swear, I push her i-immediately… baby, forgive me, please…” I didn’t expect him to explain and he’s even explaining while shedding tears.
 
I cop his cheeks and made him look at me which he did. His eyes were asking forgiveness and I can see that he was ready to kneel in front of me para lang patawarin siya but I am not that heartless. “Aiden, stop crying…” I told him but he only shake his head.
 
“Forgive m-me, baby…”
 
Napabuntong-hininga na lamang ako bago napatingin sa kaniyang mapupulang labi at binalik ang tingin sa kaniyang mga mata. He’s drunk… “You should rest…” I said but he’s stubborn and for the first time—I think?—I used teleportation and I was hoping that the consequence that I will receive later wasn’t that severe.
 
I teleported where his room was—pati na rin kung na saan ang aking silid ngunit tinungo ko ang silid ng prinsepeng nakakapit sa akin ngayon na tila ayaw akong umalis sa kaniyang tabi. For the first time, I entered his room at gusto ko na lamang sumimangot ng makita ko ang kulay nito.
 
Plain gray and white ngunit malinis at maayos. Malinis pala ang lalaki na ‘to… I walk towards where his bed was—a king size bed na itim ang bedsheet. I pushed him in his bed ngunit nakalimutan kong para siyang ahas na nakapulupot sa akin kaya naisama ako.
 
Na sa ibabaw niya ako and he even buried his face on my neck kaya napabuntong-hininga na lamang ako. “Umayos ka…” saad ko ngunit nakapaka-tigas ng ulo that’s why I have no choice but to remove his hands on my body. Ayaw niya pa ng una ngunit binantaan ko siyang iiwan ko siya oras na hindi niya ako bitawan. Buti na lamang at nakinig siya sa akin.
 
I know it was bad to blackmail someone just to get what I want but if I didn’t do that, talagang wala siyang kabalak-balak na bitawan ako. Inutusan ko siyang umayos na mabilis naman niyang ginawa. Nakikita kong madami siyang nainom na alak at unti-unti ng ume-epekto ‘yon sa kaniya but he’s still doing his best to stay awake.
 
Mabilis naman akong kumuha ng pamalit niya—I just pick a white t-shirt and cargo short before I pick a clean towel. Lumabas naman ako sa walk-in closet niya at nadatnan ko na lamang na naka-upo siya sa kaniyang higaan and I just wanted to smack his head.
 
Tigas ng ulo naman ng prinsepe na ‘to!
 
“Aiden Axel Smith, lay down on your bed!” Matigas kong wika na kaagad naman niyang ginawa. I walk towards him and I just found him pouting adorably and I can’t help but chuckle silently. “Hindi ‘yan gagana sa akin,” wika ko na mas lalo naman niyang ikinanguso habang nakatingin pa rin sa akin. “No, Axel. You stay in your bed while you will wait for me,” parang bata ang kausap ko kaya napailing na lamang ako.
 
Mabilis na lamang akong nag-teleport sa labas at kumuha ng planggana at nilagyan ng malinis na tubig before I came back to the prince of fire’s room. Hindi na talaga ako magtataka kung ipatawag na lamang ako ni Mimi o ni headmaster dahil sa kagagamit ko ng teleportation.
 
Kung ikaw ba naman ilagay sa pinaka-taas na floor, eh.
 
Aiden stayed in his bed and he’s already sleepy. Nilapag ko naman sa side table niya na katabi ng kaniyang higaan ang dala ko bago ko hinubad ang kaniyang damit pang-itaas. I know he’s half awake and was looking at me but it didn’t bother me.
 
I am having a feast with his beautiful body but I have to move now. Tinanggal ko na rin ang kaniyang pantalon but before that, pinatong ko muna ang kumot sa kalahati ng kaniyang katawan bago hinubad ang kaniyang pang-ibabang damit before I started cleaning his body.
 
I didn’t expect this day will come…
 
Binasa ko ang bimpo bago pinunasan ang kaniyang katawan and I don’t know now if he’s already sleeping. Basta nagpatuloy na lamang ako sa ginagawa hanggang sa matapos ako. Binihisan ko muna siya bago inayos ang kaniyang kumot at akmang itatapon na ang tubig sa kaniyang CR ng naramdaman ko na lamang na mayroong humila sa akin pahiga.
 
I almost shrieked because of surprise because of the sudden move. Buti na lang din at hindi ko pa nahahawakan ang planggana dahil kung hindi ay baka pareho na kaming naligo ngayon. “Aiden Axel!” Hindi ko mapigilang singhal ngunit mas isiniksik lamang niya ang kaniyang katawan sa akin.
 
Ano ba namang lasing na ‘to!
 
Bumuntong-hininga na lamang ako, lalo naman ng maramdaman ko kung gaano kahigpit ang kaniyang yakap sa akin kaya naman wala na akong nagawa pa kung ‘di ang umayos ng higa. Humarap ako sa kaniya at ginawa naman niyang unan ang braso ko bago muling ibinaon ang mukha sa aking leeg.
 
A sigh of contentment left his mouth before I comb his hair softly. Dinagan pa niya ang kaniyang isang paa sa akin at mas lalo pa akong inilapit sa kaniya. Hinayaan ko na lamang siya hanggang sa maglakbay ang isipan ko kung saan-saan habang pinatutulog siya.
 
The prince of fire and I are… mates.

Nandito ako ngayon sa kwarto at binibihisan si Caelum dahil balak ko siyang ipasyal ngayon. Nakabihis na din ako para kapag tapos ko na siyang bihisan ay aalis na lang kami. Binuhat ko na siya at bubuksan ko na sana ang pinto ng may maalala ako bigla ngunit iniling ko ang ulo ko at tuluyan ng lumabas.
 
Ngunit pagkalabas ko pa lang ay sakto naman ang paglabas ni Aiden sa kwarto niya. Ramdam ko naman ang bilis ng tibok ng puso ko kaya napabuntong-hininga na lamang ako. Nagtama ang mga mata namin pero agad din ako umiwas dahil naalala ko ang nangyari kaninang madaling araw.
 
Should I advise him not to get drunk?
 
Hindi ko na lang siya pinansin pa at nagtuloy-tuloy na lang sa paglalakad at dahil sa pagmamadali ay nakarating kami kaagad sa second floor. I wanted to escape from him—not because I wanted to avoid him again but because I am shy to face him right now. Ngunit ng akala kong nakaligtas na ako sa kaniya ay nagkamali ako dahil narinig ko na lamang ang boses ni Aiden na nagpagulat sa akin.
 
“My Hope…” dahil sa gulat ay namali ang hakbang ko and we are about to fall kaya naman hinawakan ko ng mahigpit si Caelum at ipinikit ang mga mata. Pero ilang saglit pa ng maramdaman kong mayroon biglang pumulupot sa bewang ko at kasunod no’n ay ang kaniyang galit na boses. “What the fuck, Hope?! Are you trying to hurt yourself and Caelum?!” Galit na bulyaw nito sa akin na ikinakapit naman sa akin ni Caelum dahil sa takot sa kaniya.
 
Hindi ako nakasagot at nanatiling nakaiwas ang tingin sa galit niyang mga mata and I have no plan on looking back at him because of I was still shocked. Did I just almost hurt my son? Ramdam kong huminga siya ng malalim na parang pinakakalma ang sarili.
 
Bigla ko namang naramdaman na hinawakan niya ang baba ko at sapilitang pinaharap sa kaniya, but I did not try to look into his eyes. Hindi ako makatingin sa kaniya dahil tama naman siya… I just almost hurt my son dahil sa pagmamadali ko.
 
“My Hope, look at me,” he plead. Mas lalo pa niya akong pinaharap and I can also feel that his hand is cold. Kaya bumuntong-hininga ako at wala na akong nagawa pa at tinignan na lang din siya. “I’m sorry for shouting at you… I was just worried,” his voice was now gentle and he’s sincere kaya hindi ko mapigilang ngumuso habang nakatingin sa kaniya and I just saw his smile—he was stopping himself from smiling and he just suddenly hugged me before kissing Caelum’s cheeks before my forehead.
 
“Good morning, my family…”

Aiden Axel Smith
 
My father was bothering me again about having dinner with Council Lambert’s daughter. It’s not that he wants me to that old man’s daughter but because that old man was too persistent to push his daughter for me.
 
Fuck them all.
 
I only have one lady in my mind and that’s my Hope and as long as I don’t want to have dinner with their annoying family, I have no choice. Though, father promised me that it will be going to be last and it will never happen again and father was keeping his promises.
 
I still can remember their family before—when I took care of their youngest daughter—Helena—and I just wanted to destroy their household but I can see how the little girl loves his family so dearly that’s why I stopped myself.
 
But then, that’s also when her sister saw me and fucking tried her best to get my attention but she wasn’t worthy of my attention. My attention is only for my Hope. She even seduces me but fuck herself! She wasn’t my mate! She wasn’t the one who’s destined for me! She wasn’t my Hope and she will never be!
 
But then, I didn’t expect that bitch will kiss me—no, her lips just touched mine a little but I know that it will still hurt my beloved. I was panicking when that happened and it was a good thing that I have fast reflexes and my flame almost burn her if I didn’t just control it.
 
Even I badly want to burn her, she’s still a lady but once she did that again, I won’t see her as one anymore and she will end up being ash. When I went back to Alphas’ dorm and I didn’t find my Hope, I started to panic until Clara told me where she was.
 
She was in Council Lambert’s house.
 
I wanted to scold myself for not knowing about that. I went to their house and I just wanted to push the lady away from me when she hugged me and I just saw the emotion in her eyes… mix-emotions which feared me.
 
I don’t want to go to their house anymore but I have to fetch my beloved and I succeeded, but her silence was scaring me until we reached the dorm and when she entered her room, I just felt her pain and I was worried sick! Damn it! I wanted to enter her room but something was stopping me—there was a force that was stopping me until her room’s door opened and when I thought that it was her, I was just wrong.
 
Because the person who welcomed me was none other than a different lady that I know wasn’t an immortal. “You already know what to do, prince,” she said before giving me the way.
 
I was too worried for my beloved to even care about her presence, about her whole being. I entered my beloved’s room and I just saw my Hope clutching her chest while gasping for air. Pain was visible in her face and I just wanted to hurt myself for hurting my beloved.
 
I can feel her pain but it wasn’t as painful as what she was feeling right now that’s why I didn’t waste any time anymore—my lips touched hers. The lips that I was aching to kiss since I saw her but I was just holding myself back but right now, I couldn’t hold myself again and I am afraid that I won’t be able to stop and control myself anymore.
 
Her lips are fucking addicting…
 
The next morning, I know that she was avoiding me and I was beyond hurt. I wanted to get near her but she was avoiding me that’s why I just let her even though I was aching to put her in my arms again. All I can do right now is to look at her from afar but I can no longer endure it—her, avoiding me.
 
It was painful but I know that it was my fault. That’s why after our mission, I drank liquor while they are already sleeping peacefully. I know I am drunk but I still know what I am doing and I didn’t expect her to be awake at this time but due to the liquor that I drank, I just couldn’t control myself anymore and put her in my arms.
 
I wanted to ask for forgiveness and I know that she wanted to leave me on the veranda but I didn’t let her. But then, I didn’t expect her again to take care of me. She changed my clothes and even I was half-awake, my memories are still vivid.
 
She took care of me…
 
She took care of me and I can’t stop myself but feel happy. Especially, when she lay down beside me and just let me sleep beside her and the happiness that I am feeling right now was overflowing—overwhelming and I can’t help myself but ache for her warmth again.
 
But then, when I woke up the next morning, she wasn’t beside me anymore.
