eleven ☆ couldn't sleep

jonah's pov:

for some reason, i couldn't sleep. i was up late thinking about brooke. i don't know if she's mad at me, or not.

after a few hours of sleep, i knocked on brooke's door.

"come in," she declared.

i turned the doorknob, and it revealed brooke doing her summer reading.

"i just wanted to apologize about what happened yesterday. you know, with lia, and stuff," i said.

"jonah, it's perfectly fine. i just was confused why you never told me about her," brooke said, not even looking up at me.

"well, lia and i aren't even dating. we just kind of had a thing a few months ago, but we were never official," i explained.

"oh, okay," brooke sighed.

"but, i just wanted to clear things up. so, we're cool, right?" i asked.

"yeah, it's all fine. we're nothing more than friends, so it's not my right to be upset. not that i'm implying that i'm upset, because i'm not," brooke declared.

i nodded my head, and walked out of her room.

wow, that was pretty awkward.
