fifteen ☆ she makes him happy

narrator's pov:

the next day, brooke mostly stayed in her room. daniel checked on her every so often.

in the evening, brooke finally decided to head downstairs. she sat next to jonah on the couch.

"where's everybody else?" brooke asked.

"they all went to chipotle," jonah replied.

"you didn't go?" brooke interrogated.

"no, i didn't want to leave you by yourself," jonah explained.

"aw, that's so nice of you, but i would've been fine by myself," brooke mentioned.

then, the door opened, and all of the boys came back inside the house. they all greeted brooke with hugs.

"hey, are you okay?" daniel whispered.

"yeah, i'm good, dani," brooke replied, giving her brother another hug.

"okay, good, i'm glad you're fine," daniel remarked.

corbyn and jack headed to the pool deck, while zach and daniel went up to their rooms. jonah and brooke stayed on the couch.

"you know, we never finished the remainder of the harry potter movies," jonah hinted.

"oh my gosh, you're right! we have to finish them tonight!" brooke declared.

"i'll set up the movies, you get the snacks," jonah said, running up to his room.

brooke took out some candy, but couldn't find any popcorn.

"corbyn, jack, have you guys seen the popcorn?" brooke asked, opening the door to the backyard.

"oh, i forgot to tell you, but i ate the last package. whoops," jack chuckled.

brooke rolled her eyes, and went back in the house.

"where's the snacks?" jonah asked.

"uh, duh, i'm right here!" brooke said sarcastically.

jonah chuckled, "okay, that was funny, but seriously, where's the food?"

"jack just told me he ate the last package of popcorn," brooke said.

"well, we can't binge-watch the movies without popcorn. i'll head to the quickchek really fast," jonah declared, grabbing his car keys.

he headed out the door.

a few minutes after jonah left, the doorbell rang.

doesn't jonah have a key?, brooke thought.

regardless, she opened the door, and saw a familiar face.

it was lia.

"oh, lia, what are you doing here?" brooke asked.

"um, what are you doing here?" lia snapped.

"i live here," brooke replied.

"oh, okay then. i came to visit my jojo bear," lia remarked.

brooke almost gagged at what she said, "jonah's not here right now, but i guess he'll be back soon. he went out to buy popcorn."

"okay," lia said, taking a seat on the couch.

brooke sighed, "i'll be right back, i just have to get something in my room."

brooke went up to her room, grabbed her phone, and called jonah.
