Lylah
The whole place was a mess. There were books and papers strewn every where. The chair near the table was knocked over and the sofa cushions were thrown on the floor.
It looked like someone broke in.
I looked further into the room, hearing faint noises coming from down the hall. Why am I here? I groaned to myself as I stepped over what seemed to be a lacy... thong? I wanna go home already. I thought to myself.
I was supposed to pick up my cousin, Sofia, for our girls day out. But instead, I stumbled on to a crime scene it appears. She is so gonna owe me for this. I mentally rolled my eyes as I cast my eyes over the room again. There was some red liquid spilled on the floor, near the couch. Is that...blood? My mouth hung open and my heart started racing. Shit. Where on earth was Sofia? And what in hell's name happened here?
The faint noises started getting louder as I walked down the hallway to the room at the end, where the noises seemed to be coming from. It sounded like my cousin and she seemed to be speaking to someone.
All of a sudden, I heard something bang against a wall. Oh my god! My eyes were as wide as saucers at this point and I reached to turn the knob of the door I stood in front of.
"Oh God! Please! Ohh please!" Yep. That was my cousin's voice for sure. "Just get it over with please." It sounded like she was in pain. I could hear moans of pain coming through the door. Was someone torturing her? Is she asking them to kill her and get it over with? I was still standing there, my mind whirring and my heart palpitating. It was not even a micro second later, I heard a scream. More specifically, my cousin's scream.
Twisting the knob and barging in frantically, I searched the room for Sofia and the culprit. Well, I found them for sure. On the bed. Just, not exactly in the position I'd thought they'd be in. "Aaah! My innocent eyes!" I cried out as I ran back out of the room, my hand covering my eyes. I guess what I heard weren't moans of pain.Returning to the living room, I took in the mess again and noticed Sofia's bra hanging off the fan. Real classy Soph. I rolled my eyes.
"Jesus Ly. Do you ever knock?" Sofia's voice came from behind me and I turned to see her with a white bed sheet wrapped around her slender form. Her red hair was a tangled mess and her skin was flushed from her previous activities I'd rather not think about.
"Sorry, your place looks like a crime scene and don't you ever lock?" I threw right back at her, sarcastically. "Is the couch safe?" I asked, cringing as I thought of what might have happened there. "Yeah." Soph rolled her eyes at me.
I sat down on the far end of the couch, cautiously. Near my foot lay an opened bottle of red wine and a knocked over wine glass, with the wine spilled on the floor. I suppose I jumped to conclusions, thinking it was blood. You'd be a fantastic detective one day. Sometimes my own sarcastic thoughts could get really annoying. How was I supposed to know what she was doing? Oh, maybe from all the moaning, groaning and screaming coming from the door? I swear, if my subconscious was a person, I'd have punched them by now.
"So why are you here?" Sofia quirked an eyebrow at me.
"Umm.. you told me to pick you up...? Please tell me you didn't forget." I narrowed my eyes at her sheepish smile. Sighing, I stood up and flicked her on the forehead.
"Ow." She rubbed the spot, while holding on to the sheet with her other hand. "I'm sorry but I was a bit preoccupied." She gave me a smirk.
"Oh gross. Ugh. You've scarred my eyes for life." I scrunched up my face as the image returned to my mind.
