Our very first date was ruined by rain.

Well, not ruined. Jimin managed to salvage it. I swear the man is a blessing from god. We were supposed to go to the park but when the rain started, he took me on a drive and then, to this really cute retro diner by the edge of the town.

We laughed and talked the whole time. It was perfect. It wasn't anything special. In fact, it was almost a normal day for us but it was a different feeling. The rainy weather, the hot cocoa, the warm mood around the diner. It was all perfect. It felt like home.

Jimin felt like home.

All too soon, it ended. Hours spent together felt like seconds and I was unwilling to say goodbye to these moments.

By the time we got back home, it was almost midnight and Blair had already called me twice.

Jimin gave me a searing goodbye kiss which left me with a goofy smile on my face, before leaving. I laughed in glee before stepping into the house. I walked to the living room, unable to wipe the smile off my face but instantly felt it vanish when I saw Blair laying on the couch like a burrito.

"Oh my god Blair, what happened?."

~

After getting the full story out of her and two tubs of ice cream later, I managed to get her to fall asleep.

I was still unable to wrap my mind around it. It made me so sad just thinking about it. My best friend... couldn't be a mom? It had never been Blair's priority but I knew her well enough, to know that she'd want it too, someday. And now that chance was snatched from her.

Blair wanted to keep it hush for now. She didn't want the judge-y, pitying looks thrown her way. Which was totally understandable.

It took me and Chelsea almost a week to get her out of bed and to stop being so miserable. We covered it from the guys by saying she was on her shark week. Everyone believed it, except Yoongi.

You could see just by looking at him that the poor guy was going out of his mind not being able to see Blair. The only thing he could do for her would be to offer comfort but he couldn't even do that as Blair would take that as pity. He would show up everyday just to check if she was okay, even though she wouldn't meet him. Now, that's dedication.

Jimin and I were better than ever. Being with him was like swimming in an ocean of chocolate with unicorns flying above me amongst the cotton candy clouds. Yes. That meant it was blissful. I forgot all my worries around him and the best part? He was my best friend as well. We'd talk for days on end without stopping if we could.

After Blair had come out of her cocoon in the bed, she seemed better. She didn't say anything about "That, which shall never be spoken of" and seemed to go back to her usual annoyingly cheery self. I knew better than to trust her facade. But if that's how she's gonna cope, then I'll be the supporting best friend she needs at this time.

All was going well. Like, really well. Which was why I had a feeling something bad was going to happen. I mean, doesn't everybody get suspicious when things are going too well?

Well, I was right.

I got the phone call almost 3 weeks after Blair's revelation, from my mom.

"Hey mom."

"Lylah, I'm so sorry honey I tried to stop it, but your father-"

I frowned. "Woah, mom slow down. What are you saying?"

"Oh honey." She sighed. "Your father has fixed your engagement again. To the Bartons' son."

And like that, my world collapsed. Again.
