Lylah

It had been one long and tiring week away from Jimin. I had spent all my time with my heartbroken cousin and exerted all my energy to help her heal.

Sofia, was safe to say, a mess. She'd barely slept and would barely eat. She'd made herself sick with sadness. Like actual, literally sick. She'd been throwing up lately and she couldn't bare the smell of some things without attacking the toilet like a crazed fangirl of Shawn Mendes.

I was so worried about her. This was worse than when her ex cheated on her with that bimbo.

But I knew, Sofia was a a strong girl and she would come out of this, wiser and stronger. She had already told me, before I left that she intended to have a talk with Ace, soon.

I just hope she gets through it without a mental breakdown.

I had just parked my car and was going into my dorm. Blair told me she prepared a delicious meal for my return and my mouth watered even at the sound of that.

I shoved my keys in the lock and turned it, freezing when I heard voices from inside. I shrugged it off, thinking Blair had Suga over. That seemed to be a usual occuring these days.

I pushed the door open and walked in, announcing my presence to my roommate. I didnt want to walk in on something nasty.

The voices stopped and footsteps came from the kitchen.

I pulled off my jacket and threw it on to the couch, turning around to face Blair. Except, it wasnt Blair I was met with. Well, not just Blair.

3 pairs of eyes blinked at me.

One, filled with anxiety and worry. Another familiar one, filled with joy and worry. And another, distantly familiar pair of baby blue eyes stared at me with unconcealed awe and amusement.

I scrunched up my face in confusion as I looked at the woman infront of me.

"Mom?"

That one word triggered her to move so fast, I bet she could beat the flash in a race. She rushed forward and enveloped me in a bone crushing hug and murmered into my ear. "Oh, how I've missed you, darling."

I hugged her back and pulled her away from me as I looked back at Blair and the other handsome guy.

"Mom...? What are you...?" I trailed off, looking at Blair for answers. She bit her lip anxiously and tilted her head toward the guy.

I took a better look at him. He was tall. That was the first thing I observed. Standing at around 5'10, he was taller than me, mom and Blair. He had wide baby blue eyes and dishellevd platinum blonde hair. His face was chiseled to perfection and his eyebrows were dark. He was definitely better looking than the average guy.

"Lylah, honey. I brought someone to meet you." My mom took my hand in hers, as she brought back my focus to her. Her eyes were shining with worry and I could see how anxious she was as she held my hand tightly.

"Mom, what's going on?" I asked as I gave her a reassuring squeeze.

"Lylah," she drew in a deep breath as she turned to face the other two in the crowded corridor.

"This is Lyle Barton." She looked at me as she uttered the next words carefully. "Your fiance."

Suddenly, all the confusion wiped clear from my face and anger took its place.

"What did you just say?" I gritted through my teeth. The guy looked surprised, yet amused at my reaction. He gave me a cocky smirk before starting to talk.

"Not so pleased to see your future husband I see. Dont worry, in a few days, you'll be dying to be with me." He added a stupid wink at the end.

Instantly, I decided I definitely didnt like him. Just because my last fiance was a gem, doesn't mean all of em will, I thought sarcastially.

I narrowed my eyes at him before addressing my mother.

"He's not my anything. I refuse to take part in this game that father keeps playing. And how dare you bring him here, into my home." I seethed at her and she gave me a look of helplessness.

"I couldn't deny your father, lylah. That's impossible. He urged me to let you tell meet as soon as possible so you get to know each other. I had not wanted to do this."

I pinched the bridge of my nose and let out a frustrated breath. "Look, dude. This, little arrangement." I waved my hand at the space between him and I. "Is not going to work out. I don't know you, I don't wanna know you and I sure as hell dont wanna marry you." I stated as firmly as I could. "Our fathers can do whatever they want but I will have no part in it. I will not marry you so it's best that we end this short lived engagement. And I would rather never see you again but it was nice meeting you again Lyle."

Before anyone else could interject, I left and didn't look back.

I desperately needed my dose of Park Jimin, now.
