Each character will get their own little epilogue.
3rd person POV
Chelsea and Aizan.
Chelsea had graduated and gotten a job at a very successful law firm. No one really thought shy, soft spoken Chelsea would become a bad ass lawyer.
As for Aizan, the boy attended one of the most prestigious universities and was probably the most successful one in the group of friends. At first, he didnt know what to do, but after a trip to South Africa, volunteering for the summer, he wanted to be someone that could contribute to the future. He became a neurosurgeon and later, a brilliant scientist who invented vaccines and cures to diseases that baffled the world.
Aizan got engaged to a fellow doctor, as was expected of him and was soon to be married in the coming fall. All of his friends attended the glamorous engagement party his fiance threw, and it gave him the opportunity to see the one person, he hadn't seen in years
Chelsea.
The girl had grown up to be a woman. Beautiful, in every sense of the word. Her shy, reserved shell had been shed and in her place, stood a fierce and outspoken young woman. Definitely the influence of Blair and Lylah.
Her blonde hair was cut in a bob, her blue eyes, no longer hidden behind glasses. She wore a bodycon, maroon dress that evoked thoughts he knew he shouldn't have.
Chelsea hadn't seen Aizan for years. Every year, the gang gets together for holidays but Aizan had been too busy to attend, recently. She understood, of course. He was an important figure to the world.
She never imagined that hed change as much as he had. No longer was he a boy. No. He was definitely a man.
For a moment, her heart fluttered, as their eyes met across the room and he gave her that undeniably swoon worthy smile. The smile that she'd been the recipient of, only a few years back.
For a moment, he felt that feeling ignite again. A feeling, that he'd long since forgotten. A single look from her had ignited emotions in him, not even the woman he was marrying could spark.
Chelsea and Aizan, moved to meet each other. As if an unseen force was pulling them towards each other, as if they were under a spell.
But then, the spell was broken.
A beautiful red head, glided forward and attached her arm to Aizan's. They both froze. Suddenly immobile, the glimmering ring on the woman's left hand, caught Chelsea's eyes.
Aizan followed her gaze to the woman, beside him. Miranda was a colleague of his that he met as a doctor. She was nice, docile and the perfect wife material. They both got along nicely and their colleagues seemed to think they should be together. Honestly, there was no reason not to. Her father had helped him tremendously along his career and he could never pay his debt back. So, after a few dates, no one was surprised when he popped the question.
Aizan droned out the chatter of his fiance and found his gaze on the girl across the room. Her eyes were back on him now. Those blue orbs, like the blue of the sky, pierced through him and for a second, he forgot to breathe. When did her eyes get so intense?
Chelsea couldn't help the disappointment that washed over her. She didnt know why she felt that way. Didnt know why her heart raced when she looked at her high school sweetheart and lifelong friend.
Then she looked at the woman on his arm, and composed herself. How was it that only a few years ago, shed been the one in his arms.
Nostalgia and wistfulness attacked her form and she took one last longing look at Aizan. He looked at her with the same emotion. He made a move to go to her but she shook her head at him. She gave him a resigned smile and turned around to vanish in the sea of guests.
Aizan watched as her blonde head disappeared in the crowd and a wave of panic surged through him. But then, reality set in and all he could do was sigh.
What was he thinking? He had a fiance. He was getting married.
But even with that fact lingering in his mind, he couldn't help but wonder how things would be if they hadn't ended things between them all those years ago.
He mingled with the guests and talked with his friends but he hadn't seen Chelsea since.
By the end of the party, guests had left and his fiance had already gone. He took care of everything and was going to his car in the parking lot when he noticed her.
The blonde hair was unmistakable. She seemed frustrated and was glaring at her car, with her phone pressed against her ear.
Something sparked within himself and he didnt realise his legs were already carrying him to her.
"Car trouble?" He asked, praying to God he didnt sound as nervous as he was.
Surprise flittered through her eyes before she gave a disgruntled groan
"Little shit wont start."Aizan snorted at her colourful nickname for her car and uttered the 3 words that could change their fate forever.
"Need a ride?"
