Suga ^^ that cutie ♥️
Lylah
"Oh my god, I'm dying!" I groaned as I banged my head against the table.
Blair rolled her eyes before stealing a fry off my tray. "Don't be so dramatic, it's only mid day."
"Yeah but you can't imagine the amount of work I've already done in these stupid classes. Ugh, thank god next is Art for me." I leaned back against my chair.
We all were sitting around a table in the cafeteria, as we all had lunch together.
Aizan and Chelsea were engrossed in a conversation about ... birds? My friends were weird. I gave them a weirded out look.
"Hey come with me to my locker. I need to get my art supplies." I nudged Blair.
Our school did have lockers but we rarely used them as most of our books and school stuff, we brought back to our dorms. For a private boarding school, our school was much more like a public school. Just, fancier.
Blair and I stood up, waving goodbye to the two, still discussing which bird was a superior creature. As we neared my locker, I handed Blair my bag to hold while I entered in my combination.
Opening the locker, I reached in to grab my brushes, pencils and sketchbook. Making sure I had everything I needed, I slammed my locker shut. Before I could close it all the way, a piece of paper floated down to my feet, from inside my locker.
"What's that?" My best friend peered over my shoulder. "I don't know. Hold on, lemme see." I murmured as I bent down to take it.
It was a piece of paper, folded in the middle with my name on the front, in bold, clear handwriting. My eyebrows knotted as I tilted my head in confusion. Who kept this here?
"Who's that from?" Blair asked, with the same confused expression as me, her eyes narrowed at the object in my hand. Shifting my things to my other hand, I opened the note and started to read.
"Dear lylah,
I didn't know it before, but I spent my days waiting for someone like you, searching the crowds for your face. I stopped breathing the moment you recognized me, as you captured my soul with your gaze. I cannot remember exactly when your soul whispered to mine, but I know you woke it. And it has not slept since. You have been the sole reason I lay awake at night, dreaming up scenarios where we both are together. I know it seems a bit creepy, but this is the only way I could think of that would get your attention.
- Forever your always ""Wow. That was... umm .. wow." Blair muttered out, her eyes wide and unblinking. I was in a much similar state. My mouth dry, after reading it. It was beautiful. I slowly turned around to face Blair, the note still in my hand.
"Who could it be from? There's no name or anything." I furrowed my eyebrows at the object of discussion. Blair let out a low whistle. "I don't know. But it looks like you've got a secret admirer. Damn, girl didn't know you attracted the poetic type." She nudged my shoulder playfully.
I folded the paper again and put it in my sketchbook. We made our way to our class, Blair still going on about my mysterious admirer. Who could it be? My mind came up blank as I tried to guess. It could be one of my "fans" at school. I mean I'm not trying to brag but it wasn't like I was unpopular at school. But it seemed like whoever it was knew me on a personal level, from the way it was written.
What the hell was that about "forever your always"? My mind whirred with thoughts as I approached the Art room door.
This was one of the classes I shared with Blair. Apart from Art, we shared History, Bio and Chem. Chelsea and I had English Lit and Economics together while Aizan and I shared Life Skill and Calculus. The one class all four of us shared was P.E. My parents made me choose most of my subjects, almost all of them are advanced classes. Can't afford to disappoint daddy dearest.
