Lylah

Slamming the bathroom door behind me, I walked further into the room. The girl in front of me stood startled, like a deer caught in headlights. Her beautiful eyes were widened to the max and her hands were frozen midway of applying lipgloss.

Lindsay was a beautiful girl, really. If it weren't for her ugly personality.

"Hello Lindsay." I sneered.

"Ly-Ly-Lylah." She stammered.

"Let's get straight to the point. I know it was you that uploaded that video. I know it was you eavesdropping on us that day." I stated coldly.

"So? What about it?" She tried to regain her composure, glaring holes at me.

"WHAT ABOUT IT? WHAT ABOUT IT IS THAT YOU KNOW THATS NOT THE REALLY WHAT HAPPENED. YOU EDITED OUT THE REST OF THE VIDEO FOR SOME PETTY REASON." I lost all my cool. This bitch, had the nerve, the audacity to ask me, "what about it?".

Lindsay seemed taken aback by my verbal explosion and she took a step back, seeing my livid expression, probably realizing I wasn't playing her games this time.

"You-you deserve it. You stole my boyfriend you man stealing whore." Her voice grew more confident as she spoke and her eyes narrowed into slits.

I let out a maniacal laugh at that. "Are we still on this?" I rubbed the spot between my eyes. She was getting on every nerve I had. "For the final time, I did not steal your boyfriend okay? I don't even know who the fuck that is! And even if I did, then it wouldn't be "stealing". It'd be "saving" the poor guy from a wacko like you."

"Shut up! Just shut up!" She screamed. And by screamed I mean literally high pitch screamed like a brat throwing a tantrum. I think I felt blood come out of my eardrums. "If you hadn't come along, I would still have my bae! He loves me! I know that! You just came and seduced him you wench!"

"Oh for fucks sake woman!" I groaned. It was worse than dealing with a 5 year old. "I  D I D N O T   S T E A L  Y O U R  B O Y F R I E N D!"

"Yes you did! I saw you leave that apartment!" She yelled.

"What apartment?" I asked bored-ly. It was time to get this clear.

"Don't pretend not to know you slut! The one that's a block away from the club and next to the Week Cafe!" By now, she was close to tears, practically. "I loved him. I gave him everything. Anything he asked for. And he threw it all away." Her voice quivered as she looked down at the floor. "I went against daddy for him. I gave him all the information about daddy's new projects. I never questioned him, not once. What did I do so wrong?"

My mind was in conflict. I wanted to say something comforting but this bitch needed to be knocked down a peg or two. Oh well, I was never good with consoling people.

"Oh come awn. I finally get around to a showdown with you and you start your sob story?" I whined. "Wait.. did you just say, next to the Week Cafe?"

Lindsay rolled her eyes but nodded nonetheless, discreetly dying to wipe her smudged mascara.

What? That place.. That's Sofia's building. If she saw me come out of there after a guy...

"When, exactly was this?" I asked curiously.

She shot me a dirty look as if to say you dare even ask. "4th."

I blinked once. Then twice. It took me a while to wrap my mind around it. But it finally dawned on me.

The mysterious aura, the matching dates, the scene at the party. It had been Ace. My hunch was proven right all along. I thought I might have been mistaken on the night of the party, but it seems I was right after all.

"Hey Lindsay. What's your boyfriends name?" I asked, my anger simmered down and turned into pity for the girl infront of me.

"God." She gave a humorless laugh. "You don't even know his name and you slept with him?"

"Okay. Fuck off with the judgement I told you it ain't me." I glared at her, annoyed.

"Ace Carson." She muttered with an eye roll.

I so totally called it.

"Look, first of. Let's get something clear. I didn't sleep with anyone's boyfie. I only came out of that apartment because I was visiting my cousin. And just because I exited the same building your cheating boyfriend did, doesn't mean I was the one he was cheating with. It's called a c-o-i-n-c-i-d-e-n-c-e. Coincidence, ever heard of those?" I got started, not giving her a chance to interject. "And secondly, I overheard you and that dude at the party and from what I've heard, the guys a proper dick. You shouldn't have dated such an asshole in the first place. Knowing you, you probably gave him everything he asked for at the slightest hint of affection." I rolled my eyes. So typical of her. "And lastly, you've been harassing me because of a fucking misunderstanding? Are you for real? Is this some over dramatic story on Wattpad for that to happen?" I screeched in frustration.

For the first time since I met her, Lindsay kept her mouth shut. Her eyes were widened in realization. Probably realized how stupid she was.

"Look," I started again, with a softer voice. "I bet it sucks to be treated that way. It's unfair and you don't deserve what he did. But you need to understand that you can't cling on to the past like that. You cant think that he's the only guy who'll ever love you." Her eyes watered as I went on, so I hurriedly tried to make it stop. I don't do well with crying. "Also, it's offensive to all the bitches in the world, if you become a bitch because of him. If you wanna be a bitch, be a bitch for the sake of you. Don't give him the satisfaction of affecting you so much." I gave her an awkward pat in the shoulder and slowly tried to shuffle out of the bathroom. But before I could, I was attacked into a bear hug.

Lindsay wrapped her thin arms around my form and sobbed into my shoulder. Her entire body shook with the force of her cries and her tears soaked through my shirt.

We stood like that for a moment, before she pulled away, sniffling.

"I'm sorry Lylah. For the shirt. I won't ask forgiveness for what I've done to you cause, let's face it. You won't even forgive me but I guess, this is the least I can do." She gave me a weak smile before pulling out her phone from her bag and handing it over. "It has the full clip on it."

My eyes widened and I almost pinched myself to make sure I wasn't dreaming. Was Lindsay actually being... nice?

I quickly took the phone and hurried out of the bathroom to my awaiting friends.

"Did you make her cry?" Tae asked wide eyed. Guess they heard her sniffling even from outside.

"No. Yes. Not exactly. I mean. It's a long story. You guys won't believe what just happened. I feel like I'm in some teen drama." And with that, I told them all about Lindsay, Ace the cheater who was dating my cousin and even Lindsay's little meltdown just now.
