Lylah

I ran through the crowd of people, trying to find my parents. I'd just landed in my hometowns airport and they were supposed to pick me up.

Being away at college for 4 years sure made me appreciate home a little.

I groaned as I saw the text from my mom that they were stuck in traffic, meaning I'd have to wait until they came. Just great.

I trudged back to the waiting area and played with my phone, texting Blair who was supposed to come home the next day. Soon enough, my phone died. Again, just freaking great. Already bored, I glanced around the huge airport to see if anything caught my interest.

Of course, there was the children's play area. I slowly stood up from my seat, checking if anyone saw me walking towards the area. A huge grin took over my face as I slowly jogged towards the area, where kids were running and screaming their heads off.

I instantly aimed for the hives slide off to the side of the room. Gently pushing kids out of the way, I got myself in the slide before letting out a squeal and pushing myself down.

I roamed around, playing hide and seek with a few kids before growing tired and deciding to try out the airplane. I ran towards it and jumped in, at the same time that another girl did.

Falling on my back with a thud, I turned to check if the girl was okay. She was around 10 years or older and seemed distinctly familiar. I brushed off the feeling before offering my hand for her to stand up.

The girl slapped my hand away and got up on her own with a glare aimed towards me. "Watch it, lady!"

My eyes narrowed into slits as I bristled at her tone. "Look, why don't you go run off and play, I didn't mean to collide with you." I snapped.

"Why don't you go run off and play" she mocked me with a sneer before turning to sit in the airplane. Oh hell no.

I pushed an arm out to block her path. "I was here first, little girl." I sneered our the last part. What? I can be petty too.
