I hold my hand out, the cube flying into it. I run my thumb over the surface of the cube and stand strong as the suit assembles on me. The rest of the Avengers sprint past me, running to get their suits. I push off the ground, taking to the air. I fly through the hole in the ceiling, and shoot up into the air. I look around, surprised by the lack of helicarriers, vehicles, or agents in general. I steady myself in the air and furrow my brows in confusion.

"Steve! What the fuck is going on?" I ask.

"What do you me- ah shit!" Steve exclaims, followed by a loud crash and a groan.

"Oh god. What did you do?" I ask, scanning the air, Hydra's computer system taking in all the variables of the situation.

        "I.. nothing. I did nothing!"

"He tripped and fell over trying to get his foot in his left pant leg." Natasha says.

        "Typical." I mutter.

"How are things looking up there? It's pretty quiet down here." Bruce reports.

"Nothing up here in the sky either. I don't understand why the alarm is going off when there is no visible threat." I respond, still searching the sky for who we are supposed to fight.

"That's when it is the worst, when you can't see who you're supposed to be fighting." Bucky states.

"He's right. I'm working on securing the computer systems right now." Natasha says.

"I'll join you." my dad adds.

"Jet, you doing okay?" Steve asks.

"Yeah, I'm fine. Like I said, there is no visible threat. I don't get wh- FUCK!" I scream, the suit suddenly peeling off of me and falling to the ground. I free fall in the air, getting closer and closer to the roof with every passing second. Oh shit. This is gonna hurt like a bitch. I grit my teeth and prepare myself for the painful landing.

"JET! What's wrong!" Steve yells. I come in contact with the concrete roof. I scream out in pain, my left knee and elbow taking most of the impact.

"Jet! I'm heading up now!" my dad yells.

"No! I'm fine! I can handle this!" I yell back to him through gritted teeth, eyes filled with tears. I get up and stare at the suit. I kick it with my foot, muttering a long string of colorful words underneath my breath. I try to walk on my left foot and scream out in pain. I collapse to the ground, gripping my knee with both of my hands.

"Yeah, I'm coming up right now." Steve says.

"I'm fine!" I sigh and get up, favoring my right side. A man drops down before me, causing me to stumble back, sending another wave of pain through my left leg. I scream out in pain again, gritting my teeth. The man has pale skin and striking green eyes. His dark, long hair frames his face. He is wearing a black leather uniform with gold and dark green detailing. A gold helmet dons his head, two horns rising out of the sides of it. His eyes settle on me, a sinister smile breaking across his face.

"Hello." he says in a mysterious tone.

"Da fuck are you?" I ask, my knee and elbow screaming. He laughs, revealing a row of perfectly straight and white teeth. My god! They're so perfect! I wouldn't be surprised if he is a god.

"I am Loki, of Asgard. And I am b-"

"Burdened with glorious purpose, yeah, yeah, yeah." I say, understanding who he is now. He seems taken aback, his gentle eyes now filled with rage.
