Tony's POV
God Jet. Why do you always cause so many problems?! I pace in the small hall in our apartment, running my fingers through my hair. Solutions. Solutions. I need to figure out some sort of solution to this little problem. So, Hydra took her. That we know. So why don't I just go in and get her out? Wait, Coulson already said we couldn't because it was too dangerous. Probably true. Knowing them, they probably have her under some high security, 24/7 surveillance with tons of guards. Or they could be training her, using her to kill off their threats, to become someone that she isn't.
"Tony? You're pacing again." Pepper points out.
"Hm?" I ask, looking up and stopping where I am.
"You're pacing." she repeats, her eyes fixed on me. I exhale, anger growing inside.
"Yeah. That tends to happen when I try to think things out." I snitch, rolling my eyes, looking back down at the floor, and starting to pace again. I trace my beard with my fingers and begin formulating different plans.
"Okay, I don't need that attitude right now, Tony." she snaps. I look back up to her, just as she stands up in a defensive position.
"Well I'm so fucking sorry Pepper. I might just be a little stressed out about the fact our daughter was taken and could possibly be dead! Isn't that stressing you out at all?!" I yell, getting more and more infuriated with every passing second.
"It's stressing me out Tony, don't you dare even think that I am not worried, not even for a second. I just don't stress the way that you do." she explains to me, struggling to keep a steady head.
"That's bullshit! No wonder why Jet feels so unimportant! We neglect her! She was right!" I exclaim, noticing that we really do.
"No Tony. I never neglected her. You neglected her." she says, her voice becoming more ridged.
"I may have done a lot of things Pepper but I never was the only one. You're her parent too. We are in this together, we are a team! I thought we agreed that it's not just you or me, but it was we, us."
"Maybe that was before we died." she says in a surprisingly steady voice.
"What is that supposed to mean?" I ask, raising an eyebrow and staggering back.
"Things have changed since we were injected with GH-325. You and I can't deny it."
"No, I can't. But that doesn't mean that we can't work to become the people we were before."
"Whatever you say Tony. Maybe you should stop trying to be the hero here."
"I am going to fight until we can get Jet back in our arms. I will give my life if that is what is necessary. And if I have to do it without you, so be it." I huff and walk out of our apartment door. None of this was happening before Loki got here. She never questioned if she was ours or not, she never acted on impulse, she never got mad at us. So why now? I start walking through the halls, not really knowing where I intend to go. Loki. Why is he here? He just kinda shows up all the time, and that's when things start acting up and going south. If he's just going to keep doing this,we're going to have to get pointbreak to behead him or something. Loki.... Loki... LOKI! All the pieces fall into place. I walk a little quicker, gaining ground quickly. I need to get to the detention hall, I need answers. I keep my eyes forward and my chin high, not wanting to make eye contact with any of the other agents. It's usually the same reaction. The initial shock and then the questions. But I don't have time to explain how I'm now alive and well and no longer, well, dead. After a few minutes of walking at my rushed pace, I finally come across the detention hall. I turn down it, nodding at the guards who let me through. I keep walking until I come across the door that's heavily guarded.
