Chapter 17: Duel

Duel, its a type of battle between players or simply called PVP, once you accept a duel there will be a countdown, in Magnus island a duel preparing time is 30 seconds, there is a restriction, if you run away you'll get penalties and automatically lose, if you use an item that is agreed not to used between players will have penalties and you'll lose automatically, each players will give something like money or items if they lose. But sometimes its just an evaluation between guild mates who are the strongest. In Magnus Island i have received a ton of duel requests, naturally they want my equipment. Every time i duel them they would last 20 seconds, that's the longest, and the shortest is 5 seconds. That's why i became rich in the game.

And now for the first time after i came in this world someone want's to duel me, and i don't even know why's he challenging me? Is he an idiot or something?

After i came home to the inn yesterday i inquired Diane about duels in this world and where is the Warriors Arena located.

Duels in this world are just like duels in Magnus Island, each person will put something on the line, money, possessions, even slaves. They treat slaves like money? What the hell?

And according to Diane the Warriors Arena is owned by the Ramlance family. Oh so he wants me to duel him in a place owned by them? Good enough.

Then i got up to my bed, got down and have breakfast, today's meal is Spring salad and coffee, Spring salad is what they call it because all its ingredients are found only in spring. Its a light meal though but good. I'll study cooking later.

Then i got out of the inn and headed to the Adventurers Guild, i did not tell Lilith about the duel with Zachary.

I arrived the the Guild and opened the door, they are not looking at me but looking at the two beauties on the counter, Alice and Lilith. Yup they're beauties in this town.

I approached them, [Heya you two, Good morning] 

[Ah Good morning Azazel], [Good morning!] they greeted me back,

[So what's happening? Anything good?] i asked them

[Oh nothing much, its just the Ramlance family just held an event today, someone offended Zachary and of course he challenged who offended him.] she said that while sighing 

Wait? Offended? What's with the fake news!

[Um, to tell you the truth, i'm the one who'll be fighting him.] i said while sighing

[You what?! You're the one offended Zachary?!] Lilith said while shouting

Alice on the other hand is observing the situation, [Wait, did you really offend him in some ways?]

[Certainly no? ah it must be back at the Quest, he was all talk, after seeing his opponent he ran away leaving his party member, i called him a coward while he was running, so yeah i must have offended him.] i sigh again

[Hmm, yeah he will be offended by that, he didn't see you with Alice?] she said

Me and Alice looked at her? [What do you mean by that?] i asked her

[Oh its just that, Zachary has been aiming for Alice a long time now, at first he wants her to be in his party but after that he wants Alice to be his wife.]

[Ah yeah i remember that, i constantly turned him down every time, he may be handsome but he has a disgusting personality, unlike you Azazel] she said that while looking at the ground, yeah she's blushing alright

[H-hey Alice! What are you saying to Azazel!] Lilith intervened

[W-what? Did i say anything?] Alice averted her eyes away obviously she's denying it
