river montgomery had been dreading the arrival of this day, never in her fifteen years had she hated a day as much as today.

a sigh escaped from her mouth, watching as she stared out the window of the school trailer, sitting on the edge of the couch. her eyes wondered around from place to place, waiting for the arrival of a certain british boy.

" he'll be here soon. " whispered a voice from behind the brunette.

river quickly turned back to face the voice, giving kora a small smile, " i know. " she replied simply.

" he won't leave without saying goodbye. especially to you. " kora said, walking over to river, sitting next to her and hugging her.

a tear left the sixteen year olds eye, the flowing tear ran down her cheek. she didn't want to cry, she couldn't dare even speak of how betrayed she felt.

" everything okay here? " asked a soft voice.

river took her head away from koras shoulder, and turned it toward the door to see louis standing there. before she could even say a word, she stood up from the couch and ran toward louis, throwing her hands around his neck. the impact was so hard, it nearly knocked the two over.

" oh-?" louis said, a shocked tone in his voice, " hey riv. " he said, hugging the girl back tightly.

kora quickly walked around the two teens, knowing she probably should led herself out, " ill leave you two alone. " she said, winking at louis.

louis eyes widened, understanding what kora meant before she left. he awkwardly laughed as he broke the embrace with river. the british boy now got a full view of the brunettes face, seeing the tear filled blue eyes, " hey, what's wrong? "

the girl wiped her tear away from her cheek, " i'm just gonna miss you. "

louis looked the girl in the eyes, " are you sure? " he asked, " dont lie to me. "

she sniffled, and looked down at her feet, not daring look the boy in the eyes when she said, " i promise, nothing happened. "

louis could see right through the girls lies, he after all, knew exactly what happened. thanks to rivers sister rowan, "well, im gonna miss you too. " he smiled, leading her on the couch, having them sit together.

river grabbed a pillow and hugged it, " it's only a few weeks. " she said as a tear fell onto the pillow.

louis sighed to his defeat, moving over to the girl and holding her close to him. her head now lied on his chest and he rubbed her back, " exactly. " he said, kissing her head, " only a few weeks. "
