"You better not leave me by myself, i'll most likely drown!" River Montgomery blurted before popping a Cheeto in her mouth, she looked over her shoulder to stare at Louis who had been driving, "Promise me you won't let me drown."
Louis looked over at the girl for a split second with a quirked eyebrow, "Why would I ever let you drown?" He asked with a chuckle as he fixed his eyes back at the road.
River hit Louis shoulder playfully as she let out another laugh, "Promise me!"
His eyes darted over to her then back on the road and repeated a few times, "Can't make any promises." He joked, turning into a parking spot.
Rivers mouth hung open as she hit his arm again, "Louis! That's not funny!" She whined.
He shrugged off the girls ation, taking his seatbelt off and smiling, "Come on! You know i'm just kidding. All jokes aside, I won't let you drown." He promised the girl.
River pouted her lip as she looked over at the boy, "Promise me?" She asked, sticking out her pinky, waiting in hopes for the boy to confirm his promise.
He looked over his shoulder at the girl, then stared down at her hand with her pinky held out, "I promise." He wrapped his pinky around hers as he looked up into her eyes. He gave her a small smile, "I'll help you when you need help. Now get out of the car and lets get this show on the road. Sound good?" He asked her.
She nodded her head in approval, truning to the door and hopping out of the car. She slammed the car door shut and walked around the car to see Louis waiting for her.
"Ready to try surfing?" He asked her simply.
"Ready as i'll ever be." River laughed as she grabbed his hand and pulled him along the sidewalk.
The two walked along the sand on the beach, staring out at the water. They didn't say anything but instead stated out at the sun & listened to the sound of the waves crash onto the shore. The sun turned the color of golden honey and the sky was soon turning to a bright orange.
River looked over at Louis who stood to her side, admiring the way he stared out at the water without speaking. He didn't feel the need to put his input about everything out there and that was one thing River found very attractive about Louis. She watched him take a deep breath and close his eyes tight. The sounds of waves crashing was what made River rush to take off her top and only have her bathing suit on.
"Race you." She said eyeing him in his wetsuit.
Before Louis could respond, the young girl took off for the water. He watched as she ran down the sand and toward the shore. Louis laughed to himself as he shook his head, taking off down the beach following behind River.
River turned around as she ran into the water, watching as Louis rushed down the shore, "Catch me if you can!" She joked as she rushed into the water.
Louis chuckled at the girls statement as she jumped into the water and ran after her, splashing water everywhere as he did so, "You can't run forever." He ran behind the girl and pulled her back into the water.
River attempted to let out a playful outburst until she was taken under and emerged from underwater, "Hey!" She shouted as she pushed Louis off from behind her.
"You were the one who started it!" He shouted back at the girl in a playful manner.
"I guess I got what was coming to me."
"I guess you did."
