Another example for chain-reactions- RUMOURS.
You do something different or out of character. Then the word gets around and you have changed and your imaged has been warped into something your not.
By God can they hurt.
Nasty, offensive, hurtful rumours that say so little about the person and more about the creator.
"What Susie said of Sally tells us more about Susie than Sally."
Can we really live by that? No one recognises that Susie said it. It is about Sally. So they go and target Sally.
"Did you know that Sally had a party on the weekend? She was way smashed. Guess who she left with- of course it was John!"
So that rumour would spread.
And change.
And hurt.
"Did you hear- Sally is pregnant!"
"Did you hear- Sally has an STI!"
"Did you hear- Sally is a stripper! Betcha it was only a rumour started by her. What a bítch!"
So in the end, Sally is more hurt than Susie.
Susie, go fúck yourself.
