Chapter 28

*Dream*

I looked around and saw I was in the field but it was vibrant and alive with flowers. I heard a dog crying behind me and turned to see one of the wolves that attacked Laurent. It was rusty coloured and big. It approached me and I met it halfway. I reached out my hand and it placed it's head on it. I scratched it giggling as it's leg twitched.

I looked into it's eyes and still couldn't picture who it could be. "Who are you?" I whispered and it shook its head before running towards the trees. Before it disappeared it turned and gave me one last glance.

*End of dream*

My eyes fluttered open as I looked around my room. I sat up and rubbed my face before checking the time letting out a yawn. 9:32 AM There was a knock on my door and I turned to see Bella standing there with a black tank top and some light purple pyjama pants. "Morning" I said croakily. "Morning. Umm can you come with me to Jacobs? I need to see him" She said biting her finger nails.

"Bella, the last time I went somewhere with you we nearly died" I said standing up from my bed and walking over to my draws. "Please" She begged and I rolled my eyes before sighing. "Fine" I said and she smiled. "Ok. We'll leave in 15 minutes" She said before walking away. I opened my drawer and pulled out a white long sleeve shirt and some black skinny jeans.

I slipped them on and walked to my closet grabbing out a denim jacket and a navy blue scarf. I slipped them on and threw my hair into a messy bun. I put on my brown combat boots before walking into the bathroom. I brushed my teeth quickly and sprayed some perfume after quickly washing my face.

I walked out of the bathroom and into Bella's room to see her putting on her jacket. "Lets go" She said and I walked downstairs with her following in toe. We exited the house and climbed into her truck. "Why do you need to desperately need to see him?" I questioned as we turned into the reserve.

"I need answers" She said and nodded. We soon pulled up to the Black household. We both jumped out of Bellas truck making our way to the front door. Bella knocked on the door and through the small windows we saw Billy wheeling up. He opened the door and I bit my bottom lip. "Bella. Elise" He said calmly as he stared up at us.

"I need to see him" Bella said bluntly as she stared at him. "He's not in" Billy replied and Bella's face fell. "Look, I'm sorry, I really need to see him" Bella said barging into the house. "Bella!" I called after her as Billy moved aside allowing me in. "You can't just storm into someones house like that!" I scolded as she opened Jacobs bedroom door.

I peered over her shoulder and saw Jacob fast asleep on his bed. I heard some sort of yelps and calls causing me to turn and look out the window to see Sam ad 3 other boys I didn't recognise. Bella stomped out of Jacobs room back out the front door and began approaching them. "Bella!" I snapped running after her.

One minutes she's depressed as can be and next thing you know she's suddenly gained this courage to stand up to a bunch of guys on steroids! I thought to myself as I followed my sister. "What did you do?!" She said angrily. "What did you do?!" She snapped again shoving Sam. "Hey!" One of the guys called causing Sam to shoot him a quick look.

"Easy!" He said. "He didn't want this!" Bella said looking at them all. "Bella let's just go!" I pleaded trying to pull her away only for her to pull her arm out of my grip. "What did we do?! What did he do?! Hmm? What did he tell you?!" The biggest one snarled causing me to become scared. "Both of you calm down" Sam said grabbing the guys arm.

"Nothing. He tells us nothing because he's scared of you" Bella said annoyed causing them all to laugh. She scoffed before raising my hand slapping the guy across the face causing me to gasp. He glared at us as he began to shake. "Too late now" One of them taunted as Sam grabbed his arm again. "Girls get back!" Sam ordered and I stepped back as he began to growl like some animal.

"Paul! Calm down" Sam demanded as he began to roar. I let out a yelp as I tripped falling over. He snarled bending over before suddenly turning into this huge wolf! He snapped his jaws as he approached me. I covered my face as I screamed in fear. "Bella! Elise!" I heard Jake call but I couldn't move.

Out of nowhere I heard a massive thud and opened my eyes to see a rusty coloured wolf standing over me in a protective stance growling at Paul. They charged at each other and began fighting as I shook in fear. "Hey, take the girls back to Emily's place" Sam said looking at us. "Guess the wolfs out of the bag" One of them said as they approached us.

Bella helped me up and we walked to her truck. The two guys climbed in the back and we began to drive to Emily's house. After a few minutes we pulled up and the two guys jumped out of the truck yelling out her name. "Hey I think we should go back and make sure Jacob is ok" Bella said winding down her window as I climbed out of the truck.

"I hope Paul sinks some teeth into him. Serves him right" The guy who's name I learned to be Jared said. "No way, Jacobs a natural. Did you see him phase of the fly? I got five bucks says Paul doesn't touch him" The other guy Embry said. "Come in girls. We don't bite" Embry said turning back to us. "Speak for yourself" Jared said before walking into the house.

"Oh, hey, about Emily, Sams fiancé, don't stare. It bugs Sam" Embry said before walking inside as I remembered the scars on her face. "Why would I stare?" Bella asked confused. "You guys hungry? Like I have to ask" Emily's kind voice said and I smiled as we walked inside the warm home.

She turned to Bella and I before turning to the boys. "Who's this?" She asked. "Bella and Elise Swan. Who else?" Jared said. "Elise?" Emily said as she smiled at me. I smiled and approached her giving her a quick hug. "Hmm so you two are the vampire girls" She said playfully as we pulled away.

"So you're wolf girl" Bella said back as she stepped further into the house. "Guess so. Well I'm engaged to one" She said as she placed a bowl of huge muffins on the table and I smiled. Jared reached for another one only for Emily to grab his arm. "Save some for your brothers and ladies first" She scolded. "Muffin?" She offered turning to us.

"Sure. Thanks" I said as Bella and I grabbed one. I took a bite and moaned in joy. "God Em. Good cooking must be genetics in your family" I joked and she giggled. "Leave it to Jacob to find a way around Sams gag order" She said walking back into the kitchen. "Umm he didn't say anything to me" Bella said awkwardly.

"It's a wolf thing. Alpha's orders get obeyed whether we want 'em to or not. Oh and check it out, we can hear each others thoughts" Embry bragged. "Would you shut?! These are trade secrets! Damnit! These chicks run with vampires!" Jared snapped. "You can't really run with vampires. They're really really fast" I said and Jared looked at me.

"Yeah? Well we're faster. Freaked out yet?" Jared said smugly and I rolled my eyes. Jasper would out run you any day I thought to myself. "You're not the first monsters that I've met" I shot back. "Jake's right. You two are good with weird" Sam said as he entered his house. He walked over to Emily and kissed her. I averted my eyes elsewhere not wanting to see it.

I hate seeing couples being all lovey dovey with each other. It just brings back memories of Jasper and I... I heard chatter and turned to see Jake and Paul walk up shoving each other and laughing. Paul looked up at us after taking a seat with a smug look on his face. "Sorry" He said before digging in. "Don't worry. It's not the first time I've nearly been killed by a monster" I said crossing my arms.

Jacob nodded his head outside and I went to leave when "Elise" Emily called and I stopped turning to her. "It was nice seeing you again" She said giving me a small smile. "You too Emily" I replied before walking outside and getting into Bella's truck being squished with Jacob. "Lets go to the beach. We need to talk" Bella said to Jacob.

"Bella can you just drop me off home first? I don't really wanna be around for yours and Jacobs sappy crap" I said annoyed. "Woah whats your problem feisty?" Jacob said turning to me. "Let me see, you've been MIA these past few weeks causing Bella to go back into her depressive state, I nearly got killed by a vampire a few days ago, today I was nearly killed by a giant fucking wolf and Sam and Emily reminded me of...Jasper" I said and he held his hands up in defence.

"Ok sorry for asking" He said and I rolled my eyes. After a few more minutes Bella stopped out the front of home and I got out slamming the door before walking inside to see dad sitting on the couch watching some show. "Hey" He called turning his head to me quickly before turning back to the show. "Hey" I replied walking up the stairs to me room.

"How was your day?" He called and I stopped. "Fine."
