Chapter 30

"J-Jasper? You're back?!" I stuttered and he nodded letting out a small chuckle. I let out shaky breaths as the tears fell from my eyes. "Why did you leave? Why didn't you answer my calls?!" I cried angrily and his head hung. "I couldn't bare to hear your voice. It was too painful. Leaving you was the the hardest thing I've ever had to do in my life" Jasper said and I stood up walking to my other window hugging myself.

"Then why did you leave?" I said looking at him. He rose from my bed and walked over to me. "That night of your birthday, I felt like such a monster. I nearly killed the love of my life. I thought my world was too dangerous for you and that it would be best if I just left your life and let you be a normal human" He said and I looked down to the ground.

"Do you know what you put me through? I couldn't eat, couldn't sleep, couldn't leave my room. I lot 15 pounds due to stress and anxiety!" I snapped and he looked at me solemnly. "I'm so sorry darlin" Jasper whispered and I let out a small sob. "I hate you so much! Everything I went through because of you! But you wanna know the worst part?! I still love you unconditionally and thats what I hate!" I cried and covered my face as I let everything I've been feeling over this past months out.

I collapse to my knees sobbing and felt Jasper wrap his arms around me. He lifted me up bridal style and walked me to my bed where he sat with his back against my head board and I was sitting on his lap crying into his chest. "I can never apologise to you enough Elise for what I put you through" He said as his fingers gently traced my back.

For the next hour I began to calm down as Jasper and I sat in silence on my bed. I let out a yawn and Jasper laid me down on my bed. He laid beside me and I placed my hand over his. "I forgive you" I whispered before falling asleep again.

I awoke the next morning to a knock on my door. I opened my eyes to see dad walking into my room. "Have you heard from Bella yet?" He asked and I shook my head. "No dad sorry I haven't" I said sitting up. "She is grounded for the rest of her life when she comes back" He said annoyed. "What did the note say?" I asked running my hands through my hair.

"She said that she needed to clear her head and was going somewhere but she was safe and with a friend" He said and I nodded. Dad left my room closing my door as he left and I sighed. I looked around my room and didn't see Jasper. Was it just a dream? I thought to myself. I felt the gust of wind and turned to see my window still open.

I walked over to it and closed the window seeing a small note on the cushions. I grabbed it and opened it.

Elise,

I left during the night to help my family move back into our house. They would like to see you tomorrow night as Bella and Edward should be arriving back tonight. I will pick you up around 12 pm to go somewhere.

I smiled and placed the note on my desk and walked downstairs to dad. "The Cullen's moved back to town" Dad said annoyed and I nodded. "Yeah I heard" I replied. "The boys aren't to step foot in my house or I'll put a hole through their heads" Dad grumbled and I gasped before slapping him hard on the arm.

"Ow! What the hell was that for?!" Dad exclaimed holding his arm. "How could you say such a thing?" I said and he rolled his eyes as he scoffed. "After what they put you and Bella through, I never want to see them again" he said. "Well to your dismay Jasper is picking me up in an hour to go somewhere" I sassed before walking into the kitchen.

"Wait what?!" Dad said following me into the kitchen. "Yeah, he called me last night and we talked things out and he wants to catch up today" I explained and dad sighed rubbing his face. "Alright then but he messes with you again he and his family would want to move way again and stay away" Dad warned and I giggled shaking my head before walking upstairs to the bathroom.

I had a quick shower and blow dried my hair before brushing it and throwing it into a bun. I then walked into my room and changed into my blue skinny jeans, red flannel shirt that ended at my elbows, my combat boots and a black scarf. I applied some mascara and light lip gloss before I grabbed my black jacket and slipped it on before grabbing my bag. I stopped in front of my mirror and checked my appearance.

I then walked downstairs and went to the living room where I saw dad sitting on the sofa. "I'll see you later dad" I said before walking out the front and seeing Emmetts grey jeep. I walked over to the passenger side and climbed in seeing Jasper in the drivers seat. "Lets go" He said before speeding off.

"So where are we going?" I asked and he smiled. "It's a surprise" he replied and I shook my head smiling. Out of the corner of my eye I saw Jasper reach for my hand and I placed it in his as we continued to drive. His thumb stroked my knuckles tenderly and I let out a content sigh. "You have no idea how much I missed you" I said and he turned to me.

"I've missed you so much too darlin" He said as we pulled into a parking spot outside a national forest park. "Climb on" He said as he bent down. I giggled and jumped on his back before he took off into the forest. After a few seconds he leapt into a huge tree and climbed to the very top. I gasped as I looked around at the view.

It was so beautiful! I turned to Jasper and cupped his face in my hands before pressing my lips to his for the first time in months. He wrapped his one arm around my waist holding me to him. We pulled away and he leant his forehead down to mine. "I love you" He said and I smiled. "I love you more"
