I woke up the next morning with a cat laying on my face. I coughed sitting up, there was fur all over my face I brushed it off and moved Phantom to the side trying to breath. I got up and got ready again. I did my hair like I do every morning and made my way to the common room nobody was there, I had totally forgotten that we were supposed to meet outside for our first flying lessons. I grabbed my stuff and ran as fast as I could through the halls past numerous people.

"Sorry!" I called out after pushing someone out of my way. Great, Isabella. Being a stereotypical first year. After making it outside all the first years turned to me and laughed as I bent down out of breath. The children were lined up in two rows standing across form each other in the middle of the grass. The teacher had a pixie cut hair style that was as white as snow. Her name was Madam Hooch.

"Thank you for finally joining us, Ms. Lee." Madamn Hooch rolled her eyes and pointed to a spot besides Neville where two brooms sat on both sides of him. I assumed it was for me.

"Anyway, back to what I was saying, stick your right hand over the broom and say 'up'." She commanded. Children reached their hands over their broom and kept yelling "Up!"

I kept repeating the magic word along with other students. I was beginning to grow frustrated, why wasn't the broom listening to me? I looked around at all the other children to see if I was doing this right. Luckily, none of the other kids had their brooms yet. I watched as Harry reached his hand up.

"Up!" Harry commanded and soon the broom shot up off the ground and into Harry's hand. I looked across from me and saw Draco's broom shot up into his hand.

"With feelings." Madam Hooch ordered. I closed my eyes and sang quietly "Up."

The broom shot up into my hand extremely fast. I looked around me making sure nobody heard or saw how fast my broom listened to me. I broke my main promise to Lucius, but it was fine because nobody heard or saw. I held my broom and watched the other children. I laughed as Ron's broom came up fast and whacked him right in the nose.

"Once you've got hold of your broom, I want you to mount it. Grip it tight, I don't want you sliding off the end." Hooch ordered. Everyone sat on the broom and waited for further instructions.

"When I blow my whistle, I want you to kick off the ground. Hard. Keep your broom steady. Hover for a moment then leaned forward, slightly. And touch back down. On my whistle. Three.. two.." Madam Hooch explained before whistling. The first person up in the air was Neville, he looked like he was struggling. I tried to grab onto him, but I was too short.

"Mr. Longbottom!" Madam Hooch tried to order, as if he could control the broom on his own. Everyone began calling at Neville. Madam Hooch continued to call out his name, Neville began hovering farther away from the group. He flew higher into the sky and farther away from the group.

"Come back down this instant!" Madam Hooch commanded. The poor boy was jerking through the air I was gaining a headache just from watching him. His broom made contact with one of the school brick walls. His broom continued to throw him back and forth across every wall. It switched directions and started heading towards us. Madam Hooch pulled out her wand preparing to stop the broomstick. He came fast at us, we all jumped to the side away from him. He flew through a doorway then back up into the sky. I watched as he lost grip of the broom and got caught on a sharp statue. The only thing keeping him from falling was his robe. His robe began to tear until he was falling. I cried out, fearing for his life. Everyone began screaming as he dropped and got stuck on another sharp object hanging off the castle. He dropped again, but this time landing on the ground. Thankfully the second time he got stuck made the impact less harmful. Everyone gathered around Neville as he silently cried.
