It was almost Halloween, and jack-o-lanterns floated from the ceiling. Instead of the peaceful night sky, a thunderstorm lit the great hall. Lightning struck the sky. It was Halloween, and on every table there was candy or some type of delicious treat. I was still worried about Hermione, I hadn't seen her once since our little talk. I felt bad, I didn't think I helped her very much.

"What are you thinking about?" Goyle laughed, throwing a piece of candy hitting me in the nose.

"None of your business." I glared rolling my eyes in defense.

"Why you little-" Goyle was cut off by Professor Quirrell. I wasn't in any of his classes but I had seen him around. He wore a purple turban covering all of his head, as well as a stutter almost every time he talked.

"Troll in the dungeon!" He screamed running through the aisle towards the Professors who sat at the front of the room. He repeated it many times.

"Thought you ought to know." He stated before passing out on the ground. Lightning struck at the Same time he collapsed, causing all the children to panic. I looked next to me to see Draco on the verge of tears screaming with his eyes wide and mouth open. I knew this was a serious situation, but I held back my laughter.

Dumbledore stood up from his seat to make an announcement:

"Silence! Everyone will please not panic!" Everyone stopped running or yelling. They all turned around to listen to Dumbledore. I could sense the fear in everyone.

"Now, prefects will lead their houses back to their dormitories. Teachers will follow me to the dungeons." Dumbledore stated before allowing us to leave. The Slytherins were lead back to our rooms.

"So how do you think it got in the castle? I wonder if it's ate anyone yet?" Pansy laughed from the other side of the room. I sighed looking down at little Phantom who laid curled up in my lap.

"I don't know Pansy, but I don't think we should be wanting it to eat anyone. What if it ate you?" I replied looking up from my kitten. She just rolled her eyes and looked back at the magazine she was reading. Pansy soon fell asleep. I was left alone with my thoughts. How did the troll get in the school tho? Pansy was right to ask that. Trolls aren't known for their brains, either somebody snuck him in or our staff should really be trained more carefully. I decided to investigate.

I snuck my way out of the common rooms and made my way upstairs. I couldn't see a thing, I racked through my brain trying to remember a certain spell that helped you see in the dark. I yanked my wand out of my pocket and thought for a second before saying:

"Lumios."

Suddenly the end of my wand lit up like a torch. It wasn't too bright that I would get caught. But I was bright enough to see through the dark. As I walked through the corridors I realized that all of the lights were out. Was I too late to investigate? Did they already get the troll and get rid of him. I was beginning to believe that, until I saw the girls lavatory lights on and heard some voices.

"What a fool!" A terrifying snake like voice hissed.

"I'm sorry Master, I had hoped this would have worked. I won't let you down next time." A scared voice promised, I recognized the voice of Professor Quirrell.

"Imbecile!" The other voice hissed with so much hate I couldn't help but flinch and step back. Little did I know how creaky the floors were.

"Somebody's there!" The scary voice hissed before growing quiet. I gasped and undid the spell on my wand to make it dark. I pressed myself up against a wall as I heard Professor Quirrell exit the bathroom. When I caught a glimpse of him, I quietly began to hum a random melody. I closed my eyes and imagined I was invisible and quiet to the world around. I continued to hum but opened my eyes.  Quirrell looked around in confusion, before making his way down the corridor, most likely to his bed chambers.
