The year was growing to end again, this year my grades had remained average. I spent a lot of my time with my nose stuck in a book. My magic was growing stronger. Sadly, I couldn't say the same about my voice. I hadn't practiced once since this year started.
"Hey, Bella! Wait up!"
I spun around with my books clutched to my chest and my hair whirled behind me. I watched as Harry ran through the hall with his robes sliding off his shoulders and his hair messed up and pointing in different places. His glasses were crooked across his face, I giggled as he struggled to run with his ginormous books through the halls. This was Hogwarts new number one athlete, I thought to myself. My laughing stopped as I felt Harry collide with me. He had tripped over his robes and fell right on me. Our books flew everywhere.
"I'm sorry." Harry apologized looking at me with a guilty expression as he pulled himself up and offered me his hand. I gladly accepted and he helped me up. I began to pick up random books. We would figure who's belonged to who after we got out of the center of the hallway. I picked up almost all of the books except one. It was a plain black book with golden trimming along the edges there was a name at the bottom of the book but I didn't read it. When I picked up the book, I immediately felt off about it. The book began to heat up, I couldn't tell if it was actually heating up or I was just thinking it was. I was frozen in place just staring at the book in my hand, I hadn't realized that Harry was watching.
"Bella?" He asked nervously. I lightly shook the daze out of my head and handed Harry the book. Immediately the heat was gone. Harry watched me curiously.
"Sorry, I was just thinking about something." I lied with a smile. Harry easily brushed it off. The two of us walked out of the school until we were in the court yard. We sat down on an old worn down bench.
"Do ever wonder what you're going to do once you get out of here?" I randomly asked looking up at the sky as the sun began to set slowly.
"No, I have no idea what I'm going to do once I make it to my third year." Harry laughed. I looked at him with no expressions. I was serious. I had no idea what my life would be like after Hogwarts. Would I still have my friends? Would I still be seen as a Malfoy?
"What do you want to do then?" Harry asked.
"I don't really know, I've always been fascinated with muggles or justice. But, I know Lucius would never allow me to participate in those lines of work. But maybe if not that, a mediwitch ." I explained looking down with sadness.
"Why do you need his approval, it's your life?" Harry asked squinting his eyes.
"Lucius is like my father, he's raised me since I was born to despise muggles. If he found out I was in anyway interested in them he would disown me. As for working in the ministry and justice. I think I would make a decent auror. But, I don't think Lucius would allow me to work anyways." I sighed looking down at my feet as a few stubborn tears rolled down my cheeks.
"I doubt they will disown you." Harry laughed trying to ease the tension. I stayed quiet, Harry was wrong. He didn't know what they would do to me, he doesn't know what they have done to me.
Later that night I sat brushing my fingers through my hair as I studied my greenhouse text book. I could feel my hair begin to curl slightly. I had to get back to my dorm soon. I had been studying in the library for hours. It was nearly close to two in the morning. I stood up from my seat and began to walk out of the library. It was then that I realized I was the only person left.
As I walked through the corridors I felt a little uncomfortable. I felt as if someone was following me, I took a right and ended up in the Hospital Wing. I don't know why I continued to walk through the hospital wing, I knew it was a dead end. I guess I just wanted to see all the children who had been petrified. As I passed the beds the faces of fear were all I saw. The poor kids had been petrified and were frozen in a state of fear for who knew how long. I walked by many children I recognized. None were in Slytherin, of course. I gasped as I recognized someone I had hoped to never see in this state. Hermione.
She laid in the bed as if she were standing but moved sideways. She held her hand up as if she had been holding something. A face of fear was present on her face just like the other children. I took a step back and bumped into someone. I spun around to come face to face with the youngest Weasley child. I believed her name to be Ginny.
"Hi, your Ron's sister, right?" I asked with curiosity. But something didn't seem right. I felt a vibe from her I had only felt one other time, with Professor Quirrell. Before I could say anything else I grew light headed and fell to the ground. The last thing I saw was Ginny and what looked like the feet of someone else standing behind her.
(Seriously, y'all have either all seen or read Harry Potter I don't need to tell you that Harry is going to go into the chamber of secrets to fight a giant snake and Tom Riddle. After Ginny Weasley went missing in the chamber and the school is gonna get shut down. Lockhart is a fraud, duh, and tries to Obliviate Harry and Ron after they find the entrance to The Chamber of Secrets. Okay, good. Ask any questions in the comments👉)
I woke up to the sound of water dripping from the ceiling. I was laying on cement ground. I was confused on where I was and how I got there? The ground was wet and I felt dirty. I sat up to to see. I looked to the right of me to see little Ginny Weasley unconscious on the ground. I scooted over towards her and attempted to wake her up. Nothing would work.
"She won't wake up, Isabella." A male voice stated from behind me. My head snapped around to see an attractive teenage boy with dark brown hair and beautiful brown eyes. He was probably around sixteen years old. He wore Slytherin robes, but I had never seen him before.
"Who are you?" I asked standing up on shaky legs. The boy looked at me as if I was his next meal. He made me feel weak and frail, I didn't like it.
"I am Tom Marvolo Riddle. And I want you, Isabella Lestrange. To be on my side as your mother was for the Dark Lord!" Tom laughed taking a few steps closer to me until he was inches away from me.
"How do you know?" I asked in a shocked whisper.
"I know everything." He leaned down and whispered in my ear. He was at least a foot taller than me. Which made him even more intimidating.
"And what if I refuse?" I asked smirking as I stepped back and crossed my arms across my chest uncomfortably.
"I don't think you'll want to do that. Soon you will realize who's side you truly belong on." He smirked seductively.
"Where am I?" I asked as I stepped towards him with persistence and anger. I wanted to leave. I was tired of people attempting to use me for my gift or my mother.
"You really can't tell?" Tom mocked. That's when I really looked where I was. It was a long narrow room. On both sides of the walls were giant snake headed that lead up to a giant brass statue of a man with a beard.
"The Chamber of Secrets." I gasped in shock.
