Months had passed and Christmas was coming up. I wasn't that excited, to be honest. I never really enjoyed it, due to me living with the Malfoy's. Christmas was always very dull. Yes, we received loads of presents. But they had no meaning, they were just materialistic items, I never really got what I wanted for Christmas. I think all I've ever really wanted was an actual family member. Somebody, who didn't just use their money to please me. Somebody who would spend time with me. I was taking a stroll around the school, glaring at all of the Christmas decorations. I was dreading to return home for the holidays.
I was already packed and ready to go. Even though I didn't want to. I continued to walk down the many corridors. I was doing a little hum, I focused on taking the magic out of my voice. I was looking down while walking, until I ran into someone. I stumbled back a few feet before looking up to be meeting eye-to-eye with Professor Dumbledore.
"Oh, I'm so sorry, Professor." I apologized rushed trying to brush myself off. I was entirely embarrassed.
"Oh it's fine, dear." He laughed, his laugh almost reminded me of Santa. I hated it.
"Why, I really liked your humming, can you sing?" Dumbledore questioned with a tone I couldn't decipher at the time.
"No sir, I wish though." I laughed playing it off easily. Dumbledore smiled at me, almost like he approved of something.
"Well, have a great Holiday, Bella!" Dumbledore smiled. I didn't even know he knew my name.
"You too, Professor!" I smiled. As soon as I turned my back to him, I frowned. I made my way back to my dorm to see that Pansy and her little gang had all left for their vacation. A few of my bags were packed, but not all of them. I had Phantom strolling behind me, as we walked through the Slytherin corridors.
"Isabella! There you are, father is looking for you." Draco called out from down the hall. The Malfoy's were here on time. I had no idea why they were coming to the school. We could have easily taken the train. I handed Draco my bag and continued to walk down the halls, with Phantom following. As I made it to the court yard, I saw Lucius standing under the pavilion in all black. He looked a little out of place due to the white substance covering everything during this cold time of year.
"Isabella." Lucius greeted with absolutely no emotion, as usual. I was at least expecting a smile this time.
"Draco, lets go. Your mother is expecting us." Lucius ushered Draco. The three of us left Hogwarts heading for home on a different train. After a few hours I walked back into the familiar mansion I had grown up in. I took my bags back from Draco and headed to my room. Where I would spend another Christmas alone. I was exhausted, I just realized my curls had returned. I would leave my hair natural until I return back to school.
After marching up the main stairs I took a left leading me to the last door down the hall, my room. I held my head down as I walked passed the designer carpets and beanbag chairs. I collapsed face first on the soft silk sheets. I closed my eyes softly preparing to sleep. Until I realized. I don't have designer carpets, or beanbag chairs, or even silk sheets.
My head shot up around my room to see my plain carpets had been remodeled into black marble floors with a light pink carpet under a bed that had polls on all four sides connecting to the ceiling. A medium sized chandelier hung from the ceiling above the bed. A portrait of a kiss mark hung crammed behind the bed as well. On both sides of the bed, mirrors surrounded by lights sat straight against the wall. The walls were changed from their classic cream to a neutral white. A beanbag that I had almost tripped over sat off to the side of the room. The room was beautiful I gasped as I spun around taking in the whole view. Suddenly the door flew open and in walked Narcissa with a small smile plastered on her delicate face.
