Before he could respond the rusty sound of a door opening had me turning my attention to the source of the sound. I watched as a robed figure climbed down a ladder into the chamber.

"Bella?"

"Harry?"

Harry began to run down the long aisle toward me. I met him halfway. I turned around half expecting to still see Tom standing there, to my surprise he was gone. All that remained was an unconscious Ginny. He ran to Ginny as I walked, I looked around watching from Tom. Could I have been imagining him?

"Ginny! Ginny! Please don't be dead, wake up!" Harry cried as he shook her body.

"I already tried that." I stated kneeling down besides him. He looked up at me with tears brimming his eyes.

"She won't wake." The voice of Tom Riddle stated from behind us. I knew I wasn't imagining him.

"Tom Riddle? What do you mean she won't wake?" Harry asked in confusion. How did they know each other?

"She's not-" I began to asked but was cut off by Tom.

"She's still alive, but only just." He explained walking up to Harry.

"Are you a ghost?" Harry asked standing up as I still sat over Ginny.

"A memory, preserved in a diary for fifty years."He corrected, I was beyond confused. I was worried about Ginny, I felt her body and tried to figure out what was wrong with her.

"She's as cold as ice." I stated looking up at Harry. He bent back and and felt her forehead.

"Ginny, please don't be dead. Wake up!" Harry pleaded. I couldn't help the small but if jealously I felt. As I saw him worry over Ginny.

"You've got to help us, Tom. There's a basilisk." Harry informed. I knew better, Tom wouldn't help.

"A what?" I asked in confusion turning my attention away from Ginny, finally remembering there was a monster in these chambers.

"A giant snake that will kill you if you look into it's eyes." Harry explained looking at Ginny. If I had wanted to get out of here earlier, now I needed to get out of here. At this moment, I felt that if I saw the snake I would most likely run and leave Harry and Ginny. I was starting to realize why I wasn't a Gryffindor.

"It won't come until it's called." Tom stated from above us. Harry looked up at Tom as did I. I realized that Tom had Harry's wand.

"Give me my wand, Tom." Harry ordered standing up and placing his hand out for Tom to give it to him.

"You won't be needing it." Tom stated.

"We've got to go, we've got to save her." Harry rushed out still believing Tom was going to be on our side. I slowly stood up and pulled Harry towards me.

"I'm afraid I can't do that, you see. As poor Ginny grows weaker I grow stronger. Yes, it was Ginny Weasley who opened the Chamber of Secrets." Tom smirked.

"No she couldn't!" Harry shouted.

"It was Ginny who sat the Basilisk on the Mudbloods and Filches cat. Ginny who wrote the threatening messages on the walls." Tom laughed.
