Chapter Five
Rydel’s POV
Laying in the extremely comfortable hotel bed, listening to music, when someone started knocking loudly on my door.
“RYDEL.” Ross yells.
“What?” I yell back.
“Kylie and Emily are here.”
I hop off the bed and turn off my music.
I sit down on the couch next to the blonde girl.
“Hi, I’m Rydel.”
She smiles, looking slightly sad, “I know, and I’m Kylie.”
I smile back, “Pretty name.”
“Thanks.”
This isn’t an awkward conversation at all. She seemed so energetic at the concert, what happened?
A brunette girl bounces over and sits on Kylie’s lap.
“Uff, get off me you fatty.”
“Calm your face Ky, you’re the one who eats all the skittles.”
“Hush, now get off.” Kylie says and pushes her off her lap, making her fall to the ground.
“What’s got your panties in a twist?” She says, pushing herself off the ground.
“Humph.” Kylie says getting off the couch and walking right out the door.
“Sorry bout that Rydel.” Brunette girl says, sitting in the spot where Kylie was a minute ago. “By the way, I’m Emily.”
“Nice to meet you.” I grin.
She returns the gesture, “Now can you explain why I’m here? Not that I don’t want to be here. It’s just that I’m sure having a fan coming to your hotel room is a normal thing and it’s just kinda weird for me and I’m kinda confused about it and……” A hand went over her mouth.
She must have jumped a mile in the air.
Riker laughs from behind her. “Sorry, I didn’t mean to scare you. Just trying to get you to stop talking.”
Emily glares at him.
He sits on the arm of the couch, next to her.
The rest of the boys come and sit on the floor.
“Where’d Kylie go?” Ross asks.
“Back to or hotel room.” Emily says. I still don’t understand what happened before.
“What happened? And where is your hotel?” Ross has a lot of questions to ask today…
“Long story, for her to explain. I have no right to tell you. And our hotel is right next door.”
The boys and I look at each other and burst out laughing.
Emily’s eyebrows furrow. “What’s so funny?”
“OH MY RIKER!” Riker imitates a girlie voice “I KNOW RIGHT?! HOW COME WE DIDN’T REALIZE THIS BEFORE!!” We all laugh, except Emily who blushes.
“Oh gosh, you heard that?” She says putting her head in her hands.
Riker wraps his arm around her shoulders, “Its ok Em. Its cool to know you guys are should big fans.”
Emily stiffens. She just sits there not moving.
Riker looks at me, I shrug. He unwraps his arm and sits there.
