After dropping off his mother in front of the RiverTech building, Zion kept seated in his car. He wanted to go up with his mother and yell at Ebony for releasing it.

But he needed to just go home and calm down. Having one anger attack today was enough. And man was he angry. His office was ruined, which was part of the reason why he also wanted to go home rather than back to work.

Once he arrived there, Zion took off his tie and shoes before falling onto the couch, face first. And then he yelled into the soft material.

On his way home he kept asking himself what he was going to do. But he came to the conclusion that he couldn't do anything. He was for sure not about to go to the press and talk about everything, even though a lot of people were willing to pay a fortune for the real story. No money was worth that, he knew but it still startled him that people would pay for a good story.

One thing he was going to do was talk to Ebony. Because even though he knew that she was angry after he kicked her out of his office a week ago, he could not understand what she was trying to achieve with releasing that her son was his son as well. Was she trying to get back at him? If so, then she most certainly wasn't the woman he always thought she was.

No good mother would want a scandal like that, not even for revenge. She didn't think about the future. About River growing up and reading the articles. What would happen if she found a man that would love and care for River like a father for the rest of his life. River would've never known he wasn't that man's real child if it weren't for those articles. She ruined it for him too.

The worst thing Zion thought about, was not what would happen if River would realize that his stepdad was not his biological father. It was what would happen once he found out it was Zion. He would never know the truth about how he was made. He would think about Zion as the biggest asshole in the world. He would think Zion never wanted him and although that wasn't exactly wrong, he still didn't like the idea.

He pitied the boy already, even though he was probably the happiest baby in the world. He didn't deserve to be so openly talked about in magazines and newspapers. He was not even a year old, not even able to talk or walk, yet people talk about his business as if it was a game. Zion hated that. He always hated the press but now that they've discussed about his son, he despised them even more.

How can they ruin a child's reputation like that? First he was the son of a successful woman and all of a sudden, he is the bastard of a heartless CEO. Despicable.

Zion sat up again and rubbed his face. He couldn't let the press get to him like that. He needed to relax or else he might just go over there and make an even worse scandal of himself. He could already picture the headings of the next news papers:

Angry Zion Dawsey attacks staff!

Father not happy about his secret being exposed!

Crazy man grabbing press CEO's head before repeatedly banging it against a nearby wall!

Zion shook his head. Not happening. Although it sounded tempting. He stood up from his couch and decided to walk upstairs and get to work. His phone rung and he pulled it out of his pocket. To his surprise, it was Michael. So he figured something happened.

"Yes?" Zion said as he answered the phone. He heard a gulp.
"Um, Sir. I meant to- I was trying to-" Then Michael took a deep breath.
"Are you okay?" Zion frowned when he heard the question.
"I just mean I have never seen you that frustrated and I just wanted to make sure you are safe." Michael hesitantly admitted.

"I'm fine, Michael. Well, I'm safe I guess." Zion was still frowning. He had never talked to Michael about anything other than business.
"I apologize for frightening you, it wasn't my intention. I was frustrated but I'm alright now." He continued.
"Alright- uh, Sir. That is all I wanted to know. And if you need someone to talk to or anything, I'm- I mean I'm-"

"I know, Michael. I appreciate that. But don't worry, I'm fine." Zion said, feeling a strange emotion.
"Alright, Sir." Michael sounded happier now that he was sure his boss was okay.
"Good. You're not getting paid for worrying about me, so go back to work." Zion said.

"Yes, Sir." The two hung up and Zion put his phone back into his pocket before continuing his way upstairs. He went to his office and sat down in front of his computer. He started to write a few emails regarding a future project of his. Unfortunately while he was doing so, his email was getting bombarded by numerous messages. Every second he heard that annoying 'bing' sound and just couldn't figure out how to stop that.

He wanted to block every single one of those who kept asking for interviews or verifications of the rumours. He clicked and clicked and clicked his computer mouse. But they just kept coming and the sound was so irritating.

All of a sudden Zion jumped up and threw his monitor onto the floor. The clicking and the binging immediately stopped and he took a deep breath. He closed his eyes and tried to get some peace. He tried hard not to think about the broken monitor on the floor that he had to replace.

After a minute of trying to get his mind to stop thinking about everything, he shook his head and opened his eyes again. He rushed to his room and changed into sweatpants and black hoodie before walking downstairs. He had to have a run, it always let him take his mind off things. He didn't even care about potential neighbours that could stare him down for what's written in the newspapers about him.

As Zion opened the door, his path was blocked by no other than Ebony Stewart. But before he could react, he felt his cheek press against his teeth hart. The force caused his head to turn left with a groan.

What the hell!?
