His Friend

The next few days had gone topsy-turvy. It turned out that girl was not human, it was a robot. Aida was her name. She was the first robot that Alphys made, built when the scientist was still a teen and was made into a type of matchmaker and protector of love. It was really weird about how come she seemed to obey order by Alphys and Chara only. Then again, when the others found her, she was hugging his sister. Frisk got jealous easily.

They had to deal with how she was now an additional roommate to them. She got into their room and wouldn't seem to leave Chara's side. Alphys just told them it would probably be temporary due to how long she was deactivated before her system function normally. From the looks of it, Frisk couldn't wait.

Though, there was something rather interesting about Aida. Though she was a defender and protector of love, she herself doesn't know how to love. She too lacks a Soul like Flowey. Alphys said she had one before, but Asgore mistook her for a human and tried to take it. It didn't work and the Soul was now lost.

"Hopefully, I'll find it and she could join in the same happiness her couples have" Alphys said one time.

Flowey had been visiting Temmie more often now, and she was happy to see him. She sometimes came over well. There were times they would meet in the park. Frisk thought it would be good for his social life. It was time he made some friends other than the family and Papyrus. It was very unlikely and surprised them all at who it was, but gave hope to the household.

It was crazy when he had to play a part by turning back into Asriel. It was temporary, but worth it. Chara had gone with Gaster after reviving him when Asgore injected her with a vial of HATE that was supposed to be for Sans.

They also found that Frisk was the real one who caused all the Genocides and RESETs. The human had done it when she got bored of Pacifism and blamed it on Chara when she found that some could remember the timelines. She even did it so well that even Chara believed it. Because of that, the demon ran off with Gaster to plot revenge.

They had done a plan that would restore all the Underground's former residents all their memories of every timeline and also of Gaster. It was two for one. Yet, it required Chara almost dying. Gaster had removed the HATE from her, but even then she wanted to go through as she realized that everything she had was a lie. The fact that the very person who claimed to love her was the one who killed all she loved broke her heart.

He was supposed to help them get Chara to stop with a plan to help Gaster but he ended up only comforting her. She was so scared and afraid for so long, and he wanted to help her in this time of need. Frisk was furious at him, but he bravely removed the Soul that changed him into Asriel, preferring to remain a Soulless flower forever than be bound to a liar and murderer.

He wheeled himself away from the scene, biting back the tears that tried to escape his eyes. He was going so fast he didn't realize where he was going until he bumped into someone and fell down.

"Flowey?"

"Temmie!"

She too had come as she was part of a Food Committee. She wore a blue dress and yellow boots on her back paws as yellow gloves hid her front ones. She seemed deeply disturbed and frightened as the memories of the Genocide Routes returned, but was more worried about him.

"Are you okay?"

He burst into tears as he couldn't hold them back anymore. She pulled him into a hug to try and calm him down. She whispered some soothing words to him and kept petting his petals all the while. When he got a hold, he told her that he wanted to go home. She was more than happy to accompany him.

Carrying his small pot on her back, she started for his house. The bright moonlight glowed above them as the stars twinkled. Flowey envied the night. It was so peaceful, tranquil, unlike everything that went on around it. His old tendencies to hate crept up, but due to the Soul fragment in him, he remained able to feel.

They had soon reached Toriel's house. Flowey used his vines to open it from the inside and Temmie went in. She set him down on the couch, finding a warm blanket and lampshade before enveloping the flower with the blanket and turning on the lampshade, making sure it was positioned above him.

"Flowers get warmth from lamps in the absence of sunlight" her speech was fluent, meaning she was serious.

He seemed confused for a bit, but soon felt it settle in. She was right; it was very much similar to the sun. He began to relax a little. Temmie smiled before going to the kitchen. It wasn't long before she came back with two cups, both filled with hot cocoa. He thanked her for the gesture as she sat beside him with her cup. They both sat together in silence, sipping their drinks and trying to get a hold of what had happened.

"Do you wanna talk about it?" Temmie asked.

He decided that he had to. There was no one else around and they were probably all too frightened by Genocide memories as he was the first time. He, Sans, and Chara were used to them, but for everyone else it was the first time and it would scare even Undyne to death. Temmie seemed to have calmed down enough to listen to him.

He began to tell her about the memories, the Pacifisms, the Neutral Routes, the Genocides, and the RESETs. He told her how he was afraid if Frisk RESETs again this timeline. He knew that human was capable of anything, even rising from death it seemed. He had to explain those were what she had seen, what everyone had seen, back in that Prom. She seemed rather troubled, but didn't want to show it.

"I thought Frisk was my friend, our friend. She killed us all, because she was bored. No wonder Chara hated humans" he sniffled before perking up. "Where is she? Where's Chara? What did she do to my sister?!"

He began to sob hysterically, crying out for Chara, wondering where she was. Temmie was trying her best to calm him down once more. She had never seen him cry before. The first time they met, he was cold. Since the Surface, they had been close friends. Now, here they were, on the couch having retreated from a disaster site.

"Sorry I had to tell you all that, Temmie" Flowey sniffled as he pulled back a little.

"It's okay. You have been through a lot. Everyone needs a friend by their side every now and then. You are no different"

He smiled at her kind words. When she spoke like that, it was like she spoke like a true friend. It was nice to know he had someone to confide in and talk to in this time of need.

"Hey, Temmie?"

"Yes?"

"Can you stay here for tonight? I don't wanna be alone"

She chuckled a bit before nodding. She removed her boots and gloves, placing them aside on the floor before curling up beside him as he draped a blanket over them. He then rested his flower head on her own as they both let darkness take them down to sleep. The last thing they saw was each other's faces.

The next morning, the rest of the household awoke to a flower and a cat-dog Monster on the couch.
