Chapter 25:

Quick note~ In this chapter someone new is going to come in...so heads up so its not too confusing!!

Alexandra's p.o.v:
Once we were with the boys they each helped us put the masks on and we were off to the limo. We had it all planned out with the mask on, you really couldn't tell who I was. I just hoped it worked, the last thing I needed was for everyone to find out who I was. Even though I had a bad feeling about tonight, I didn't want to stay behind and not know what Valeria plan was, after all the Messi family was their guest of honor, she is a very smart girl, she knows how to play the game, unlike me who was learning as the game goes on, I couldn't help but feel a little jealous of her. But I couldn't let that stop me not when I was falling in love with Raymond. We may not know each other for long but I hadn't lost all his trust. My chances had just gone up, if I keep this up I'll end up driving myself crazy. But it was show, to late to back up now, after a little while we drove up to the gala...it's show time!! Raymond and Antonio got out first and then helped me and Nina, by then the cameras were going off like crazy!!! I couldn't help but move closer to Raymond, and then of course the questions started on who I was, what did I want with the Messi family... By then Raymond was getting aggravated with them so he quickly moved me away from all them all about ran inside the building with me close behind him. Once we were inside Raymond pulled aside, "Are you okay Alexandra" he asked. "Yes just not used to all the cameras" I said. "You'll get used to it" he told me. "Raymond is it always going to be like this, having to hide away because you don't want people to know who I am... yes it was easy to say that I was your personal assistant what about everybody else I mean how long can we keep this lie up" I whispered back. "Alexandra please don't think that, when the time is right, I'll show you off to everyone, but not now with Valeria back in the picture" he said. After that Nina and Antonio, along with Leonardo and Araceli made there way over to us. "Is everything okay with your assistant Raymond" asked Araceli. "Yes it's just that she's not used to all this, she's still relatively new to all this" Raymond answered. "Oh okay then why don't we make our way to the our table, the speech is about to begin"she said. We all followed her and sat in our seats. The bad feeling I had earlier came back, full force, I reached under the table and held Raymond's hand, at this point I was super nervous again. At the same time Valeria and Araceli along with their parents took the stage, "Good evening ladies and gentlemen, I want to thank you for coming tonight, tonight is a night to celebrate the fact that both of my daughter's are taking over the family company, it has many years since I started and now its time to step down and let my girls take over, with that being said its time for Araceli and Valeria to say some words" said Mr. Montenegro."Hello I'm Araceli Montenegro and I couldn't be more happier to take over  my part of the company, I hope to expand the company and to keep learning to make it better" she said. With that Valeria stepped up, "Hello one welcome everyone thank you for coming, just like my father said, I'm Valeria Montenegro the new CEO of Montenegro Industries, of course just because im a women, doesn't mean that will stop or hold me back, just like my sister said I hope to continue to grow and learn and of course with someone like the Messi family to be close to, ain't that right Raymond" she said while looking at me straight at me. Oh god so that her plan to get close to him again, well they kind of have to if there working together!! All I wanted was to get up and run out of the room, so I excused myself from the table quickly made my way over to the balcony on the other side of the room away from all the guest. I had to get myself together, before going back. I was trying to hold back the tears that threaten to fall, I know, knew that this would never work between us.... I mean how can I compete with someone who he loved... they were about to get married damn it!!!! It was actually a good thing that I didn't find my wedding dress, because if I did I wouldn't have the guts to put it on anymore.... I didn't realize I was crying until someone handed me there handkerchief, I looked up  to see a complete stranger. "Thank you" I whispered. "And why, is such a beautiful lady like yourself crying, if you don't mind me asking" he asked. " It's nothing really" I told him. "Are you, because if it really wasn't then you wouldn't be out here crying" he said. "Your right, just a little overwhelmed that's all, to be honest I'm not used to all this" I answered. "It can be a little hard, but I promise you'll get used to it after a while, well I'm sorry I haven't introduced myself, I'm Matteo Mondragón" he said. "Well it's nice to meet you I'm Alexandra Blu, Raymond Messi personal assistant" I said while shaking his hand. "Well pretty lady, you better get going or your boss is going to have a heart attack if he doesn't find you soon" after that he turned around and walked away. I quickly pulled myself together and made my way over to our table, but before I could make I was pulled behind some curtains. "What in the world" I whispered/yelled. "I'm sorry but I had to make sure you were okay" Raymond said. "Im perfectly fine, just needed air that's all Raymond" I whispered, I gave him a quick kiss and walked out first. He came up behind me guided me to the dance floor.

We started to dance, and all of a sudden of was only me and him, I got lost in his eyes, the way he looked at me made me think, that I was the girl of his dreams, in that moment nothing else mattered but me and him... "Raymond" I whispered. "Mind if I cut in" Valeria's voice came from behind us. "Well of course Ms. Montenegro" I said.
I moved away from them and walked back to the table and sat down. I looked up and saw them dancing, she was making it clear to everyone in the room, that she wanted him back!! What I wasn't expecting was the when she kissed him!! I quickly got up grabbed my bag and ran out. I wanted nothing more then to cry my eyes out, but I had to remember that wasn't my place right now, for I was only the assistant not his fiance. I was mad at myself, her kissing him showed me how much I was really in love with Raymond!!! "ALEXANDRA WAIT" someone yelled. But couldn't I couldn't face  anyone right now, how could he!! Even though she kissed him, he didn't push her away, I can already see the paparazzi having a field day with what just happened.  Once I was outside I took my high heels off and made all but continued to run down the stairs of the building. I quickly got into one of the cabs outside told the man address of the hotel. What was I going to do, all I know is that we have a meeting with the Montenegro sisters tomorrow morning, all I wanted to do was take this dress off and go to sleep and forget this whole night.
