Neo was sitting in Yang apartment, waiting patiently for the blonde by her gym equipment. The small girl was lifting some of the lighter weights, trying to gain a bit of muscle so she could compare better with her crush.
"You'll get nowhere with those little things." Yang commented as she walked in. "You need to strain yourself a little more. Not too much, but enough."
Rather than taking that advice, Neo jumped up and hugged Yang, wrapping her arms around the girl's waist.
"Someone missed me." She chuckled, returning the hug. "I was only gone for a few hours."
Neo smiled to herself, snuggling up to Yang. She'd been staying at the brawler's apartment since their conversation a few days prior. Yang said that Neo could hang out pretty much whenever unless told otherwise. She didn't want to get sexual, but she did say a date might be a possibility.
Neo placed a kiss on Yang's cheek before turning and running off toward the shower.
"Not even gonna ask about the date?" The blonde asked, laughing to herself.
Neo's hands popped out of the bathroom. Nope.
"Fine, just get cleaned up. I'm gonna go to bed." She said, walking out of view.
Neo stood in the bathroom, slightly upset that Yang went out with someone else, but that person wasn't invited to stay over, so obviously they weren't nearly as important. That was a thought that made her happy.
Looking over at the mirror, she frowned at herself, left hand reaching to feel her neck.
"What if I could just tell her how I feel? Use words. Tell her my thoughts."
But that was not something that could ever happen, so constant cuddles and loves and inappropriate touches would have to do.
Neo smile to herself, turning on the hot shower and getting in to clean off. She didn't sweat often, but she also wanted to always smell her best around Yang. That's not weird. Stop thinking so hard about it, it's completely normal.
Afterwards, she threw on a pink bra and underwear set, and ran over to the bedroom, hopping onto the lump in the bed.
"Ow..." Yang groaned. "That seemed unnecessary..."
Neo snickered to herself before squeezing under the covers and cuddling up to the blonde. I feel it was for the best.
"You're such a weirdo." Yang commented, placing a light kiss on her head. "You're lucky I love you for it."
That sentence would repeat in the small brunette's head for the entire next day, forcing the biggest smile in the world onto her face.
"That smile is getting creepy." Ruby stated. "What's up?"
Oh, nothing too special. Neo replied off handedly. Get it?
Ruby rolled her eyes. "That's what people say when it was super duper special."
The small girl looked around the quiet shop before running up to Ruby. The girl I'm with told me she loves me!
Her eyes lit up. "Oh my Oum! That's amazing! You've gotta introduce me to this girl!"
You already know her. Neo replied, smirking.
"I do?" Ruby asked. "Who is it?"
I'm not gonna say. The tiny girl signed, smiling innocently. You'll just have to wait and see.
"Oh come on! You can't leave me hanging like that, I'm your best friend!" The girl with red tips complained.
Well that ain't getting you any further details. Neo replied.
The bell rang as Weiss walked in, looking a little less excited than usual.
"How'd your meeting go?" Ruby asked, leaning over and kissing the woman's cheek.
Weiss shrugged a response. "It was weird seeing dad again. He's still a prick."
"Unsurprising." Ruby added simply. "Well at least it's over."
"Yup." Weiss muttered to the side, then turned to her girlfriend. "Can I stay at your place for awhile."
The short haired brunette raised a brow. "Well yeah, obviously. But why wouldn't you just stay at your place? We both know it's nicer than mine."
"I just can't stay in it right now." The ivory girl replied. "Doesn't feel right."
Ruby threw her arms around Weiss' shoulders and smiled. "You know you can always stay at my place. But I make no promises about it being clean."
"I expect nothing less than spotless, Miss Rose." Weiss laughed.
You two make me sick. Neo commented, prompting the businesswoman to give Ruby a questioning look.
The girl with red tips rolled her eyes. "We make her sick. Too adorable for her impure thoughts."
I hate you both.
The bell rang again and Nora walked in holding a large box. "Why do you hate them, Neo?"
Weiss threw a look at the smaller girl. "You actually said that about us?"
I only say what is true. Neo replied.
"We're being too cute for the little one to handle." Ruby said, explaining to Nora.
The great box holder nodded. "She's jealous that you guys are taking her spotlight."
"You gonna tell us what's in the box?" Ruby asked. "It better not be a head."
Nora started giggling and snorting as she set down the cardboard carrier. "Nah, just every issue of Battle Quest."
Weiss sighed softly. "And you brought it here, why?"
"So I can read while working. I've gotta catch up." The ginger replied.
"I hope you're joking." Weiss muttered.
"I never joke about Battle Quest."
The snowy haired woman shook her head. "Of course you don't."
The sound of the over door bell rang again, instantly making Neo narrow her eyes in aggravation.
"Hey there, Ruby." Blake greeted as she walked in.
