"I need to keep going... or this will just be harder and harder to say."

Neo tried to frown at Yang's touch, but couldn't help but enjoy her hands.

"I treated you like garbage... like you weren't a strong and beautiful woman that deserves the world." Yang said simply. "But you are strong, and so very beautiful, and you deserve so much better than my crappy apology."

Neo shook her head. She's been spending two weeks just trying to get over Yang to to get herself to a place where she could work. She hasn't been doing well, but she hasn't stopped trying to forget the gorgeous blonde...

"You deserve someone that'll be able to love you. Love you like you love them." She said. "And that isn't me at all."

The small girl fought her tears. She didn't need to hear this again.

"I love you, Neo. I love you and I want to keep you in my life, just..." The blonde hesitated. "Not like that."

Neo pulled her hands away. I don't care! I don't need you, and I don't care what you say anymore! She signed, feeling hot droplets falling from her eyes.

A gentle touch moved them away and turned her face towards Yang.

You can't say you don't care. It's ok to care, even when you don't want to.

Neo blinked, trying to register what just happened. Her hands moved up so she could reply, but they wouldn't move, still as her thoughts were.

"I started learning pretty recently." Yang admitted, looking down slightly. "Not very good at it, but... I thought it was time I figured it out."

The smaller girl wrapped her arms around Yang, still crying while holding on, and the blonde replied by holding Neo close to her.

"I'm so sorry for everything I've done to you... I hurt you so much, and I'm sorry." She said calmly, tightening her hold on the girl. "I didn't realize how much you meant to me until I hurt you..."

Neo shook her head, pulling back quickly. It's ok... I understand why things turned out like they did.

"Doesn't mean it's fine though..."

Treat her better.

Yang looked at Neo's face in surprise.

Treat her better than you did me, and everything should be fine. The heterochromatic girl repeated. And don't be a bitch.

The blonde nodded. "Fine, I'll try an not be a bitch."

Don't be a bitch.

"No promises."

The two of them sat together, still watching and holding onto each other, struggling not to do something they'd regret. They couldn't keep going, no matter how much both of them wanted it.

Yang stood up, clearing her throat. "I-I should probably go. I've got work tomorrow, and I don't wanna stay out too late."

Right, yeah... Neo coughed, looking away with pink on her cheeks. Don't forget our talk.

"I got like half of that, but I won't forget." The blonde replied, making her way to the door.

Yang walked out of the building and down the sidewalk, thinking about how her life has changed in the past months. She way a player and didn't really stick to any one person. Then Neo started finding a place in her heart. Then Blake. And now she has an actual girlfriend and is just with her.

But she can't stop thinking about both of them...

"I'm home!" Roman called as he walked into the apartment. "You ok?"

Neo was sitting on the couch, texting furiously to an unknown number, and Torchwick couldn't help but be both confused and concerned.

"Who are you talking to?"

Ruby. She quickly signed for the gemstone.

Roman hesitated for a moment. "You ok? Are you talking about Yang..?"

Neo set down her phone and raised a brow at the ginger. Bitch please, I just need work hours and she's my boss.

Roman smiled softly. "There's the Neo I know and love."

The small girl rolled her eyes. Shush you, I never left.

The man nodded, chuckling to himself and he jumped on the couch and booted up his game system. "If that's the case, then you should still be awful at Fauna Fighters."

Neo snickered, but grabbed a controller anyways, her mind still latching onto the blonde who came to remind her she was worthy.

Yang.

"Yang."

"Yang, please."

"YANG!"

The lilac eyed woman snapped to reality as she saw Ruby struggling with a bunch of large boxes.

"Woah there, careful." She laughed, taking a few of them. "What's all of this stuff?"

"It's the restock shipment." Ruby said as she continued towards the back room. "I buy in bulk for anything non perishable."

"And you get million pound cardboard boxes in bulk for doing that." Yang commented.

The brunette with dyed tips glared playfully at Yang, setting down her cargo. "Yeah, whatever. You know, Neo finally texted and said she was coming back." She mentioned. "You have anything to do with that?"

The blonde smiled to herself, but shook her head and she stacked the rest of the boxes. "Nah, she probably just got bored with her extended vacation or whatever."

Ruby nodded, knowingly smiling towards Yang. "Right, I could see that."
