Yang opened her eyes, instantly realizing that she was in a hospital room.
"I'm here way too often..." She muttered, sitting up to get a good look around the room.
Ruby and Weiss were knocked out in an armchair, cuddled up to each other, but it was Neo that took the blonde off guard.
The small woman was sitting, her back resting against the hospital bed that Yang was in, a small notebook in her hands as she softly snored.
"Dork." Yang whispered softly, pressing the button to call a nurse over.
The door opened up, a stout woman peaking in with a smile. "Look who's finally awake."
"Can I get a blanket for this idiot?"
The woman smirked. "Sure think, honey."
"Oh, umm..." Yang hesitated, looking for the right words. "Is... Is Blake Belladonna ok..?"
Taking a few steps forward, the nurse let out a sigh. "That lady has been demanding to see you for about three hours straight. Her blond friend actually had to convince her not to get out of bed to find you."
The busty blonde smiled to herself. "Sounds like my Blake..."
"You wanna go see her? Check up on how she's doing?" The nurse asked.
Yang raised a brow. "Can I do that?"
The woman shrugged. "You don't have any serious injuries, so as long as you have someone with you, it should be fine."
Within the next few minutes the tall blonde was on her way down the hall with Ruby, who woke up just before Yang left.
"I'm so glad you're ok." She laughed. "When someone drops from exhaustion, you don't really expect then to just get back up."
"Yeah, but I'm tougher than that." The brawler replies, shoving Ruby slightly.
The brunette glared playfully over at her sister. "Just 'cause I can't hit you back doesn't mean you can start abusing me."
"Why not?"
"Blake'll beat you up." Ruby reasoned, turning and slowly opening the door to her room. "You'd beat up anyone bullying me, right?"
The raven haired woman rolled her eyes. "What are you talking about, Ru~"
The sight of Yang walking in behind made Blake freeze, a mixture of shock and intense need in her eyes.
The blonde ran over without a second of hesitation, the two embracing as tears fell, neither saying anything nor needing to fill the silence.
Yang finally pulled back, looking her lover in the eyes. "Hey there."
"Hey." Blake whispered back, moving in for a tender kiss.
They didn't need anything but each other and that one sweet tender kiss.

"Where are the rest of your people?"
Adam sat silently, his wrists locked to the table.
"Where are your safe houses?" Captain Khan asked, her voice monotone and controlled.
"Do you ever wonder why people do what they do?"
Khan waiting for a moment, expecting for the man to continue speaking, to clarify what he was talking about.
"Most people just do it because they have nothing else to do. Because someone told them to do it." He said, looking down at his hands with his gray, dead eye. "You wanna know why I do what I do?"
Sienna hesitated, not sure if she'd like the answer. "Why?"
Adam looked up, his gray eye piecing through her as his glared with a cold fire. "I do it because I love my job. I hurt people. I get things done." He growled. "And some chains ain't gonna me from doing that."
"Actually, they will." The captain said, standing and pushing in her chair. "Especially the Atlas supermax that you'll be locked up in. Apparently they've been trying to get you for awhile. Lucky us."
She left the White Fang leader with a look of rage and fire on his face, wanting only for the execution of everyone in the building.

Yang waiting out front of he hospital with Blake, looking out for the little red hybrid that her sister was picking them up in.
"I think that's enough adventure for no, don't you?" The raven haired girl commented.
The blonde nodded, a smirk on her face. "Yeah, you've got that right."
"No more crazy drama or politic."
"Agreed."
"Yup."
The two stood for a moment, complete silence around them.
"I give it a week."
"Hopefully we get that long." Blake laughed, taking her girlfriend's hand in her own. "I'd like some time to rest and slow down."
"You want me to go slow?" Yang asked in confusion.
A little red car pulled up in front of them before Blake could answer, cutting that conversation short.
"You're lucky that I'm so nice to you, Yang Xiao Long." She said, standing to get into Ruby's car.
"You guys feeling alright?" The red tipped girl asked. "No parts missing?"
"Nah, we're good, Rubes." Yang replied, getting in next to Blake. "Just a little sore. Gonna take some time to heal up."
"I'm going to have a pretty cool scar after all this." Blake commented, feeling the bandages over her stomach.
"It's a battle scar. Battle scars are sexy." The blonde added.
The raven haired businesswoman rolled her eyes. "You'd know everything about battle scars."
"You're not denying it."
Blake smiled softly, looking down. "I didn't say you were wrong..."
That's that, another story down.
Not as long as her sister story, but I feel like Burning Hearts was fairly successful considering that I've never been one to focus on Bumbleby or other Yang ships.
A little weird in the crazy jump from romance drama to HOLY SHIT, EXPLOSIONS EVERYWHERE, but I'm not so good at my job, so it's what you got.
Well, I hope you enjoyed every step of the way. Don't forget to vote and share.
As always, I am yours truly and forever,
