What Just Happened?

" What you mean? It feels like a great day."

I guess I'm just paranoid. My gut feelings are never wrong but I don't want Noah to be worried.

"It's nothing. I guess I'm just paranoid."

We walk to the car and get in. I buckle my seatbelt and so does he.

I turn the radio on and our favorite song comes on. It's Do Better by Lil Donald. This song can get you through some shit.

It reminds me of so much shit. 'You don't deserve that and you can do better. That's what I think everyday my mom stays with that man. Nothing but a waste, but nothing bad today. I just want to have fun with my friend and forget everything from this week.

We ride the rest of the way singing and cracking jokes till we got to the best mall ever. NorthLake Mall. They have everything here. Even a book store. Coming down here was always the best.

We drive up to the parking garage and look for a parking. The mall must be packed because we end up parking a level down from the top. Noah finds a parking closest to the door then parked the car.

"Wait. Do you even have money?"

Shit! I slowly look in my phone case. I usually keep my card or some money in there. I saw my card. Oh what a relief.

"Yeah I got money."

I took out my card and waved it in his face, with a big old smile.

"Good but I would've still brought you stuff."

I give him a small smile then jump out the car and stretch. It's been a while since I've been to this mall. We walk to a near doo that leads inside the mall and when we walk through the door the first thing we see is a statue of a butt. Not even a good butt. Like a old lady's wrinkled saggy butt. I'm guessing we walked in the lady's side of a underwear store.

We quickly walk through the store to the front awkwardly. Like what the fuck did we just see. I look at Noah and we burst out laughing. Like What-The-Fuck!

"Next time let's check what store we walking into." I say to him still laughing a little.

"Yeah."

We walked around a little until we came into a merchandise looking store for nerds. It had Marvel, DC, Anime and some boy bands. Really old ones. I immediately walked over to the anime side, and Noah disappears in the manga library.

Time for more merch shopping. I go to the side with Dragon Ball Z all on it. I wasn't into it until Apollo started watching it and I watched it with him.

I see a DBZ hoodie with half of it Goku and the other half being Vagetia. Then there was blue lightning in the background making it dramatic. I want this hoodie right now. I look at the price and it's $20. That's not that bad.

I go to the check out line and Noah's back with a shirt and a new manga for Tokyo Ghoul. We ring our stuff up together and pay. We walk around the mall for another hour or so.

"Noah let's get some food. I'm hungry." He nods his head and we walk to the food court. It smells so good. What should I get?

"You tryna get some Chinese food?" Noah asked.

"Sure." We walk over to the Chinese food place. I get the shrimp fried noodles and Noah gets shrimp fried rice.

"Wait make sure there's no onions." Noah's allergic and he usually forgets.

"Oh shit, I forgot." Good thing there wasn't any in the food. We walked to find seats and started to eat.

As we were eating I saw Demain and his little friend group. Shit I haven't been replying to him since this morning. I don't hide but stay sitting up. If he sees me oh well.

"Athena? Is that you?" I look up at him with a smile.

"Hey baby!" It's not like I'm cheating but it feels weird. I get up and hug him and kiss his cheek.

"This is my friend Noah. He let me stay at his house when my parents kinda kicked me out." Noah stood up and offered his hand to Demain.

"Thanks for letting my girl stay at your house." Noah nod his head and we stood there in silence for a minute.

"We were eating so you want to join us?" Demain nods and I sit back in the booth with Demain and Noah sits across from us.

We ate and I gave Demain some of my food. When we finished me and Noah were about to go to a park or somewhere else and Demain was gonna stay with his friends.

"I'll see you on Monday, baby." He kissed my forehead until he heard...

"Well look at this little slut, having a boyfriend but is seen with two others."

We looked back and he's back again. Giving me hell and about to get his ass beat.
