Boys Are A Pain Pt. 1

After breakfast first and second period went by fast. Already lunch time. Since Jake and I were in the same class we waited for our little group if you wanna call it. Our 'group' is me, Jake, Amber, Jaylen, and Sabastian. We went to find a little table for us. Once seated I drapped my legs across Jake to get comfortable. I always do this so he use to it.

'We didn't take any pictures today.' So I got up and pulled Jake with me.

"Athena, where are we going?"

"We need to find Amber. There are 0 pictures of us being badasses today." Jake shook his head and chuckled. We linked arms and continued looking around for her. We ended up by her last period class. No one was in their though.

"Where is this girl? We only have 20 more minutes." Jake shrugged and we gave up looking. 'We can just take them after school.' In the cafeteria we saw all of them sitting at a table.

"We were looking for y'all. Anyway nevermind but my house after school. We need hella pictures."

"How about mine there is this nice opening I found. Has the best lighting ever. See." She handed me her phone with a picture of her. The lighting was literally perfect and the secerny looked really good.

"Okay Amber's house after school." We all ate lunch and then it ended. Time for two more classes then hell ends. All that's left is art and biology. I don't have anymore classes with Amber and Jake so fuck me. I walk into art class and there's a sub. Life is so nice sometimes. I sat down and went scrolling on my phone. Then a texted popped up. It was from Noah.

N- wanna talk when u get home

I can't, im going to amber's house

N- o then another time

Sure.

That has got to be the most awkward conversation I've had to have with Noah. I continued to stay on my phone till another texted appeared. It was from Demain this time. I haven't opened his text since the day he cheated. Do I even want to?

'Here's go nothing.' I clicked on his chat and there were 50 messages from him. I scroll through and it was stuff like sorry, calling me my nicknames and reasons why he did it. Oh my gosh. This is just embarrassing. His most recent text wasn't any of that though.

D- i thought on what u said about starting over and im gonna try.

'Is he really? Or will he give up?' I thought before I finally texted.

Talking to him now brings back my attitude. I needed to get out of that. Since most of the class skipped, it was quiet. So very peaceful on my end. That class went by fast and now last class of the day. Biology.

I went inside late since I went to the restroom. The only seat open was next to Duke and I rather die. Shoot me. Let me drink bleach. Hit me with a bus. Kill me.

"Is there anyway I can sit somewhere else?"

"You came in late miss, have a seat." Thank you so much teacher. Your officially my favorite teacher. I slowly walked towards the seat next to Duke. Dreading every step.

'Can this suspense be enough to kill me? I hope so. Let me have a anxiety attack or something.' I sat down and never looked at him once. I wanted this to end quickly but at last my luck ran out. As my teacher gave us partner work and my partner is none other than Duke.

'Can you just give me all the drugs? I won't mind dying today.' The assignment is doing a worksheet together. More like a packet and she said it will take 3 class periods and we might have to work together afterwards.

'When did all my luck run out?'

"Sweetie, since we gonna need hella time for this I can come over to your house or you to mine."

'I honestly rather make out with a cactus.'

"Well there's a library, how about that?" I rather not take you home with all the shit happening.

"Okay where ever you want. I just wanna spend time with you." I roll my eyes and look at the packet. It's so thick. This is gonna take a long time.

'Who possessed my teacher to give us this much work?' I internally cried for a minute. We started working and we weren't even doing that. Well I was, Duke on the other hand was just trying to talk to me. I have zero interest in talking if it has nothing to do with the assignment. Then he snatched the packet away from me.

"What the hell are you doing?"

"Taking away this work so I can have your full attention." Bitch.

"Duke, I don't like you nor do I wish to be your partner. Give me back the packet so I can finish." He still held on the packet. As much as I wanna not do this assignment it will hold to much on my grade.

"Fine Duke. Let's make a compromise. If we finish this packet early then i'll spend the whole day with you, but no touching or stuff like that. Deal?" He thought for a second then answered.

"Deal but I get to say it's a date."

"Fine." We shook hands and he gave me back the packet. This time actually helping me. By the end of class we finished 4 pages. These pages were long so 4 is a lot. This deal isn't going to be so bad.

When class finally ended Duke took the packet and said he was gonna work on it. I let him then packed up my stuff and left the class to hurry and find Amber and Jake. I found them in the parking lot next to a car which I've never seen before. Sabastian and Jaylen were there too. Must be one of their cars.

"So no bus today? Also whose car?"

"It's Jaylen's car. He said he can give us a ride to my house. Also him and Sabastian are joining at my house today." Amber said while Jaylen held her close to him. Awww, and Jake and Sabastian were all cuddled up together too. AWWWW.

"Fuck all you guys. I'm single, I'll gladly be hugging my pizza." We all laughed then made our way to Amber's house.
