Shady House Pt. 2

I left the hospital at like 8. I got back on the bus to get home and when I got home everyone was there again. What the fuck? I walk in and this time everyone is in the living room. I see my sisters and brother, mom and dad. Even Coco was laying by the stairs. Then there was this lady who I had seen a few times when I would be with my dad.

"Hey everyone. What's going on?" Everyone looked at each other like they were deciding who was going to tell me.

"Well fine i'll tell her." Iris said. "Mom and Dad are getting divorced." Okay. I'm not that surprised. I always felt like they already were.

"Explain." My parents looked at each other still not speaking. "No one wants to explain? Fine i'll take my leave then. Come on Coco." As I started to walk away Iris spoke again.

"Dad cheated. Mom doesn't want to be with him anymore." Still not surprising. He has always been so secretive finally getting caught, huh.

"Wow. This lady is the one he cheated with i'm guessing." Iris nodded her head. "To ashamed to speak about what you did, dad?" My parents know how I get with this stuff. I can't handle it mentally. It messes me up so bad I can't function.

My dad doesn't respond and I give up. I'm done. I take Coco upstairs and leave.

"Wait Athena." It was my dad. I walked back down to see what he wanted to say.

"Yes?" Everyone is looking at me, as if I was gonna break any minute. I was but crying in front of my family isn't a option. They won't ever be. Only Coco can see.

"I'm sorry."

"No i'm sorry for her. Your only going to do the same thing again to her. I don't care anymore. Just leave me alone for a bit." I look at them with tears in my eyes. I give up literally. I go up to my room and Coco follows.

I get my phone and was about to text Noah but he might still be with Rosie. I'll tell Amber and Jake. I need them.

'Amber. Jake. I need you guys.'

A:What's wrong?

J:What's up?

'My parents are splitting.'

A & J: I'll be there in 5 minutes.

'Thanks'

It's 10:24 and in less than 5 minutes Jake and Amber are outside my house. Amber still in her pj's and Jake in some jeans and a shirt. I go back downstairs to let them in. When I go down everyone watches me walk to the door and let them in. As soon as they come in i'm in a hug. I love these bitches so much. We don't pay attention to no one in the room and walk back to mine.

"So Athena you good?" said Jake while plopping on my bed on his stomach.

"Jake i'm always good. I just needed my second family." I go and sit on his butt while Amber sits in my chair by my desk.

These two people feel like my second family. Noah is part of it too. Like a older annoying brother. Amber is my sister and Jake is my brother. My second family. My life line when my main acting like shit.

"How Demain?" asked Amber.

"Wait what happened to Demain?" Oh shit I guess Jake never found out.

"He got into a accident and was pretty messed up. He's doing fine. The doctor said about a month then he will be all healed up. I think he'll be able to leave in 2 weeks."

"That's good to hear. Now it's 10: 47 Athena. We sleeping over or going home? Your call."

"Amber you guys sleeping over. Do you guys want to watch a movie or something else?"

"Hmmm. We got school but I don't give a fuck. Let's watch some movies." Jake always down for shit. Then Amber came and sat next to jake and I slide in between them. I'm like the baby of the group always need to feel surrounded.

I cut on my t.v. and we go on Netflix to find something funny. I need some comedy right now. We watch some stand up comedy and laugh our butts off. When it was done Jake picked another movie but I was so tired I fell asleep in between Jake and Amber.

White is everywhere. Family and friends sitting in chairs as I walk down the aisle. My wedding and the guy waiting at the end is Demain wearing a black suit. I walk up to him and he takes my hand. Then the pastor asked.

'Do you take Demain as your husband?'

'Yes' Marrying the guy I love for life yes I would.

'Do you take Athena as your wife'

'No why would I want that thing as my wife. To live with me? Hell no.'

'Wait what? Demain I thought you loved me.'

'Don't get me wrong I do but not enough for this. Don't you remember what you did to me?'

All of sudden Demain has on a leg cast and arm cast. No. It wasn't my fault. Stop it. Then everyone is gone it's just me in a wedding dress in a white room. Every wall had Demain's face. Screaming hateful things.

'You did this to me.'

'I could never trust you again'

'Leave me alone'

'STOP!'

Then I shot up awake with a little sweat. It was a dream. Good thing I didn't wake up Amber and Jake. Wait where is Jake? He was next to me when I fell asleep. Amber was still here. I looked over the edge and he was on the floor with a pillow, blanket and Coco. I check my phone and it was 5:25. I had five minutes before my alarm will go off, so might as well get up. Wait, they don't have a change of clothes. Amber can wear mine but Jake? Good thing he's a walk away. We'll just walk over when me and Amber done.

I go brush my teeth and bath by the time I come back Amber already is dressed and is on her phone while Jake is just sitting waiting.

Well let me hurry up so we can go let Jake get ready.
