New Feelings?

Ever since that dream I just thought on it.

'Do I like, like Noah? I've always had feelings but maybe my feelings are way more then I'm thinking they are.' It's the day I've agreed to go to the park to talk to Demain. This dream with Noah has been weighing on my mind. I didn't tell him about it but I feel like I should.

"I'm at the park, see you when you get here." I sighed and started to walk out. I got to the park and Demain was on the swings. I sat next to him and started swinging.

"Hey."

"Hey." This is awkward.

"Athena, I just want another chance please. I know you don't have to take me back. What I did was bad but please look past it. It won't happen again I promise. Just please."

"You're right. I don't have to take you back, so why should I this time? You cheated right? Why should I forgive that?"

"Because I want to make it right. You didn't deserve that. I'm an asshole for doing it too. I love you yet I did that and I'm so sorry Athena. I still love you a lot, I just want a second chance to make it right. Give you the guy you deserve."

"Why did you do it? Was I not enough for you? Did I lack somewhere that she gave you?" I stopped swinging and looked at him. He turned away from me and faced the ground.

"Look at me Demain. Tell me." He turned back to me and there were a few tears until he quickly tried to wipe them away.

"I did it because..." Then he went silent.

"Nevermind, don't answer that. I rather not hear it again." I stood up from the swing and walked over to the slide I sat at the bottom and laid back. I heard him walk over and soon he was hovering over me.

"What?"

"I honestly want to be with you. I can promise nothing like this will happen again. I love you and hope you can take me back. So what do you say Athena. Will you give me another chance, princess?" Athena he cheated, does he deserve one? He never does anything like this, and you know he sticks to his promises. Maybe I can give him another chance. Athena once a cheater always one. He won't do it again it's Demain. He's Demain yet he did it. You still love him, give him another chance.

"You have one more chance." His face lit up and he kissed me. He pulled away and helped me up. We started to his car hand in hand.

"You lucky I love you this much." He chuckled and shook his head.

"No. I'm lucky to have you. A wonderful girl with a big heart." He kissed my forehead and opened my door to let me in. He drove me home and left. I went to my room and thought of everything that just happened.

'So me and Demain Date again. Wow. Wait Noah. I should tell him.' I looked at my phone and it was just there. 'Should I tell him now? He should know. Not today let's tell him tomorrow.' I decided on telling him tomorrow. 'I should invite him over. I don't wanna say it over text.'

I took out my phone and went to text him.

Me- aye tryna come over tomorrow

N- sure what for

Me- i wanna talk to u

N- what about

Me- ill tell u tomorrow

N- ight see u

Me- ight

'I'm really gonna have to tell Noah tomorrow. He really likes me and I think I do too. No I can't I like Demain. Noah is just my best friend. Only my best friend, right? Ughhh let's stop thinking about this.' I'm about to open Netflix when a message pops on my phone.

D- Thank you so much for giving me a second chance. I love you so much, Princess. Never forget that.

Me- I know, u home?

D- yeah. Just chilling and thinking of you

Me- that's nice

D-yeah

Me- yeah. I'll ttyl I'm feeling tired

D- okay. Have a nice sleep

Me- thanks bye

D- bye

I shouldn't have lied like that but I don't feel like talking. It's not even late only 9 o'clock. I laid down and tried to sleep. I went to sleep and no dream just darkness. I woke up suddenly and it was 3 in the morning.

'Can't sleep anymore.' I left my room and checked on my mom. She was asleep and so is Iris. I went downstairs to get a snack. I looked in the cabinets and there was some gummies and chips. I grabbed one of each and poured some grape juice. I stayed in the kitchen and sat on the counter to finish. When I got done I cleaned the cup the juice was in and threw away my trash. I started feeling sleepy and headed to my room. When I got to bed I was able to quickly go back to bed.

"Is you dead? Athena? You good?" I was woken to Iris tapping me. I looked at the time on my phone and it was 1:30 in the afternoon.

'What the fuck? Where did the time go?' I stretched and got out of bed.

"Noah downstairs by the way. He been waiting for you to get up. " Iris said laying on my bed playing on her phone.

"Okay." I went in the bathroom to pee and brush my teeth. I was feeling sticky so might as well shower too. When I got done I quickly got ready in some black basketball shorts, a blue sports bra and a black T-shirt. I went downstairs and saw Noah but also a guy I've never seen before.

"Hey Noah. Sorry it took me so long, had to get ready."

"It's fine." I looked over to the other man sitting and he smiled to me.

"Sorry but do you know me?"

"Yeah. Let me introduce myself I'm Luke. I'm the man who's dating your mom." He reaches his hand out and I shook it.

'Oh so this is him. Mhmm seems nice. Nice brown hair. Didn't know mom had a thing for white dudes. Good fashion sense by the looks he's a nerd. Must have a good job too.' I just evaluated this whole dude.

"Nice to meet you. I'm Athena. Noah let's go to my room. See you around Mr. Luke." Me and Noah went upstairs to my room.

"So what did you want to talk about?"

'Here goes nothing.' I took a deep breathe. "Yesterday me and Demain talked and I decided to give him another chance so now we go back out." Noah's face looked so sad. 'I did that to him.' It felt like I just crushed him.

"Noah, I'm still here. You're not gonna lose me. We're still best friends right." He gave me a small smile and nodded.

"Yeah we are. Just damn, thought I actually had a chance this time." That made my heart flutter. I don't know why but it did.

"Let's get off this topic. Wanna do anything today?"

"How about the zoo or aquarium?" I haven't been to either in a while. Maybe the Aquarium the zoo stinks.

"Aquarium." I went downstairs to ask my mom who was in the kitchen.

"Mom can me and Noah go to the Aquarium?"

"Sure, but you have to take Iris and her little friend." Why?

"But mom-"

"No. It's either you take her or you can't go." Fine.

"Okay we'll take her. I'm gonna go get ready." I went upstairs and told Iris and her friend to get ready then went in my room to tell Noah the new change.

"We can go but we have to bring Iris and her friend. Is that okay?"

"Yeah she's cool. It's fine."

"Great now get out so I can change." He smirked as he got up.

"Not like I haven't seen it already." This boy is such a flirt I swear.
