"Mom, me and Demain are going up to my room." Before she can say anything I drag Demain up to my room with Coco following.

When we get to my room I let go of Demain and fall on my bed backwards. He comes and sits next me and I move my head on his lap.

"Athena?"

"Yes?"

"Are you mad at your dad? I saw the look you gave him at IHOP, you okay?"

"Not gonna lie I was, but now i'm disappointed. It's been months and it's like we don't exist. Just sends us money and be on his way. I thought he would want to be closer but I guess I was wrong." I was tearing up a bit. I'm a crybaby okay, small shit hurts my feelings.

"It's okay, babe." He picks me up like a baby and sits me on his lap.Then wipes my eyes.

"It's okay Athena." He pulls me into a hug and I rest my head on his shoulder. We sit for a bit till I get my life together.

"So babe your birthday is in a week, what are you doing?" December 3. It's November 26 now.

"House party. So you have to come."

"Wouldn't miss it for the world babe. Your gonna turn 18 plus your a senior. Who also plays many sports, is hella smart and has a nice body. All the girls must be drooling over you."

"They do but I got my girl right here."

"Ewwww your so corny." I laughed getting off his lap and grab my remote to go on Netflix. I get back on my bed and cuddle next to him.

"Since you wanna be corny time for corny chick flicks to match."

"We are not watching that."

"Oh we are." He tries to take the remote from me but I stretch it away. He grabs me and tries to take it. He may be strong but my grip is stronger.

"Wait oww oww."

"Oh shit you okay, Athena?"I get up and run to the door.

"Of course I am." I gave him a smirk and then I ran down the stairs while Demain was not far behind. I got to the kitchen and my mom was in there, so I used her as a shield.

"Mom! Help! He's tryna take the remote!" Demain was trying to grab me from around my mom. But I was to fast and dashed past him to the living room. Then he picked me up around his neck and slammed me o the couch.

"Damn John Cena. Didn't have to go all WWE on me."

"Knowing your crazy ass I did. Now hand it over." He reached his hand out for the remote and I complied.

"Fine you win."

" Good now we are gonna watch corny chick flicks."

"YOU ASSHOLE. We were gonna watch that from the start." I say hitting him on his arm.

"I know but I had to get you back from calling me corny." He just laughed off my hits like they weren't shit.

"Come on let's go back to your room and watch the movie." He said grabbing my hand.

"Fine let's go."

Knock knock.

As soon as we were about to leave there was a knock at the door.

"I'll go check so go ahead and pick a movie."

"Okay."

I went to check I wasn't expecting anyone and Iris doesn't come back till 8.

"Who is it?"

"It's me." Then I straight up got a attitude. Why does he have to be here? He seemed perfectly fine with his lady this morning.

"Why are you here?"

"Your mom wanted to talk."

Why the hell would she want too?

"Okay." I mumbled, I opened the door and see once again my father.

"Hi sweetheart." He reaches to hug me and I don't hug back. I also noticed he was alone.

"So where's the new girl?" I'll throw my little shade.

"She's at home. Where is your mo-"

"Athena do you want snacks- oh hello." Perfect timing Demain. Perfect.

"Hi. Athena can you bring me to your mom?" Great now I gotta deal with whatever bullshit he is coming up with.

"I'll be up in a minute Demain. She's in the kitchen, but I guess i'll take you." I walked to the kitchen and she was there.

"Here she is, now i'll leave you two." Let me hurry up.

"Athena, come back." Damn it not fast enough.

"Yes?"

"Why is he here?"

"Well we had a sleepover and I didn't want him to leave yet." Not the best choice of words but I don't care his words can't impact me anymore.

"He slept over? So you just letting her do whatever now?" I know he did not just come for my mom. So I answered for her.

"Yeah he slept over. I'm not doing whatever. Mom just isn't a asshole who thinks every little boy is gonna try have sex and actually lets me date ."

"What did you call me?"

"A asshole." I grew balls over the last 5 seconds. Now i'm in deep shit.

"I may not be here but i'm still your father. I demand Respect." Respect my ass.

"Yeah and I demand you leave me alone!" I went calmly to my room. Demain has been waiting a while. When I got to the stairs and Demain was waiting there.

"Sorry it took so long dad's you know."

"Athena cut the shit. I heard it." Wow.

"You can't be like that to your dad." I can and just did.

"You don't even talk to your dad anymore."

"We may not talk but your growing a hatred for him. You need to stop."
