Messed Up Shit

For Fucks Sake

It's almost 7 so Demain's mom should be here any minute. Demain is up and his doctor came again to check up on him. It was pretty boring so we basically napped, ate, and watched some cartoons. Right now we just watching SpongeBob, so I decided to call Noah since I should be going back to his house soon.

"Yo, Noah can you come get me in like 15 minutes."

"Ummm. I'm kinda busy right now. How about at 8?" That's way long but I can wait.

"Yeah no problem. I'll see you at 8 then."

"Mhmm bye." Then he hung up. Well I'm stuck here for another hour.

"Well Demain I'm gonna be here for another hour. You need to get better soon. I want to be with you but not in a hospital room." I wish this never happened, it's all my fault.

I rested my face in my hands.
'Damn. This is really all my fault. I shouldn't have called him to come get me. I should have never ran away from home. Then Demain wouldn't have ended up like this.' I started to silently cry. Then I heard Demain shuffle a little in his bed. I look up and he's gotten close the edge where I was sitting.

"Don-t c-ry it-s no--t y--ou-r fa--u-ul--t." How did know what I was thinking? Damn it I must have said it out loud. He didn't need to hear that. I need to go, this isn't good. Noah won't get here till like 8. Damn it.

"Oh, hi Athena. I'm so glad you stayed with Demain all day. You don't have to stay all night. It's a school night." Said Demain's mom was she walked in.

"No problem Ms.Knight and I won't be staying all night. Noah is going to come get me at 8. Since it's'- I take out my phone and check the time-' going on 7:05, I still have plenty time to stay.

"Great. The nurse Mr.Pitts I think says that everything was fine so far when I passed by him. Are you hungry? Hospital food isn't all that good." I'm starving. Thank god she asked.

"Yeah i'm just a little hungry."

"Okay i'll be right back, is some McDonalds fine?" This lady is awesome.

"Yeah that's perfect." Then she left. Demain's mom is awesome.

Mines is awesome, too. I just need to make things right. I'll try tomorrow.

After sitting for 15 minutes Demain's mom came back with the food.

"Here are some fries and nuggets for you. For Demain, I got you a smoothie."

"Thank you." No offense but I hate smoothies. I'll stick with my junk food.

We ate in silence and it was getting closer to 8. Now being 7:42. Then I got a text.

'Athena I'll be there in 10 minutes go to the lobby so you can just come out.' I guess Noah coming early.

"Looks like Noah is coming early. He's about to pull up. So i'll see you guys tomorrow." I walked over to Ms.Knight and gave her a hug and then over to Demain and kissed his forehead. As I was walking down to the front of the hospital I felt weird. It was just a bad feeling, but nothing can be bad now hopefully. I got to the front and seen Noah's car waiting. I walked over and someone else was in the passenger seat. I looked in and it was a girl. Confusion. So, I opened the back seat door and got in. As soon as I got in he pulled off.

"Hey Noah."

"Aye Athena. This is my grlfriend, Rosie." Then she turned around and said hi and I said it back. Wait? Since when did this happen? Oh fuck this.

"Noah I talked to my parents today and they said I can come back. So can we go get my stuff from your house and take me home?" I know lying is bad but i'm not about to go to his house if she is going to be there. Noah doesn't just have a girl with him this late unless if he about to do shit.

"Really? I thought they were mad pissed.You need me to come in with you as you go in?"

"They were but it's good now. I'm good if anything happens i'll let you know." This lying today needs to stop.

"You better."

We pulled up at his house and I went straight to his room to get my stuff. Quickly packing too. His mom wasn't here and I wanted to talk to her so bad, just to rant to someone.

"Okay all done."

"Good. Rosie you can wait in my room. I'll be back in a bit." She nodded and walked past me to go to his room. I walked back out the house and inside his car with my bag in my lap. He got in and we rode in silence. There wasn't a car in the drive way so dad must be somewhere on Earth. He pulled up in my driveway, we said goodbye. Then he left.

I took out my house key and unlocked the door.

Welcome back to Hell Athena. I walked in and immediately I see my mom sleeping on the couch. She must have been waiting for me all these days. On the floor at the foot of the couch was Coco.

She ran up to me and I hugged her tight. I didn't even realize I missed her so much. I rubbed her ears like I always do and just enjoyed her company.

"I'm finally home Coco. I've missed you so much." I started crying a little. Damn I left my baby here. Before we could wake up my mom I took Coco with me to my room. As I was walking to my room and Iris was in her room on her bed with the door open. I know she saw me because she caught me looking at her but we didn't say anything she only got up to close her door. Thanks for the warm welcome.

I go in my room and it has been cleaned. Not at all how I left it. Maybe me leaving wasn't helpful like I thought. I went to lay down in my fixed bed until I heard the front door open and slam shut.

"WHERE THE FUCK IS ATHENA?"

Great I haven't even been home for a hour and my dad is already drunk. Time to deal with more bullshit.
