The rest of the group were enjoying Bowling.  Alex was thrashing everyone except Candy rose who had opted out of the game early on when she broke a nail. Jay was having a run of bad luck and blamed everyone and everything for his low score and Floss and Finn were enjoying winding him up about it.

Jody however couldn't concentrate on the game. She kept thinking about Tyler. He had chosen to go to the funeral alone rather choose between Jody and Charlie. She should be with him at a time like this not having fun bowling. They were best friends and best friends look out for each other. Yet here she was at the bowling alley whilst he was going through one of the most difficult days of his life. Jody still remembered arriving at elm tree house as a scared nine year old, wild and unruly, refusing to bath, kicking and scratching anyone that attempted to wash her or put her in clean clothes. Tracy had managed to tame wildcat Jody and Tyler had become her first friend. She had followed him around everywhere. There was something so comforting about his warm and friendly nature, his smile and of course his pranks and magic tricks which kept her entertained for hours. They soon became firm friends and as they grew up together they grew closer. Jody couldn't imagine life without Tyler. If she had a problem it was Tyler she would confide in. When she wanted someone to watch a film with her or play computer games Tyler was the first person she thought of. He was the first person that she would talk to in the mornings and the last person she would say goodnight to. Her best friend was going through one of the most difficult experiences anyone could go through and she wasn't with him.

Penny for you thoughts said May-Li jolting jody out of her daze

Jody shrugged and tried to avoid May-Li's gaze

Tylers going to be alright you know.  She continued as if reading Jody's mind. You know why? Because he's got friends like you that have got his back.
